< 1 Kawrin 12 >
1 Hmaunawnghanaw, Muitha poehnonaw panue sak hane na ngaikhai awh.
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not wish you to be ignorant.
You know that when you were heathen you went astray after dumb idols, wherever he be led.
3 Hatdawkvah, apihai Cathut e Muitha lahoi Jisuh teh thoebo lah awmseh tet mahoeh. Hot patetvanlah apinihai Kathoung Muitha laipateh, Jisuh teh Bawi doeh tet thai mahoeh.
Wherefore I want you to understand that no one who speaks in the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except in the Holy Spirit.
4 Poehnonaw alouklouk ao ei, Muitha teh buet touh doeh.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
5 Thaw tawknae alouklouk ei, Bawipa teh buet touh doeh.
there are various forms of service, and the same Lord;
6 Hnosaknae alouklouk ei, Cathut ni doeh tami pueng dawk thaw a tawk.
and varieties of work, and the same God, who works in all.
7 Hatei, tami kapap hawi nahanelah, Kathoung Muitha hah tami tangkuem koe kamcengcalah a poe.
Now to each man has been given his manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
8 Tami buet touh koe Kathoung Muitha lahoi lungangnae lawk a poe. Hote Muitha ni alouke tami buet touh koe pheng nout thainae a poe.
For to one man by the Spirit has been given a word of wisdom, to another a word of insight by the same Spirit;
9 Hote Muitha lahoi alouke tami buet touh koe yuemnae a poe. Hote Muitha lahoi alouke tami buet touh koe patawnae roum sakthainae poehno a poe.
to one man by the same Spirit is given faith, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit;
10 Alouke tami buet touh koe kângairuhno sakthainae a poe. Alouke tami buet touh koe sutdeilawk, alouke tami buet touh koe muithanaw kapek teh panuethainae a poe. Alouke tami buet touh koe alouk lawkpanthainae, alouke tami buet touh koe hote alouk lawk tâhlat thainae a poe.
to another the powers which work miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 Hetnaw pueng Kathoung Muitha buet touh dueng e a thaw tawknae lah ao. Ama ni a ngai e patetlah hote thaw hah tami buetbuet tangkuem koe a rei teh a poe.
But the one and the same Spirit gives power to all, distributing his gifts to each as he wills.
12 Hatdawkvah, tak buet touh dueng ei, puengcang moikapap ao. Puengcang moikapap e ni tak buet touh lah ao sak e patetlah Khrih hai ao.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, although they be many, are one body; so also is Christ.
13 Bangkongtetpawiteh, maimouh pueng heh Muitha buet touh ni doeh tak buet touh thung Baptisma na poe awh. Judah hai Jentel hai san hai ka hlout e hai, maimouh pueng teh Muitha buet touh doeh nei awh.
And we can see this, for in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jew or Gentile, whether slave or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14 Tak teh puengcang buet touh dueng kaawm e nahoeh, moikapap ao.
For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot should say, "Because I am a hand, I am not part a part the body," would it not indeed be a part of the body?
Or if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," would it be any less a part of the body?
17 Tak heh mit lah koung awm pawiteh, bang ni maw lawk a thai han. Tak heh hnâ lah koung awm pawiteh, bang ni ne a hmui a pahnuep han.
If the whole body were an eye, where were hearing? If all were hearing, where were smelling?
18 Hatei, Cathut ni tak dawk e a puengcangnaw hah ama ni a ngainae hmuen koe koung a hruek.
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body as it has pleased him.
19 Tak e a puengcangnaw buet touh lah koung awm pawiteh, tak teh nâne ao han toung.
If all were one member, where would the body be?
20 Hatdawkvah, puengcang moiapap ei, tak buet touh doeh.
But now there are many members, but one body.
And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you". nor again of head to the feet, "I have no need for you."
22 Hothloilah, tha hoe ka youn e puengcangnaw hah, hoe panki e puengcang lah ao.
On the contrary, we need those members of the body which seem to be weaker;
23 Hahoi, barinae kaawm hoeh e puengcangnaw hah kalenhnawn e barinae a coe awh.
upon those parts of the body which we esteem less honorable, we bestow more abundant honor, and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 Ka talue tangcoung e naw ni teh alouke barinae hah ngai awh hoeh toe.
For whereas our comely parts have no need, God has tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that member in which lacked;
25 Tak dawk kâkapeknae awm laipalah, puengcang buet touh hoi buet touh sue touh lah a pouk thai awh nahan telah a sak.
that there should be no disunion in the body, but that members mutual care for one another.
26 Tak dawk e a puengcang buet touh runae kâhmo pawiteh, alouknaw ni hai runae a khangkhai van, puengcang buet touh bari pawiteh alouknaw pueng ni a konawm khai van awh.
When one member suffers, all the others suffer with it; and when one member is honored, all the members are glad with it.
Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
28 Kawhmoun thungvah Cathut ni gunceinaw apasuek a kaw. Apâhni lah profetnaw, apâthum lah kacangkhainaw, hathnukkhu kângairuhno kasakthainaw, hahoi teh patawnae ka roum sakthainaw, kabawmthainaw, ukthainaw, alouk lawk kapekthainaw hah a poe.
And God has appointed those in the church to be first of all apostles, second, prophets, third, teachers. then workers of miracles, healers, helpers, administrators, users of various kinds of "tongues."
29 Abuemlahoi guncei lah koung ao maw, kaawm e pueng ni profet lah be o a maw. Maimouh pueng teh kacangkhaikung lah be o a maw. Maimouh pueng teh kângairuhno koung sak thai a maw.
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? teachers? workers of miracles?
30 Maimouh pueng ni patawnae roum sakthainae poehno koung tawn a maw. Maimouh pueng ni alouke lawk be pan thai a maw. Maimouh pueng ni alouke lawk be tâhlat thai a maw.
Have all gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
Desire earnestly the greater gifts. And yet I will go on to show you a still more excellent way.
