< 1 Timote 1 >
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the appointment of God our Savior, and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 Na pa Cathut hoi maimae Jisuh Khrih koehoi lungmanae, pahrennae hoi lungmawngnae teh nang koe awm lawiseh.
to Timothy, my true son in the faith; grace, mercy, peace from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Masidonia ram lah ka cei navah kai ni na hroecoe e patetlah Efisa kho la na o teh, alouklouk e cangkhainae cangkhai hoeh nahanelah,
As, on going into Macedonia, I besought you to remain in Ephesus, that you might charge some that they teach no other thing,
4 lairuipakong hoi ka pout thai hoeh e miphun tâconae hah banglah pouk awh hoeh nahanelah, cingthui haw. Hote hnonaw niteh yuemnae hlak kâounnae doeh a tâco sak.
nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which produce disputes rather than godly edification, which is in faith;
5 Hatei kâpoelawk ni ngainae teh, kathounge lungthin hoi thoseh, kathounge mahoima kâpanuenae hoi thoseh, kathounge yuemnae hoi thoseh, kâkuen e lungpatawnae hah doeh.
(Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and out of a good conscience, and out of faith unfeigned:
6 Hote hno dawk hoi tami tangawn ni a roun awh teh, aphu kaawm hoeh e lawk deinae koe lah a kamlang awh toe.
which things some not having aimed at, have turned aside to idle disputation,
7 Bangpatetlae phung koe lah maw kacaklah ka o awh tie hai kâpanuek awh laipalah, kacangkhaikung saya lah o han a ngai awh bo aw.
desiring to be teachers of law, though understanding neither what they say nor of what they boldly affirm.
8 Kâlawk teh hnokahawi kasaknaw hanelah ta e nahoeh.
But we know that the law is good, if any one use it lawfully;
9 Kâlawklaipa hoi lawkkangaihoehnaw, cathutlaipa hoi tamikayonnaw, kathounghoehnaw hoi lawkkatang banglahai ka pouk hoeh e naw, manu kathetnaw hoi na pa kathetnaw,
knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and for scorners, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man-slayers,
10 tami kathetnaw, kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae kasaknaw, tongpa reira yonnae kasaknaw, tami kaparawtnaw, laithoe kadeinaw, laithoe koe lah thoekâbonaw, kathounge cangkhainae katarannaw pueng hanelah doeh kâlawk teh ta pouh e lah ao. Hote kâlawk hah hmantang ka hno e taminaw teh, hote kâlawk ni hawinae a poe.
for lewd persons, for sodomites, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and for whatever other thing is opposed to sound teaching,
11 Hottelah ka ti navah, Yawhawi Cathut e bawilen kamthang kahawi teh kai na poe toe.
according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which has been intrusted to me.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me power, because he counted me faithful, and put me into the ministry;
13 Kai teh ahmaloe vah, kapathoekung, kadudamkung, ayâ karektapkung lah ka o eiteh, yuemhoehnae hoi panuek laipalah hoi ka tawksak e a tho dawkvah, lungmanae ka coenae doeh.
me, I say, who before was a reviler and a persecutor and an overbearing man. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief:
14 Maimae Bawipa e a lungmanae haiyah, Khrih Jisuh thung kaawm e yuemnae hoi lungpatawnae hoi cungtalah pouk e hlak a kuep toe.
and the grace of our Lord was very abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 Khrih Jisuh ni het talaivan a tho ngainae teh tamikayon rungngang hanlah a tho tie teh, yuemkamcu e hoi dâw hane roeroe lah a kamcu. Hote tamikayonnaw thung dawkvah kai teh kalenpounge lah ka o.
Assuredly true and worthy of all acceptation is this saying: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
16 Hateiteh, a yungyoe hringnae coe nahanlah ka yuem hane naw ni a dawn han kawi lah ao nahan, kalenpounge yonnae ka tawn e kai hah Jisuh Khrih ni lungsawnae hoi panguepnae na patue toe. (aiōnios )
But for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering, for an example to those who might afterward believe on him in order to life eternal. (aiōnios )
17 A yungyoe siangpahrang, kangning e, hmuthaihoehe, Cathut buet touh dueng teh barinae, bawilennae a yungyoe hoi a yungyoe awm lawiseh, Amen. (aiōn )
Now to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, be honor and glory from age to age. Amen.)
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, in accordance with the preceding prophecies concerning you, that by them you may war the good warfare,
19 Tami tangawn ni yuemnae a takhoe awh dawkvah, yuemnae long a rawk teh rawknae koe a pha awh toe.
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust from them, as it respects faith have made shipwreck; of whom are Hymenæus and Alexander,

whom I have delivered to Satan, that they may learn not to revile.
