< 2 Piter 1 >

1 Kai Piter, Jisuh Khrih e guncei lah kaawm e ni maimae Cathut hoi rungngangkung Jisuh Khrih lannae lahoi kaimouh patetlah aphu kaawm yuemnae katawnnaw koe ca na patawn awh.
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ:
2 Cathut hoi maimae Bawipa Jisuh panuenae, lungmanae hoi lungmawngnae teh nangmouh koevah pungdaw lawiseh.
Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 Ama e bawilennae hoi ahawinae thungvah na ka kaw e Bawipa hah, maimouh ni panuenae lahoi Bawipa dawk kaawm e bawilennae teh hringnae hoi cungtalah Cathut lawk dawk khosaknae pueng teh maimouh koe na poe toe.
seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue,
by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
5 Hettelah kecu dawkvah nangmae yuemnae dawkvah hawinae, hawinae dawkvah lungangnae, lungangnae dawkvah mahoima kâcakuepnae,
Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;
6 mahoima kâcakuepnae dawkvah lungsawnae, lungsawnae dawkvah Cathut lawk dawk khosaknae,
and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness;
7 Cathut lawk dawk khosaknae dawkvah hmaunawngha lungkâpatawnae, hmaunawngha lungkâpatawnae dawkvah lungpatawnae hah thahmei lahoi patuen kâthap sin awh.
and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
8 Bangkongtetpawiteh, hete talen heh nangmouh dawk ao vaiteh pungdaw pawiteh, Bawipa Jisuh Khrih panuenae dawk aphu kaawm e tami, a paw kapaw e tami lah o awh han.
For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Hote talen ka tawn hoeh e taminaw teh, a mit ka dawn e lah ao. Yon thoungsak lah ao tangcoungnae hah a pahnim awh.
For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
10 Hatdawkvah hmaunawnghanaw, nangmouh kawnae hoi rawinae hoe acak nahanelah, hoe panki awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, hottelah na sak nah thungvah nâtuek hai lam na payon awh mahoeh.
Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
11 Hothloilah, maimae Bawipa hoi rungngangkung Jisuh Khrih e yungyoe uknaeram thungvah, kâen thainae kâ kakueplah na hmu awh han. (aiōnios g166)
For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Therefore I will not be negligent to remind you of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth.
I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,
knowing that the putting off of my tent comes swiftly, even as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.
Yes, I will make every effort that you may always be able to remember these things even after my departure.
For we didn’t follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Pa Cathut koehoi e barinae hoi bawilennae teh Bawipa ni a pang e lah hmu navah, ka talue poung e bawilennae thung hoiyah, ahni teh kai ni ka lungpataw e ka Capa doeh, ahni dawk ka lung akuep tie lawk hah Bawipa koe hoi a daw.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
18 Kaimanaw teh kathoungpounge mon dawk Bawipa hoi rei ka o awh navah kalvan hoi ka tho e hote lawk teh ka thai awh.
We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
19 Hothloilah, maimouh koe hoe Kacake profet lawknaw hai ao. Nangmae lungthin thungvah khodai teh, amom tempalo a tâco ditouh hote lawk teh hmonae koe ka ang e hmaiim patetlah na pouk awh hanelah ao.
We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts,
20 Cakathoung dawk kaawm e sutdeilawknaw pueng teh, tami buet touh ni amae a ngainae lahoi a pâpho e nahoeh tie hmaloe panue hanlah a o.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.
21 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nâtuek hai sutdeilawk teh tami ngainae lahoi ka tâcawt e nahoeh. Kathoung Muitha hroecoenae ka coe pueng niteh, Cathut koehoi ka tho e lawk kapâphokung lah doeh ao awh.
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
