And Solomon son of David strengthens himself over his kingdom, and his God YHWH [is] with him, and makes him exceedingly great.
2 Solomon ni Isarelnaw abuemlah ransa 1000 touh kaukkungnaw, 100 touh kaukkungnaw, lawkcengkungnaw, Isarel ram kahrawikungnaw hoi imthung kahrawikungnaw abuemlah koe lawk a dei pouh.
And Solomon says to all Israel, to heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, and to the ones judging, and to every honorable one of all Israel, heads of the fathers,
3 Hahoi, BAWIPA e san Mosi ni a sak e rangpuinaw kamkhuengnae, Cathut e lukkareiim teh, Gibeon kho hmuen rasang koe ao dawkvah rangpuinaw abuemlah hoi Solomon hoi cungtalah a cei awh.
and they go—Solomon, and all the assembly with him—to the high place that [is] in Gibeon, for God’s Tent of Meeting has been there, that Moses, servant of YHWH, made in the wilderness,
4 Cathut e lawkkam thingkong teh Devit ni a rakueng tangcoung e hmuen, Jerusalem kho, a sak tangcoung e lukkareiim dawk, Kiriath-Jearim kho hoi a thokhai awh.
but David had the Ark of God brought up from Kirjath-Jearim to the [place] David had prepared for it, for he stretched out a tent for it in Jerusalem;
5 Hatei, Hur capa lah kaawm e Uri capa Bezalel ni a sak e rahum, thuengnae khoungroe hah BAWIPA e lukkareiim hmalah a hruek awh dawkvah, Solomon hoi taminaw teh hote thuengnae khoungroe koe a cei awh.
and the altar of bronze that Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur made, he put before the Dwelling Place of YHWH; and Solomon and the assembly seek Him [there].
6 Hottelah kamkhuengnae lukkareiim hmalah, BAWIPA hmalah kaawm e rahum thuengnae khoungroe koe Solomon a cei teh, hmaisawi thuengnae sathei 1000 touh hoi thuengnae a sak.
And Solomon goes up there, on the altar of bronze, before YHWH, that [is] at the Tent of Meeting, and causes one thousand burnt-offerings to ascend on it.
7 Hote karum vah, Solomon koe Cathut a kamnue teh, Bangmaw na poe han het haw, atipouh.
In that night God has appeared to Solomon and says to him, “Ask—what do I give to you?”

And Solomon says to God, “You have done great kindness with my father David, and have caused me to reign in his stead.
9 Hatdawkvah, oe BAWIPA Cathut, vaiphu patetlah e taminaw e siangpahrang hmuen koe na hruek toung dawkvah, apa Devit koe lawk na kam e kuep sak loe.
Now, O YHWH God, Your word with my father David is steadfast, for You have caused me to reign over a people [as] numerous as the dust of the earth;
10 Hete taminaw hmalah ka tâco kâen thai nahanelah, lungangnae hoi panuethainae na poe haw. Hettelah kapap e taminaw hah apinimaw a uk thai han, telah atipouh.
now, give wisdom and knowledge to me, and I go out before this people, and I come in, for who judges this—Your great people?”
11 Cathut ni Solomon koevah, hottelah pouknae na tawn teh, hnopai tawntanae, barinae hoi tarannaw e hringnae, na het laipalah nang koe siangpahrang na coungsaknae dawk ka taminaw na uk thai nahanelah lungangnae hoi panuethainae na hei dawkvah,
And God says to Solomon, “Because that this has been with your heart, and you have not asked for riches, wealth, and honor, and the life of those hating you, and also have not asked for many days, and ask for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you judge My people over which I have caused you to reign—

the wisdom and the knowledge is given to you, and riches and wealth and honor I [also] give to you, that there has not been so to the kings who [are] before you, and after you it is not so.”
13 Hatdawkvah, Solomon teh hmuen karasang koe e lukkareiim a onae Gibeon kho hoi Jerusalem lah a ban teh Isarelnaw a uk.
And Solomon comes in to Jerusalem [from] the high place that [is] in Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, and reigns over Israel,
14 Solomon ni rangleng hoi marangransanaw a pâkhueng parai teh, rangleng 400 hoi marang kâcuie tami 12,000 touh a tawn. Hotnaw teh rangleng tanae kho dawk thoseh, Jerusalem siangpahrang onae koe thoseh, hawvah a ta awh.
and Solomon gathers chariots and horsemen, and he has one thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem.
15 Siangpahrang teh Jerusalem kho vah, sui, ngun hah talung patetlah sidar thingnaw hah ayawn dawk kapâw e thailahei kungnaw patetlah thoseh apapsak.
And the king makes the silver and the gold in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he made as sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.
16 Solomon ni a tawn e marangnaw teh, Izip ram lahoi a thokhaienaw doeh. Siangpahrang e hno kayawtnaw ni aphu kâki lah Kue kho e ouk a ran awh.
And the source of the horses that [are] for Solomon [is] from Egypt and from Keva; merchants of the king take [them] from Keva at a price,
17 Izip ram rangleng buet touh ngun shekel 600, marang buet touh ngun shekel 150 touh hoi ouk a yo awh. Hit siangpahrang hoi Siria siangpahrangnaw pueng koehai ouk a yo pouh awh.
and they come up, and bring out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram—they bring [them] out by their hand.
