according to the predetermination of God the Father, by a sanctification of the Spirit, in order to obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Favor and peace be multiplied to you.
3 Maimae Bawipa Jisuh Khrih e Pa Cathut teh yawhawinae awm lawiseh. Bawipa ni amae ka lentoe poung e a pahrennae hoi Jisuh Khrih duenae koehoi bout thawsaknae lahoi maimouh teh kahring e ngaihawinae dawk thoseh,

to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, preserved in the heavens for us;

who, by the power of God, are guarded through faith, to the salvation prepared to be revealed in the last time.
6 Nangmouh ni atu e atueng dawkvah tanouknae hoi lungmathoenae a cawngca dawngdeng na kâhmo awh ei nakunghai, a lathueng lah ka dei tangcoung e patetlah konawmnae kalenpoung tawn awh.
On account of this, be exceeding glad, though now, for a little while, (since it is needful, ) you are made sorry by divers trials;

that the trying of your faith, (much more precious than of gold, which perishes, though proved by fire, ) may be found to praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

whom, not having seen, you love; on whom, not now looking, but believing, you greatly rejoice, with joy unspeakable and full of glory--
9 Lungthin muitha rungngangnae yuemnae aphu hah a hmu awh.
receiving the consummation of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Nangmouh ni na coe hane lungmanae hoi kâkuen lah ka dei e profetnaw nihai rungngangnae a kong a la tawng awh toe.
Concerning which salvation, the prophets inquired accurately, and searched diligently, who have prophesied concerning the favor bestowed on you;
11 Nangmouh thung kaawm e Khrih e Muitha ni Khrih rektapnae hoi, hote rektapnae hnuklah ka tho hane a bawilennae akong hah sut kampangkhai awh navah, apimaw, hoehpawiteh nâtuek e atueng maw a dei ngai nah tie hah ahnimouh ni a la tawng awh toe.
searching diligently of what things, and what kind of time, the Spirit of Christ, who was in them, did signify, when he testified before the sufferings of Christ, and the glories following these--
12 Hatnavah, ahnimouh ni a sak e hnonaw teh amamouh hanelah tho laipalah, nangmouh hanelah ahnimouh koe a pâpho. Atu hote hnonaw teh kalvan lahoi a patoun e Kathoung Muitha lahoi kamthang kahawi kadeinaw koehoi nangmouh koe bout pâpho e lah ao toe. Kalvantaminaw ni patenghai yah hote hnonaw a hmu hanelah puenghoi a ngai awh.
to whom it was revealed, that, not for themselves, but for us, they ministered these things; which have now been reported to you, by them who have declared the glad tidings to you, with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven: into which things, angels earnestly desire to look attentively.

Wherefore, having the loins of your mind girded, being vigilant, constantly hope for the gift to be brought to you, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts, in your ignorance;
15 nangmouh na kakaw e Bawipa a thoung e patetlah nangmouh hai na hring kho na saknae dawk thoungsak awh.
but as he who has called you is holy, be you also holy;
16 Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai kathoung dawkvah nangmouh haiyah thoungnae tawn awh, telah Cakathoung dawk a dei.
for it is written, "Be you holy, because I am holy."
17 Nangmouh ni tami e minhmai khen laipalah buetbuet touh tangkuem ni a sak e patetlah lawkcengkung hah Apa telah na kaw awh pawiteh het talai imyin lah na o nathung barinae lungthin hoi khosak awh.
And seeing you call on the Father, who, without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work--pass the time of your sojourning here, in fear;
18 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nangmouh ni mintoenaw koehoi na coe e ayawmyin kho na saknae thung hoi na ratangnae teh sui ngun kamko thai e hno hoi nahoeh,
knowing that, not with corruptible things, as silver and gold, you were redeemed from your foolish behavior, delivered to you by your fathers;
19 Yonnae banghai ka tawn hoeh e, khinnae ka tawn hoeh e tuca patetlah e aphu kaawm poung e Khrih thipaling hoi na ratang e titeh panue awh.
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish, and without spot;
20 Bawipa teh talaivan a sak hoehnahlan sut a hmoun tangcoung e lah ao eiteh, atu ahnoungpoung e atueng dawkvah nangmouh hanelah a kamnue toe.
predetermined, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for you;
21 Nangmouh ni Cathut khet laihoi yuemnae, ngaihawinae tawn thai nahanelah hote Bawipa hah Cathut ni duenae koehoi a thaw sak teh bawilennae a poe toe.
who through him, believe in God, who raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Nangmouh teh, lawkkatang ngâi e lahoi, nangmae lungthin muitha hah a thoung a cai sak teh, a katang e hmaunawngha reira lungpatawnae na coe awh dawkvah, kathounge lungthin hoi buet touh hoi buet touh kacaklah lungkâpataw awh.
Wherefore, having purified your souls by obeying the truth, through the Spirit, to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another, from a pure heart, fervently:
23 Nangmouh teh kamko thai e cati hoi tho laipalah, kamko thai hoeh e cati, kahring niteh a yungyoe kangning e Cathut e a lawk hoi a katha lah khe e lah na o awh. (aiōn g165)
having been regenerated, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of the living God, which remains. (aiōn g165)

"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower of it falls down; but the word of the Lord remains forever."
