1 Yuemkamcu lah hno a sak awh hnukkhu, Assiria siangpahrang Sennacherib hah a tho teh, Judah ram lah a kâen. Kalup e khopui la hanelah noe lahoi a kalup awh.
After these things, and this faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fortified cities, and thought to win them for himself.
And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib came, and that he intended to fight against Jerusalem,
3 kho alawilah kaawm e tuinaw tapuet hanelah, kahrawikungnaw hoi athakaawme taminaw koe pouknae a hei teh ahni hah a kabawp awh.
he took counsel with his rulers and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were outside the city. And they helped him.
4 Hot patetlah tami moikapap a kamkhueng awh teh, tuinaw pueng hoi kho dawk ka lawng e naw hah a paka awh. Bangkongmaw, Assiria siangpahrang a kâen vaiteh, tui moikapap a tawn han, telah a ti.
So there was gathered together many people. And they stopped all the fountains, and the brook that flowed through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
5 Hottelah hoi kalupnae katimnaw pueng tha a patho awh teh a sak awh. Imrasang hah alawilah kalupnae hoi a sak. Devit kho e Millo rapan a caksak awh teh, senehmaica hoi bahling moikapap lah a sak.
And he took courage, and built up all the wall that was broken down, and raised it up to the towers, and the other wall outside, and strengthened Millo in the city of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.
6 Tarantuknae koe kahrawikung kacuenaw a rawi awh. Khopui longkha koe a kamkhueng sak awh.
And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the broad place at the gate of the city, and spoke encouragingly to them, saying,
7 Thasai lahoi tarankahawilah awm awh haw. Assiria siangpahrang hoi ahni koe kaawmnaw takhek awh hanh. Na lungpout awh hanh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, maimouh koelah kampang e teh, ahnimouh koelah kampang e hlak a thasaihnawn.
Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid nor dismayed of the king of Assyria, nor of all the multitude that is with him. For there is a greater with us than with him.
8 Ahnimouh koe kampang e teh takthai ransa lah ao. Taminaw ni Judah siangpahrang Hezekiah ni a dei e dawk a kâuep awh.
With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is Jehovah our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
9 Hathnukkhu Assiria siangpahrang Sennacherib ni ama hoi a ransanaw teh, Lakhish vah ao awh. Judah siangpahrang Hezekiah hoi Jerusalem e Judah taminaw pueng koevah,
After this Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem (now he was before Lachish, and all his power with him) to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,
10 Assiria siangpahrang Sennacherib hettelah a dei, Jerusalem la hanelah bangkongmaw na yuem awh hoeh.
Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, On what do ye trust that ye remain in the siege in Jerusalem?
Does not Hezekiah persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, Jehovah our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
Hote khoungroe van vah, hmuitui hah hmai na sawi awh han telah Judah khoca, Jerusalem khocanaw hah kâ poe hoeh namaw.
Has not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and upon it ye shall burn incense?
Bangpatetlae miphun Cathut ni nakunghai, ka kut thung hoi a ram hah a rungngang thai yaw maw.
Know ye not what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?
Who was there among all the gods of those nations, which my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
Ahni teh yuem awh hanh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, bangpatet lae miphun cathut hoi, bangpatet e uknaeram cathut nihai, ka kut thung hoi ka mintoenaw e kut thung hoi na ka rungngang thai hane awm boihoeh. Bangtelamaw, nangmae cathut ni bout na rungngang thai awh han rah, telah Jerusalem vah tami a patoun.
Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you after this manner, neither believe ye him. For no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers. How much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?
16 A taminaw ni hothlak hoe kacaihnawn lah BAWIPA Cathut hoi a san Hezekiah kong dawk kathout lahoi lawk a dei awh.
And his servants spoke yet more against Jehovah God, and against his servant Hezekiah.

He also wrote letters, to rail on Jehovah, the God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of the lands, which have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall the God of Hezekiah not deliver his people out of my hand.
18 Khopui a la thai awh nahan, a pakhi awh teh a lungpuen sak awh nahan Jerusalem kalupnae koe kaawmnaw hah Hebru lawk lahoi kacaipounglah pou a hram sin awh.
And they cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them, and to trouble them, that they might take the city.
19 Jerusalem Cathut teh, tami kut hoi sak e talai cathut patetlah a dudam awh.
And they spoke of the God of Jerusalem, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.
20 Siangpahrang Hezekiah hoi Amoz capa profet Isaiah niteh, haw e hno dawk a ratoum teh kalvan kaawm e hah a kaw.
And Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried out to heaven.
21 BAWIPA ni kalvantami a patoun teh, ama ni Assiria siangpahrang a roenae koe e tarankahawi ni teh athakaawme taminaw hoi kahrawikung kacuenaw hah a thei awh. Hottelahoi minhmai ka mathout lahoi a ram koelah a ban. A cathut im vah a cei lahun nah, a thung hoi e a canaw roeroe ni tahloi hoi a thei awh.
And Jehovah sent an agent who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he came into the house of his god, those who came forth from his own bowels killed him there with the sword.
22 Hot patetlah BAWIPA ni Hezekiah hoi Jerusalem taminaw teh Assiria siangpahrang Sennacherib kut dawk hoi alouke tami kut dawk hoi a rungngang teh a tengpam e naw thung hoi a ring awh.
Thus Jehovah saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
Aphu kaawm poung e hnonaw hah Judah siangpahrang Hezekiah koevah a poe awh. Hatnae tueng hoi teh, miphun pueng e mithmu vah oup e lah ao.
And many brought gifts to Jehovah to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah. So that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.
24 Hatnae tueng dawk Hezekiah teh meimei kadout lah a pataw. BAWIPA koevah a ratoum, lawk a dei pouh teh mitnoutnae a poe.
In those days Hezekiah was sick even to death, and he prayed to Jehovah. And he spoke to him, and gave him a sign.
25 Hatei teh Hezekiah ni ahni hanelah hawinae sak ngai hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a kâoup. Hatdawkvah, ama hoi Judah tami hoi Jerusalem lathueng lungkhueknae a pha.
But Hezekiah did not render again according to the benefit done to him. For his heart was lifted up. Therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Jehovah did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
27 Hezekiah teh hnopai moikapap a tawn dawkvah a bari awh. Ngun, sui, talung aphu kaawm, hmuitui, bahling, kahawi e hnopai hrueknae im hai a sak.
And Hezekiah had exceedingly much riches and honor. And he provided for him treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of goodly vessels,

also store-houses for the increase of grain and new wine and oil, and stalls for all manner of beasts, and flocks in folds.
29 Khoha a thawng teh, tuhu hoi maitohu moikapap a tawn. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut ni a tawnta sak.
Moreover he provided for him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance. For God had given him very much substance.
30 Hezekiah ni Gihon palang hah a pauem teh, Devit khopui kanîloumlah a lawng sak. Hottelah Hezekiah teh a sak nah tangkuem a lamcawn.
This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper spring of the waters of Gihon, and brought them straight down on the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

However in the business of the ambassadors of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
32 Hezekiah tawksaknae pueng dawk hoi kaawm rae hawinae a sak e naw teh, khenhaw! Amoz capa profet Isaiah kamnuenae cauk, Judah Isarel siangpahrangnaw setouknae dawk a thut awh nahoehmaw.
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the ascent of the sepulchers of the sons of David. And all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem honored him at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
