1 Samuel 10

Then Samuel tooke a viole of oyle and powred it vpon his head, and kissed him, and saide, Hath not the Lord anointed thee to be gouernour ouer his inheritance?
2 Sahnin kai koehoi na cei toteh, Benjamin ram khori Zelzah kho Rachel tangkom koevah tami kahni touh na hmu han. Ahnimouh roi ni na tawng awh e la a hmu awh toe. Na pa ni la kong hah pouk mahoeh toe. Ka capa hanelah bangmaw ka sak han vai ati telah nang koe na dei pouh awh han.
When thou shalt depart from me this day, thou shalt finde two men by Rahels sepulchre in the border of Beniamin, euen at Zelzah, and they will say vnto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seeke, are founde: and lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and soroweth for you, saying, What shall I doe for my sonne?

Then shalt thou go forth from thence and shalt come to the plaine of Tabor, and there shall meete thee three men going vp to God to Bethel: one carying three kiddes, and an other carying three loaues of bread, and another carying a bottle of wine:

And they will aske thee if all be well, and will giue thee the two loaues of bread, which thou shalt receiue of their handes.
5 Hathnukkhu hoi, Filistinnaw onae koe Cathut mon dawk na pha awh han. Kho koe na pha awh navah, hmuen rasang koehoi ka kum e profetnaw na hmu awh han. Ahnimae a hmalah ratoung, tapueng, vovit, tâbaw khawng awh vaiteh profet lawk a dei awh han.
After that shalt thou come to the hill of God, where is the garisons of the Philistims: and when thou art come thither to the citie, thou shalt meete a companie of Prophets comming downe from the hie place with a viole, and a tymbrell, and a pipe, and an harpe before them, and they shall prophecie.

Then the Spirit of the Lord will come vpon thee, and thou shalt prophecie with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
7 Nang dawk mitnoutnaw ao toteh kamcu lah sak loe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut nang koe ao.
Therefore when these signes shall come vnto to thee, doe as occasion shall serue: for God is with thee.
8 Gilgal vah ka hmalah la cet leih. Kai hai hmaisawi thuengnae hoi roum thuengnae sak hanelah nang koe ka tho han. Nang koe ka tho hoehroukrak hnin 7 touh na ring han. Na sak hane kawi na dei pouh awh han.
And thou shalt goe downe before me to Gilgal: and I also will come downe vnto thee to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace. Tary for me seuen dayes, till I come to thee and shewe thee what thou shalt doe.

And when he had turned his backe to goe from Samuel, God gaue him another heart: and all those tokens came to passe that same day.
10 Mon koe a pha toteh, profetnaw ni a kâhmo navah BAWIPA e Muitha ni Sawl e lathueng a pha teh ahnimouh koe profet lawk a pâpho van.
And when they came thither to the hill, beholde, the companie of Prophets meete him, and the Spirit of God came vpon him, and he prophecied among them.
11 Sawl teh profetnaw hoi cungtalah profet lawk a pâpho e hah hoehnahlan, ahni la kapanueknaw ni a hmu awh navah, Kish capa dawk hno kaawm e bangtelane. Sawl hai profetnaw koe ka bawk van e na ou telah a kâ pacei awh.
Therefore all the people that knewe him before, when they saw that he prophecied among the Prophets, saide eche to other, What is come vnto the sonne of Kish? is Saul also among the Prophets?
12 Hawvah kaawm e tami buet touh ni, ahnimae a na pa hah apimaw telah a pacei nah, Sawl hai profet lah ao na maw tie lawk teh panuilai lah a hno awh.
And one of the same place answered, and said, But who is their father? Therefore it was a prouerbe, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
13 Sawl teh profet lawk a pâpho hnukkhu hmuen karasang koe a cei.
And when he had made an ende of prophecying, he came to the hie place.
14 Sawl e panga ni nâ lah maw na cei awh telah ama hoi a sannaw a pacei navah, la naw ka tawng awh ka hmu awh hoeh dawk Samuel koe ka cei awh telah atipouh awh.
And Sauls vncle saide vnto him, and to his seruant, Whither went ye? And he saide, To seeke the asses: and when we sawe that they were no where, we came to Samuel.
15 Sawl e panga ni, Samuel ni nang koe bangmaw a dei, na dei pouh haw telah a pacei.
And Sauls vncle saide, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said vnto you.
16 Sawl ni lanaw ka hmu awh toe tie na dei pouh telah a panga koe bout a dei pouh. Hatei uknae kong Samuel ni a dei e hah dei hoeh.
Then Saul saide to his vncle, He tolde vs plainely that the asses were founde: but concerning the kingdome whereof Samuel spake, tolde he him not.
17 Samuel ni Mizpah kho dawk taminaw BAWIPA koe a kamkhueng sak.
And Samuel assembled the people vnto the Lord in Mizpeh,
18 Isarelnaw koe Isarel BAWIPA Cathut ni hettelah a dei. Izip taminaw e kut thung hoi a khok hoi a coungroe e ram pueng dawk hoi ka rungngang.
And he saide vnto the children of Israel, Thus saith ye Lord God of Israel, I haue brought Israel out of Egypt, and deliuered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the handes of all kingdomes that troubled you.
19 Hatei sahnin vah na reithainae, rucatnae pueng thung hoi nangmouh ka rungngang e Cathut roeroe hah na ngai awh hoeh. Ahni koe siangpahrang mah kaimouh han na rawi pouh awh telah na dei awh. Hatdawkvah, na miphun, na imthungkhu lahoi BAWIPA hmalah hnai awh atipouh.
But ye haue this day cast away your God, who onely deliuereth you out of all your aduersities and tribulations: and ye said vnto him, No, but appoint a King ouer vs. Nowe therefore stand ye before the Lord according to your tribes, and according to your thousands.
20 Samuel ni Isarel miphunnaw hah ama koe a tho sak teh Benjamin miphun hah a rawi.
And when Samuel had gathered together all the tribes of Israel, the tribe of Beniamin was taken.
21 Benjamin miphunnaw a imthung lahoi a tho sak teh Matri imthungnaw a rawi. Kish capa Sawl hah a rawi. Ahnimouh ni a tawng awh eiteh hmawt awh hoeh.
Afterwarde he assembled the tribe of Beniamin according to their families, and the familie of Matri was taken. So Saul the sonne of Kish was taken, and when they sought him, he coulde not be found.
22 Ahnimouh ni BAWIPA hah bout a pacei awh teh, ka tho hane tami ao rah maw, telah ati. BAWIPA ni khenhaw! hnonaw a rahak a kâhro telah atipouh.
Therefore they asked the Lord againe, if that man should yet come thither. And the Lord answered, Beholde, he hath hid himselfe among the stuffe.
23 Ayawng sin awh teh a thokhai awh. Tamimaya koe a kangdue nah ahnimanaw hlak a rasang poung apinihai aloung tapuet pouh hoeh.
And they ranne, and brought him thence: and when he stoode among the people, he was hier then any of the people from the shoulders vpwarde.
24 Samuel ni taminaw koe, BAWIPA ni a rawi e na hmu awh maw. Taminaw thung dawk ahni patet e buet touh hai awmhoeh telah ati teh tamimaya ni a hram awh teh siangpahrang hring saw naseh ati awh.
And Samuel saide to all the people, See ye not him, whom the Lord hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? and all the people shouted and saide, God saue the King.
25 Samuel ni taminaw koe a sakyoe e a dei pouh. Cauk dawk a thut pouh teh, BAWIPA e hmalah a hruek awh. Hahoi Samuel ni taminaw ama im lah be a cei sak.
Then Samuel tolde the people the duetie of the kingdome, and wrote it in a booke, and laied it vp before the Lord, and Samuel sent all the people away euery man to his house.
26 Sawl hai Gibeah kho ama im vah a ban van. Cathut ni a lung ka youk e taran kahawinaw ahni hoi rei a cei awh.
Saul also went home to Gibeah, and there followed him a bande of men, whose heart God had touched,
27 Hatei taran ka thaw e tami tangawn ni hete tami ni maimanaw bangtelamaw na rungngang thai han telah ati awh teh, a dudam awh teh, poehno hai poe awh hoeh. Hatei Sawl ni duem ao.
But the wicked men saide, Howe shall hee saue vs? So they despised him, and brought him no presents: but he held his tongue.
