< 1 Piter 5 >
1 Kacue lah kaawm niteh, Khrih e reithainae ka kampangkhai e lah kaawm e, kamnuek hane Bawipa e a bawilennae kahmawng hane kai, Piter ni nangmouh thung dawk e kacuenaw hah na hroecoe awh.
The elders who are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2 Nangmouh hoi rei na kaawm e Cathut e tuhu hah na khoum e hno dawk, na khoum thai dawk nahoeh, kathounghoehe hnopai ngai dawk hai nahoeh, lungthonae hoiyah khenyawn awh.
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight [of it], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but from a ready mind;
3 Bawinaw ni kâtawnnae lahoi uk laipalah tuhu hmalah khetsin kamcu e tami lah awm awh.
Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being examples to the flock.
4 Hottelah na sak pawiteh, Tukhoum kalen a tho toteh nangmouh teh kamyai thai hoeh e bawilennae bawilukhung na hmu awh han.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Hot patetlah kanawnaw, kacuenaw e lawk hah ngâi awh. Hothloilah buet touh hoi buet touh kârahnoum awh nateh lungdonae puengcang kâmahrawk awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kâoupkâpawi e taminaw teh Cathut ni a cakâ. Lungthin kârahnoum e taminaw teh yawhawinae a poe.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Hatdawkvah atueng a kuep toteh Cathut ni nangmouh teh na oup awh nahanelah thaonae kut rahim vah namahoima kârahnoum awh.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Nangmouh takuetluet na khet dawkvah, nangmae tâsuenae hnonaw pueng Bawipa koe poe awh.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Kâhruetcuet hoi ip laipalah ring awh. Nangmae taran lah kaawm e kahraimathout teh ka huk e sendek patetlah apimaw ka padoun han telah yuengyoe a tawng.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Hatdawkvah, talaivan dawk kaawm e hmaunawnghanaw hah hot patet e reithainae a khang awh telah pouk nateh yuemnae dawkvah kacakcalah awm awh nateh ahni hah ngang awh.
Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you]. (aiōnios )
11 A thaonae teh a yungyoe ama koe awm lawiseh. Amen. (aiōn )
To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
12 Kai ni nangmanaw teh tha poenae lahoi na coun awh teh nangmouh ni na kâuep awh e hnonaw hah Cathut e yawhawinae katang doeh telah panuek awh. Hete ca teh kaduemcalah ka thut teh, nangmouh koe yuemkamcu e hmaunawngha Silvanas koehoi patuen na patawn awh.
By Silvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which ye stand.
13 Ka ca, Mark hoi Babilon khopui dawk kaawm e nangmouh hoi cungtalah rawi lah kaawm e ni nangmouh kut na man awh.
The [church that is] at Babylon, elected together with [you], saluteth you; and [so doth] Mark my son.
14 Buet touh hoi buet touh lungkâpataw lahoi kâpaco awh. Khrih Jisuh thung e roumnae teh nangmouh abuemlah koe awm lawiseh. Amen.
Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace [be] with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
