1 Bawipa e lawk Baasha ka taran e Hanani capa Jehu koe ka phat e teh,
And the word of Jehovah came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
2 nang teh vaiphu dawk hoi na tawm teh, ka tami Isarel miphun na uk sak hanelah, na tawmrasang eiteh, nang ni Jeroboam e lamthung na dawn. Isarelnaw na payon sak teh, kai lungkhuek hanelah na sak dawkvah,
Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins;
3 nange miphun ca catounnaw koung ka raphoe vaiteh, nange imthung Nebat capa Jeroboam e a imthung patetlah kai ni ka o sak han.
behold, I will take away Baasha and his house, and will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
4 Baasha imthung teh khopui thung dout pawiteh, a ro hah uinaw ni a ca han. Khopui lawilah dout pawiteh, kalvan e tavanaw ni a ca han telah ati.
Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat, and him that dieth of his in the field shall the fowl of the heavens eat.
5 Baasha ni a tawksak e pueng teh Isarel siangpahrangnaw e setouknae cauk dawk thut e lah ao nahoehmaw.
And the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
6 Baasha teh a na mintoenaw koe a i teh, Tirzah kho a pakawp awh. Hahoi a capa Elah ni a yueng lah a uk.
And Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.
7 Baasha teh Jeroboam imthung hoi a kâvan teh, BAWIPA hmaitung a sakpayon e naw hoi a lungkhuek sak hanelah kut hoi a sak e hoi ahnimouh a theinae lahoi Baasha hoi a imthung kong dawk BAWIPA e lawk hai Hanani capa profet Jehu hno lahoi a pha.
And also through the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani the word of Jehovah came against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of Jehovah, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he had smitten him.
8 Judah siangpahrang Asa a bawinae kum 26 nae dawk, Baasha capa Elah ni Tirzah kho hoi Isarel ram kum 2 touh a uk.
In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.
9 A san Zimri, rangleng tangawn kahrawikung ni, Tirzah e imthungkhu kahrawikung Arza im vah, yamu a nei teh, a parui lahun nah, ahni taranlahoi a thei.
And his servant Zimri, captain of half [his] chariots, conspired against him; and he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was the steward of his house in Tirzah;
10 Judah siangpahrang a bawinaw kum 27 nae dawk Zimri ni a kâen teh a hem teh a thei, ahnie yueng lah let a bawi.
and Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned in his stead.
11 Uk a kamtawng teh, a bawitungkhung dawk a tahung tahma, Baasha imthung pueng koung a thei. A hmaunawngha hoi a huikonaw thung dawk hoi a na pa capa buet touh hai pâhlung hoeh.
And it came to pass when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not a male, neither of his kinsmen nor of his friends.
12 Hottelah BAWIPA ni profet Jehu hno lahoi Baasha koelah lawk a dei e patetlah Zimri ni Baasha imthungnaw be a thei.
And Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spoke against Baasha through Jehu the prophet,
13 Bangkongtetpawiteh, hottelah Baasha a yonae pueng hoi a capa Elah e yonnae pueng amamouh ni a sak e hoi Isarelnaw a payon sak e hoi, Isarel BAWIPA a lungkhuek sak dawk doeh.
for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and wherewith they made Israel to sin, provoking Jehovah the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
14 Elah a tawksaknae dawk hoi ka cawi rae hoi a sak e pueng Isarel siangpahrangnaw setouknae cauk dawk thut lah ao nahoehmaw.
And the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
15 Judah siangpahrang Asa a bawinae kum 27 nae dawk Zimri teh Tirzah kho dawk hnin 7 touh a bawi.
In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which [belonged] to the Philistines.
16 Zimri ni a kâcoun awh teh, siangpahrang ka thei telah Filistin ram Gibbethon kho e a hmalah katungpupnaw ni a thai nah, hote hnin dawkvah kacue e Omri hah Isarel siangpahrang lah a tungpupnae hmuen koe a tawmrasang awh.
And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also smitten the king; and all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.
17 Omri teh Isarelnaw hoi Gibbethon kho hoi a tâco awh teh, Tirzah kho hah a kalup awh.
And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
18 Zimri ni kho a la toe tie a panue tahma vah, siangpahrang im a kâen teh, siangpahrang im vah hmai hoi a kâsawi teh a due.
And it came to pass when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the citadel of the king's house, and burned the king's house over him with fire;
19 Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA e hmaitung vah kahawi hoeh e sak payonnae hoi Isarel yonnae a sak hanelah ka sak e Jeroboam ni a dawn e lamthung a dawn awh.
and he died for his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of Jehovah, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, making Israel to sin.
20 Zimri a tawksaknae dawk hoi ka cawi rae naw hoi youknae taran hai Isarel siangpahrangnaw setouknae cauk dawk thut lah ao nahoehmaw.
And the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his conspiracy which he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
21 Hatnae tueng dawk Isarelnaw phu hni touh lah a kâkapek awh. A tangawn ni Ginath capa Tibni hah siangpahrang lah o sak hane a ngai awh teh a hnuk a kâbang awh. A tangawn ni Omri hnuk a kâbang awh.
Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.
22 Hatei, Omri e hnuk ka kâbangnaw ni Ginath capa Tibni hnuk ka kâbangnaw a tâ awh. Tibni a due teh Omri ni a uk.
But the people that followed Omri overcame the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath; and Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
23 Judah siangpahrang Asa a bawinae kum 31 nah Omri ni Isarel hah uknae a kamtawng teh, kum 12 touh a uk. Tirzah kho dawk kum 6 touh a uk.
In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel, — twelve years; he reigned six years in Tirzah.
24 Samaria mon buet touh hah Shemer koe tangka 20 touh hoi a ran. Hottelah hoi mon dawkvah, kho a kangdue sak. A kangdue sak e khopui teh mon katawnkung Shemer min lahoi Samaria teh a phung.
And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and built on the hill, and called the name of the city that he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.
25 Omri ni BAWIPA e hmaitung vah kahawihoehe ouk a sak. Ha hoehnahlan e taminaw hlak kahawihoeh hno a sak e a paphnawn.
And Omri wrought evil in the sight of Jehovah, and did worse than all that were before him.
26 Nebat capa Jeroboam e lamthungnaw a dawn awh teh, meikaphawk ni Isarel BAWIPA a lungkhuek sak hanelah Isarel ka payonsakkung yonnae hah a sak.
And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin, provoking Jehovah the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
27 Omri ni a tawksak e dawk hoi kacawirae hoi a thasainae a kamnue sak e naw hah Isarel siangpahrangnaw setouknae cauk dawk thut e lah ao nahoehmaw.
And the rest of the acts of Omri, what he did, and his might which he shewed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
28 Omri teh a na mintoenaw koe a i teh, a capa Ahab ni a yueng lah a bawi.
And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.
29 Judah siangpahrang Asa, a bawinae kum 38 nah Omri capa Ahab ni Isarelnaw hah uknae a kamtawng. Omri capa Ahab ni Isarelnaw hah Samaria kho dawk hoi kum 22 touh a uk.
And Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel in the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
30 Omri capa Ahab ni ama hoehnahlan tami pueng hlak BAWIPA e hmaitung kahawihoehe hno a sak.
And Ahab the son of Omri wrought evil in the sight of Jehovah more than all that were before him.
31 Nebat capa Jeroboam yonnae lamthung dawn e hah ahni hanelah yonnae ka phouhoucalah a pouk teh, Sidon siangpahrang Ethbaal canu Jezebel hah a yu lah a paluen teh Baal cathut hah a bawk.
And it came to pass, as if it was a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshipped him.
32 Samaria kho dawk Baal cathut e bawkim dawk Baal cathut hanelah khoungroe a sak.
And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria.
33 Ahab ni thing meikaphawk hah a sak teh, ahni hoehnahlan e Isarelnaw hlak Ahab ni BAWIPA Isarelnaw e Cathut lungkhuek saknae hno lah hoe kapap lah a sak.
And Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did more to provoke Jehovah the God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
34 Ahab se nah Bethel kho e tami Hiel ni Jeriko kho a thawng. BAWIPA ni Nun capa Joshua hno lahoi a dei tangcoung e patetlah a camin Abiram se nah kho rapan adu a ung teh, a ca cahnoung Segub se nah kho longkhanaw hah a kangdue sak.
In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundation in Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates in Segub his youngest, according to the word of Jehovah which he spoke through Joshua the son of Nun.
