< 2 Setouknae 33 >

1 Manasseh teh siangpahrang a tawk nah kum 12 touh a pha teh, Jerusalem vah kum 35 touh a bawi.
Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
2 Hahoi, BAWIPA mithmu vah hawihoehnae, Isarelnaw e hmalah BAWIPA ni a pâlei e naw ni a sak e panuettho e hno hah a sak.
And he did evil before the Lord, according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel:
3 Bangkongtetpawiteh, a na pa Hezekiah ni raphoe e hmuenrasang hah bout a pathoup, Baal hanelah thuengnae a sak. Thingmeikaphawknaw kalvan kaawm e naw hai a bawk awh teh thaw a tawk pouh awh.
And he turned, and built again the high places which Ezechias his father had destroyed: and he built altars to Baalim, and made groves, and he adored all the host of heaven, and worshipped them.
4 Jerusalem vah ka min yungyoe ao han, BAWIPA ni a dei e hmuen BAWIPA im dawk khoungroe hah a sak.
He built also altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said: In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 BAWIPA e im thongma kahni touh dawk kalvan kaawm e naw pueng hanelah thuengnae a sak.
And he built them for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 Amae capa hah Hinnom yawn dawk hmaisawi thuengnae lah a sak. Kahraikawnae hoi ânnae hah a hno teh, khueyuenaw, hmauinaw haiyah kâ a poe. BAWIPA lungkhuek sak nahanlah a hmaitung vah yonnae a sak.
And he made his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of Benennom: he observed dreams, followed divinations, gave himself up to magic arts, had with him magicians, and enchanters: and he wrought many evils before the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 Cathut ni Devit hoi a capa Solomon koe, hete im Jerusalem kho Isarel miphunnaw thung hoi ka rawi e naw koe ka min teh yungyoe hoi ka o sak han.
He set also a graven, and a molten statue in the house of God, of which God had said to David, and to Solomon his son: In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever.
8 Kaie kâlawknaw hoi kâpoelawknaw pueng, phunglamnaw hoi tarawi hane naw, Mosi hno lahoi kâpoe e naw hah na tarawi pawiteh, mintoenaw koe ka poe tangcoung e ram thung hoi Isarelnaw e khok teh ka cetsak mahoeh, telah a dei e, Cathut e im dawkvah ama ni sak e meikaphawk hah a ta.
And I will not make the foot of Israel to be removed out of the land which I have delivered to their fathers: yet so if they will take heed to do what I hare commanded them, and all the law, and the ceremonies, and judgments by the hand of Moses.
9 Manasseh ni JUdah taminaw hoi Jerusalem e taminaw hah yonnae a sak sak. Hat toteh, BAWIPA ni Isarelnaw e hmalah a raphoe e miphunnaw hlak yonnae hoe kapap lah a sak awh.
So Manasses seduced Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do evil beyond all the nations, which the Lord had destroyed before the face of the children of Israel.
10 BAWIPA ni Manasseh hoi a taminaw koevah, Lawk ouk a dei ei, banglahai ngai awh hoeh.
And the Lord spoke to him, and to his people, and they would not hearken.
11 Hatdawkvah, BAWIPA ni Assiria ransa kahrawikungnaw a patoun teh, Manasseh hah pâkhing um a man awh teh, sumbawtarui hoi a pâkhi awh teh, Babilon lah a hrawi awh.
Therefore he brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of the Assyrians: and they took Manasses, and carried him bound with chains and fetters to Babylon.
12 Puenghoi kângairu lah ao toteh, BAWIPA hah a tawng teh, mintoenaw e Cathut hmalah puenghoi a kârahnoum.
And after that he was in distress he prayed to the Lord his God: and did penance exceedingly before the God of his fathers.
13 A ratoumnae teh, BAWIPA ni a thai pouh teh, Jerusalem kho amae uknaeram lah bout a hrawi. Hahoi Manasseh ni Jehovah teh Cathut doeh tie hah a panue.
And he entreated him, and besought him earnestly: and he heard his prayer, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom, and Manasses knew that the Lord was God.
14 Hahoi teh Devit khopui alawilae Gihon kanîloumlae ayawn koe tanga longkha kâennae totouh rapan a sak. Ophel rapan teh rasang poung lah a sak. Judah kho rapan katawnnaw koe tarankahawi e kahrawikungnaw a hruek.
After this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon in the valley, from the entering in of the fish gate round about to Ophel, and raised it up to a great height: and he appointed captains of the army in all the fenced cities of Juda:
15 Hahoi BAWIPA im dawk kaawm e ramlouk e cathutnaw hoi meikaphawknaw pueng hah a takhoe. BAWIPA e im rahim hoi Jerusalem e thuengnae a sak e naw pueng hah kho alawilah he a tâkhawng.
And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the Lord: the altars also which he had made in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and he cast them all out of the city.
16 Hahoi BAWIPA hanlah thuengnae khoungroe a sak teh, roum thuengnae hoi lunghawilawkdeinae a sak teh, Judahnaw hah Isarelnaw e BAWIPA Cathut e thaw tawk hanelah kâ a poe.
And he repaired the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed upon it victims, and peace offerings, and praise: and he commanded Juda to serve the Lord the God of Israel.
17 Taminaw teh hmuen rasang poung koe thuengnae a sak awh eiteh, amamae BAWIPA Cathut koe doeh a sak awh.
Nevertheless the people still sacrificed in the high places to the Lord their God.
18 Manasseh tawksaknae thung dawk hoi kaawm rae naw, Cathut koevah a ratoumnae hoi Isarel BAWIPA Cathut min lahoi profet ni ahni koevah lawk a dei e dawkvah, khenhaw. Isarel siangpahrangnaw e lairui cauk dawk thut lah ao nahoehmaw.
But the rest of the acts of Manasses, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the Lord the God of Israel, are contained in the words of the kings of Israel.
19 A ratoumnae hoi Cathut ni a lungmanae kong hoi a kârahnoum hoehnahlan yonnae pueng hoi hmuenrasang a sak teh, thingmeikaphawk a sak e naw pueng, khenhaw! Hozai cauk dawk thut lah ao.
His prayer also, and his being heard, and all his sins, and contempt, and places wherein he built high places, and set up groves, and statues before he did penance, are written in the words of Hozai.
20 Hahoi Manasseh teh a mintoenaw koe a i teh, ama im vah a pakawp. Hahoi a capa Ammon ni a yueng lah a uk.
And Manasses slept with his fathers. and they buried him in his house: and his son Amen reigned in his stead.
21 Ammon siangpahrang a tawk nah 22 touh a pha teh, Jerusalem vah kum 2 touh a bawi.
Amen was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
22 A na pa Manasseh ni a sak e patetlah BAWIPA e hmaitung hawihoehnae a sak. A na pa Manasseh ni a sak e meikaphawknaw koevah, Ammon ni thuengnae a sak teh, thaw a tawk pouh.
And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as Manasses his father had done: and he sacrificed to all the idols which Manasses his father had made, and served them.
23 A na pa Manasseh ni a kârahnoum e patetlah BAWIPA hmaitung kârahnoum ngai hoeh. Ammon teh hoehoe a payon.
And he did not humble himself before the Lord, as Manasses his father had humbled himself, but committed far greater sins.
24 A sannaw ni a youk awh teh, ama im vah a thei awh.
And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.
25 Hatei Ammon ka youk e taminaw teh khocanaw ni he a thei awh. Hahoi khocanaw ni a capa Josiah teh a yueng lah siangpahrang a tawk sak awh.
But the rest of the multitude of the people slew them that had killed Amen, and made Josias his son king in his stead.
