And it comes to pass after this, that David strikes the Philistines, and humbles them, and takes Gath and its small towns out of the hand of the Philistines;
2 Moabnaw bout a tuk teh, Moabnaw teh Devit e san lah ao awh teh, tamuk ouk a poe awh.
and he strikes Moab, and the Moabites are servants to David, bringing a present.
3 Euphrates palang teng e a uknae caksak hanelah, a cei nah Devit ni Zobah siangpahrang Hadadezer hai Hamath totouh a tâ.
And David strikes Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, in his going to establish his power by the Euphrates River,
4 Devit ni rangleng 1, 000 hoi marangransanaw 7, 000, hoi ransa 20, 000 hah ahni koe e la a poe. Devit ni leng la sawn e marangnaw pueng hah be a raphoe pouh teh leng ka sawn e 100 touh dueng a pâhlung pouh.
and David captures from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David utterly destroys all the chariots, and leaves of them [only] one hundred chariots.
5 Damaskas, Assirianaw hah Zobah siangpahrang Hadadezer ka bawm hanelah a tho awh navah, Devit ni Sirianaw 22, 000 a thei.
And Aram of Damascus comes to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David strikes twenty-two thousand men in Aram,

and David puts [garrisons] in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans are for servants to David, carrying a present, and YHWH gives salvation to David wherever he has gone.
7 Devit ni Hadadezernaw e sui saipheinaw a la pouh teh, Jerusalem vah a ceikhai.
And David takes the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and brings them to Jerusalem;
8 Hadadezer khopui dawk e Tibhath kho hoi Kun kho dawk hoi, rahum moikapap a thokhai. Hote rahum hoi Solomon ni rahum tuiim, rahum khom, rahum puengcang aphunphun lah a sak.
and from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, David has taken very much bronze; with it Solomon has made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 Hamath siangpahrang Toi ni Zobah siangpahrang, Hadadezer, ransanaw pueng Devit ni a tâ tie hah a thai awh torei teh,
And Tou king of Hamath hears that David has struck the whole force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 Hadadezer hah a tuk teh a tâ dawkvah, kut man hanelah lunghawikhai hanelah, a capa Hadoram teh Devit koe a patoun. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Hadadezer ni Toi hah a tuk. Hahoi suingun rahum, hlaamnaw phunkuep hah a hni koe a patawn.
and he sends his son Hadoram to King David, to ask of him of peace, and to bless him, because that he has fought against Hadarezer and strikes him (for Hadarezer had been a man of wars with Tou); and [with him were] all kinds of vessels, of gold, and silver, and bronze;
11 Hote hnonaw hoi miphunnaw pueng Edom, moab, Ammon, Filistin hoi Amaleknaw koe e sui ngun a la e naw hoi Devit ni BAWIPA koe a pathung.
King David has also sanctified them to YHWH with the silver and the gold that he has taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Hothloilah, Zeruiah capa Abishai ni Edomnaw 18, 000 touh hah palawi tanghling dawk a thei awh.
And Abishai son of Zeruiah has struck Edom in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand,
13 Edom hai ransa a ta teh, Edomnaw pueng teh Devit ni tamuk a cawngnae kho lah ao awh. BAWIPA ni Devit teh a ceinae tangkuem koe tânae a poe.
and he puts garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites are servants to David; and YHWH saves David wherever he has gone.
14 Hottelah Devit ni Isarelnaw a uk teh, a taminaw dawkvah, kalancalah lawk a ceng.
And David reigns over all Israel, and he is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,
15 Zeruiah capa Joab teh ransahu ka hrawi e bawi lah ao. Ahilud e capa Jehoshaphat teh kamthang kathutkung lah ao.
and Joab son of Zeruiah [is] over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer,
16 Ahilud capa Zadok hoi Abiathar capa Abimelek teh vaihma lah ao awh teh, Shavsha teh cakathutkung lah ao.
and Zadok son of Ahitub and Abimelech son of Abiathar [are] priests, and Shavsha [is] scribe,
17 Jehoiada capa Benaiah teh Kerethnaw hoi Pheletnaw kahrawikung lah ao teh, Devit capanaw teh, siangpahrang thaw dawk kho kakhangkungnaw lah ao awh.
and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the chief sons of David [are] at the hand of the king.
