And they continued three yeere without warre betweene Aram and Israel.
2 A kum pâthumnae dawk Judah siangpahrang Jehoshaphat teh Isarel siangpahrang koevah a cei.
And in the third yeere did Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah come downe to ye King of Israel.
3 Isarel siangpahrang ni a sannaw koevah, Gilead ram e Ramoth teh kaie ti a panue nahlangva, bangkongmaw Siria siangpahrang lawm laipalah o awh han, telah ati.
(Then the King of Israel saide vnto his seruants, Knowe yee not that Ramoth Gilead was ours? and wee stay, and take it not out of ye hand of the King of Aram?)
4 Hatdawkvah, ahni ni Jehoshaphat koevah, Ramothgilead teh na tuk khai ngai han na ou, telah atipouh. Jehoshaphat ni Isarel siangpahrang koevah, kai hoi nang, ka taminaw hoi na taminaw teh buet touh lah o awh teh, kaie marang hoi nange marangnaw hai buet touh doeh telah atipouh.
And he sayde vnto Iehoshaphat, Wilt thou goe with mee to battel against Ramoth Gilead? And Iehoshaphat saide vnto the King of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and mine horses as thine horses.
5 Jehoshaphat ni Isarel siangpahrang koevah, BAWIPA e lawk hah ring ei telah atipouh.
Then Iehoshaphat saide vnto the King of Israel, Aske counsaile, I pray thee, of the Lord to day.
6 Hatdawkvah, Isarel siangpahrang ni profet cumpali tabang a kaw teh, ahnimouh koevah, Ramothgilead tuk hanelah ka cei han maw, ka cet mahoeh maw telah a pacei. Ahnimouh ni cet yawkaw, bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni siangpahrang kut dawk na poe han telah ati awh.
Then the King of Israel gathered the prophets vpon a foure hundreth men, and said vnto them, Shal I go against Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I let it alone? And they said, Go vp: for ye Lord shall deliuer it into the hands of the King.
7 Jehoshaphat ni hivah BAWIPA Cathut e profet buetbuet touh pouknae hei hanelah awm hoeh toung maw, telah ati.
And Iehoshaphat said, Is there here neuer a Prophet of the Lord more, that we might inquire of him?
8 Isarel siangpahrang ni Jehoshaphat koevah, BAWIPA koe na kâhet pout hane tami buet touh Imlah capa Mikaiah tie ao. Hateiteh, ahni teh ka hmuhma e lah ao. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kaie kong dawk a thoenae hloilah hawinae koelah banghai dei hoeh telah atipouh.
And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man (Michaiah the sonne of Imlah) by whom we may aske counsel of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophecie good vnto me, but euill. And Iehoshaphat sayd, Let not the King say so.
9 Hatdawkvah, Isarel siangpahrang ni bawi buet touh a kaw teh, Imlah capa Mikaiah hah karanglah thokhai haw telah atipouh.
Then the King of Israel called an Eunuche, and sayde, Call quickely Michaiah the sonne of Imlah.
10 Isarel siangpahrang hoi Judah siangpahrang Jehoshaphat teh Samaria kalupnae longkha kâennae teng e cangkatinnae yawn dawk, siangpahrang khohna hoi a kamthoup roi teh, a bawitungkhung lengkaleng dawk a tahung roi. Hahoi, profetnaw ni ahnimouh roi e hmalah lawk hah a pâpho awh.
And the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah sate either of them on his throne in their apparell in the voyde place at the entring in of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets prophecied before them.
11 Khenanah e capa Zedekiah ni sumki hah a sak pouh teh, BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei, hete kinaw hoiyah Siria taminaw hah koung kadout lah na deng awh han telah atipouh.
And Zidkiiah the sonne of Chenaanah made him hornes of yron, and sayd, Thus sayth the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Aramites, vntill thou hast consumed them.
12 Hot patetvanlah, profetnaw pueng nihai, Ramothgilead vah luen awh nateh, tâ awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni siangpahrang kut dawk na poe awh han telah a dei pouh awh.
And all the prophets prophecied so, saying, Goe vp to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliuer it into the Kings hand.
13 Mikaih kaw hanlah patoune ni, khenhaw! profetnaw ni kâvan e lawk buet touh hah a kuet awh teh, kahawi e lah dueng siangpahrang koevah, lawk rip a dei awh toe. Ahnimouh ni a dei awh e patetvanlah, nang ni hai dei van leih, kahawi e lah dei van haw telah atipouh.
And the messenger that was gone to call Michaiah spake vnto him, saying, Beholde now, the wordes of the prophets declare good vnto the King with one accorde: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like the worde of one of them, and speake thou good.
14 Mikaiah ni BAWIPA a hring e patetlah BAWIPA ni kai koe a dei e doeh kai ni teh ka dei tih telah atipouh.
And Michaiah saide, As the Lord liueth, whatsoeuer the Lord sayth vnto me, that will I speake.
15 Siangpahrang koe a pha toteh, siangpahrang ni Ramothgilead tuk hanlah ka cei han maw, ka cet mahoeh maw telah a pacei. Ahni ni siangpahrang koevah, cet nateh tâ, bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni siangpahrang kut dawk na poe han telah atipouh.
So he came to the King, and the King said vnto him, Michaiah, shall we go against Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall we leaue off? And he answered him, Goe vp, and prosper: and the Lord shall deliuer it into the hand of the King.
16 Siangpahrang ni lawkkatang laipalah kai oe BAWIPA min lahoi dei hoeh hanlah avai nâyittouh maw lawk na kam sak han, telah ati.
And the King said vnto him, How oft shall I charge thee, that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the Name of the Lord?
17 Ahni ni, Isarelnaw pueng teh khoumkung ka tawn hoeh e tu patetlah mon dawk koung a kâkahei awh e hah ka hmu. BAWIPA ni hete taminaw ni kahrawikung tawn awh hoeh toe. Amae im dawk lengkaleng lungmawngcalah ban awh naseh, telah ati atipouh.
Then he said, I sawe all Israel scattered vpon the mountaines, as sheepe that had no shepheard. And the Lord sayde, These haue no master, let euery man returne vnto his house in peace.
18 Isarel siangpahrang ni Jehoshaphat koevah, kaie kong dawk thoenae hloilah kahawi e koelah banghai dei mahoeh telah yo ka dei toe telah atipouh.
(And the King of Israel saide vnto Iehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee, that he would prophecie no good vnto me, but euill?)
19 Hatdawkvah, Mikaiah ni, BAWIPA e lawk heh thai haw. BAWIPA teh a bawitungkhung dawk kalvan vah a tahung teh kalvantaminaw pueng avoilah aranglah a kangdue e ka hmu.
Againe he said, Heare thou therefore the worde of the Lord. I sawe the Lord sit on his throne, and all the hoste of heauen stood about him on his right hand and on his left hand.
20 Hahoi, BAWIPA ni Ahab heh Ramothgilead vah a luen vaiteh taran kut dawk due hanlah apinimaw a tacuek telah atipouh. Buet touh ni hettelah a dei teh, alouke ni hottelah ati.
And the Lord sayd, Who shall entise Ahab that he may go and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one said on this maner, and another sayd on that maner.
21 Hatdawkvah, muitha buet touh a tâco teh, BAWIPA hmalah a kangdue. Kai ni ka tacuek han telah atipouh.
Then there came forth a spirit, and stoode before the Lord, and sayd, I wil entise him. And the Lord sayd vnto him, Wherewith?
22 BAWIPA ni ahni koevah, bangtelamaw telah atipouh. Ahni ni ka cei vaiteh a profetnaw pueng e pahni dawk laithoe muitha lah ka o han telah atipouh. Hahoi, BAWIPA ni, na tacuek pawiteh na tacuek thai han doeh. Cet nateh hottelah sak telah atipouh.
And he sayd, I will goe out, and be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. Then he sayd, Thou shalt entise him, and shalt also preuayle: goe forth, and doe so.
23 Hatdawkvah, khenhaw! BAWIPA ni hete na profetnaw pueng e a pahni dawk laithoe muitha hah a ta teh, BAWIPA ni nangmouh rawk nahane kong hah a dei toe telah atipouh.
Now therefore behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirite in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath appoynted euill against thee.
24 Hottelah Kenaanah e capa Zedekiah ni rek a hnai teh, Mikaiah e tamboung dawk a tambei. Nang koe lawk dei hanelah BAWIPA ni a patoun e muitha ni na lae lam dawk hoi maw kai koe hoi a cei telah atipouh.
Then Zidkiiah the sonne of Chenaanah came neere, and smote Michaiah on the cheeke and sayd, When went the Spirite of the Lord from me, to speake vnto thee?
25 Mikaiah ni, khenhaw! kâhro hanlah imrakhan thung hoi na kâen hnin vah na panue han telah atipouh.
And Michaiah saide, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt goe from chamber to chamber to hide thee.
26 Hat toteh, Isarel siangpahrang ni, Mikaiah heh khopui kaukkung Ammon e capa Joash koevah cetkhai awh leih.
And the King of Israel sayd, Take Michaiah, and cary him vnto Amon the gouernour of the citie, and vnto Ioash the Kings sonne,
27 Hahoi, hete tami heh thongim pabawt awh nateh, roumnae hoi ka ban hoehroukrak, rawca hoi tui yitca dueng poe awh tet pouh atipouh.
And say, Thus saith the King, Put this man in the prison house, and feede him with bread of affliction, and with water of affliction, vntill I returne in peace.
28 Hateiteh, Mikhaiah ni, karoumcalah na ban awh pawiteh, BAWIPA ni kai hno lahoi lawk dei hoeh tinae lah ao han telah atipouh. Ama ni, nangmanaw pueng ni kahawicalah pâkuem awh telah letlang ati.
And Michaiah sayde, If thou returne in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he sayd, Hearken all ye people.
29 Hottelah Isarel siangpahrang hoi Judah siangpahrang Jehoshaphat teh Ramothgilead vah a takhang roi.
So the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah went vp to Ramoth Gilead.
30 Isarel siangpahrang ni Jehoshaphat koevah, ka mei kâthung vaiteh, tarantuknae koe ka cei van han. Nang teh siangpahrang khohna hah kho telah atipouh. Hatdawkvah, Isarel siangpahrang teh a mei a kâthung teh tarantuknae koe a cei.
And the King of Israel sayde to Iehoshaphat, I will change mine apparell, and will enter into the battell, but put thou on thine apparell. And the King of Israel changed himselfe, and went into the battel.
31 Siria siangpahrang ni leng kâcuinaw 32 touh koevah, Isarel siangpahrang laipalah, tami kathoeng kalen apihai tuk awh hanh telah kâ a poe.
And the King of Aram commanded his two and thirtie captaines ouer his charets, saying, Fight neither with small, nor great, saue onely against the King of Israel.
32 Leng kaukkungnaw ni Jehoshaphat a hmu awh toteh, hetteh Isarel siangpahrang roeroe doeh, telah ati awh. Hatdawkvah, ahni tuk hanelah a kamlang awh dawkvah, Jehoshaphat teh a hram.
And when the captaines of the charets saw Iehoshaphat, they sayd, Surely it is the King of Israel, and they turned to fight against him: and Iehoshaphat cryed.
33 Hateiteh, leng kâcuinaw ni Isarel siangpahrang nahoeh tie a panue awh toteh, ahni pâleinae koehoi a ban takhai awh.
And when the captaines of the charets saw that he was not the King of Israel, they turned backe from him.
34 Tami buet touh ni noe laipalah, samtang a pathui boteh, Isarel siangpahrang e saiphei rahak vah pala teh a kâen dawkvah, ahni ni leng ka mawng koevah, kamlang nateh, tarankâtuknae hmuen koehoi na tâcawtkhai leih. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a hmâ ka ca toe telah atipouh.
Then a certaine man drewe a bow mightily and smote the King of Israel betweene the ioyntes of his brigandine. Wherefore he sayde vnto his charet man, Turne thine hand and cary me out of the hoste: for I am hurt.
35 Hote hnin dawk tarantuknae teh a patawpoung teh siangpahrang teh a leng van vah Sirianaw e hmuen dawk a kangdue sak awh teh, tangmin lah a due. A hmâ dawk hoi leng van vah a thi teh a kui.
And the battel encreased that day, and the King stoode still in his charet against the Aramites, and dyed at euen: and the blood ran out of the wound into the middes of the charet.
36 Kanî aloum tawmlei nah ransanaw thung dawk hoi tami pueng amae kho tangkuem dawk, tami pueng mae ram lah koung ban awh naseh telah thouk a oung awh.
And there went a proclamation thorowout the hoste about the going downe of the sunne, saying, Euery man to his citie, and euery man to his owne countrey.
37 Siangpahrang teh hottelah a due. Samaria vah a kâenkhai awh teh, hawvah siangpahrang teh a pakawp awh.
So the King died, and was brought to Samaria, and they buried the King in Samaria.
38 Samaria tuikamuem rai lah leng hah a pâsu awh teh, BAWIPA ni a dei e lawk patetlah kâyawtnaw tui kamhluknae koe uinaw ni a thi hah a palem.
And one washed the charet in the poole of Samaria, and the dogs licked vp his blood (and they washed his armour) according vnto the word of the Lord which he spake.
39 Hottelah Ahab kâroenae thung dawk hoi kacawiraenaw hoi a sak e naw pueng hoi kasaino hoi a sak e im hoi a sak e khonaw pueng hah Isarel siangpahrangnaw setouknae cauk dawk thut lah awm hoehnamaw.
Concerning the rest of the actes of Ahab and all that he did, and the yuorie house which he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
40 Hottelah, Ahab teh a na mintoenaw koevah, a i teh a capa Ahaziah ni a yueng lah a bawi
So Ahab slept with his fathers, and Ahaziah his sonne reigned in his stead.
41 Hahoi Isarel siangpahrang Ahab a bawinae a kum pali nah Asa capa Jehoshaphat teh Judah taminaw lathueng vah siangpahrang lah ao.
And Iehoshaphat the sonne of Asa began to reigne vpon Iudah in the fourth yeere of Ahab King of Israel.
42 Jehoshaphat teh siangpahrang lah a tawk nah a kum 35 touh a pha. Jerusalem kho vah, a kum 25 touh a uk. A manu min teh Azubah, ahni teh Shilhi canu doeh.
Iehoshaphat was fiue and thirty yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned fiue and twentie yeere in Ierusalem. And his mothers name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
43 A na pa Asa ni a dawn e lamthung pueng hah a dawn van teh, phen laipalah, BAWIPA e mithmu vah hnokahawi a sak. Hateiteh, hmuenrasang teh puen awh hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, hmuenrasang dawk taminaw ni a thueng awh teh, hmuitui hah hmai a sawi awh rah.
And he walked in all the wayes of Asa his father, and declined not therefrom, but did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord. Neuerthelesse the hie places were not taken away: for the people offred still and burnt incense in the hie places.
44 Hahoi Jehoshaphat ni Isarel siangpahrang hoi roumnae a sak.
And Iehoshaphat made peace with the King of Israel.
45 Hottelah, Jehoshaphat kâroenae thung dawk hoi kacawirae hnonaw hoi a hno sakthainae a kamnue saknae hoi taran a tuknae kongnaw hah Judah siangpahrangnaw setouknae cauk dawk thut lah awm hoehnamaw.
Concerning the rest of the actes of Iehoshaphat, and his worthy deedes that he did, and his battels which he fought, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

And the Sodomites, which remayned in the dayes of his father Asa, he put cleane out of the land.

There was then no King in Edom: the deputie was King.
48 Jehoshaphat ni Ophir ram dawk a patoun teh, sui phu hanelah Tarshish long hah a sak. Hateiteh, cet awh hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Eziongeber vah long hah a rawk.
Iehoshaphat made shippes of Tharshish to sayle to Ophir for golde, but they went not, for the shippes were broken at Ezion Gaber.
49 Ahab capa Ahaziah ni Jehoshaphat koevah, ka taminaw heh na taminaw hoi long dawk hoi rei cet awh naseh telah ati. Hatei Jehoshaphat ni ngai hoeh.
Then sayde Ahaziah the sonne of Ahab vnto Iehoshaphat, Let my seruants goe with thy seruants in the ships, But Iehoshaphat would not.
50 Jehoshaphat teh a na mintoenaw koe a i teh a na mintoenaw koe, a na min Devit e khopui dawk a pakawp awh. Hahoi a capa Jehoram ni a yueng lah a uk.
And Iehoshaphat did sleepe with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Iehoram his sonne reigned in his stead.
51 Judah siangpahrang Jehoshaphat siangpahrang a tawknae kum 17 navah, Ahab capa Ahaziah teh Samaria khovah, Isarelnaw e siangpahrang lah ao. Isarel hah kum 2 touh a uk.
Ahaziah the sonne of Ahab began to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, the seuenteenth yeere of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, and reigned two yeeres ouer Israel.
52 BAWIPA hmaitung vah thoenae a sak teh, a manu hoi a na pa ni dawn e lamthung hoi Nebat capa Jeroboam, Isarelnaw ka yonsakkung ni dawn e lamthung hai a dawn.
But he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
53 Bangkongtetpawiteh, a na pa ni a sak e pueng a sak teh, Baal e thaw hah a tawk teh, a bawk dawkvah, Isarel BAWIPA Cathut a lungkhuek sak.
For he serued Baal and worshipped him, and prouoked the Lord God of Israel vnto wrath, according vnto all that his father had done.
