Zechariah 8

1 Hiche jou chun hatchungnung Pakaija kon in thupeh khat ahung kitnin hitin ati,

And the word of the LORD of hosts came [to me], saying,

2 Hatchungnung Pakaiyin hitin aseije, Zion kangailut nahi agil lheh jeng in ahi, Jerusalem ka ngailut nahin eival-lhum jeng in ahi.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great fury.

3 Tun Pakaiyin hitin aseije, keima Zion ah kahung kilekit tai chuleh keima Jerusalema kachen ding ahi, chuteng leh Jerusalem khopi chu kitahna khopi kiti ding ahi, hatchungnung Pakai molchu moltheng kiti ding ahi.

Thus saith the LORD: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts The holy mountain.

4 Hichehi hatchungnung pen Pakaiyin hitin aseije, tesepu le tehsepi ho Jerusalem lam lhongpia hi mol akiphouva vahlediu khopi ningkoija toukhom diu ahi.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

5 Khopi lamlhongpia chu pasal chapang holeh numei chapang ho akichemma dimset diu ahi.

And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

6 Hichehi hatchungnung pen Pakaiyin aseije tutahin hitiho chu Pathen mite hon lhom chalah-a hin hithei dingin gel ahahsai ahinla hatchungnungpen Pakai dinga ipi ahahsa um ding ham? tin hatchungnung Pakaiyin aseije.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: If it be marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.

7 Hichehi hatchungnung Pakaiyin asei ahi, veovin keiman kamite solamma konle lhumlama konna ka huhdoh ding ahi.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country:

8 Keiman ainnu Jerusalema lungmong sella kachensah diu ahi. Amahohi kamiteu hiding, chuleh keimahi a Pathenu kahiding thudih tahle kitahna neitah a achung'uva kavaihom ding ahi.

and I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

9 Thaneipen Pakaiyin hitin aseije, hat inlang na natoh hi tongchai in, hatchungnungpen Pakaiyin aseije, hiche Hou-in hi aleibul akigonna pat in themgao hon in asah chai diu daan ana seisau ahitai.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.

10 Hou-in natoh ahung kipat tilchun natongho thaman ding leh gancha thaman peh ding sum ana umpon, jetle veija galmi ana umjeh in chele vale jong tijat anauma, ajehchu keiman mitinchu kana kidouto sahin ahi.

For before those days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the adversary: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

11 Tunvang kamite amoh chengse chu tumasanga kabol lou ding ahitai tin hatchungnungpen Pakaiyin aseijin ahi.

But now I will not be unto the remnant of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 Ajehchu keiman nangho lah a chamdella phattheina muchi kitu tan ahi. Lengpithei hung gaphat in leiset in anche louhing hin sepdoh intin chuleh vanna konin daitwi hungneng ding ahitai. Hitichun keiman Judah le Israel amoh chengse chu phatthei bohna gou kalosah ding ahi.

For [there shall be] the seed of peace; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.

13 Namdang laha Judah le Israel chu sapset changmi kana hisah ahi. Ahinla hichu hita lou ding, tuahi keiman nanghohi kahuhdoh a phatthei konna nam mite kahisah diu ahi. Hijeh chun kicha hih in, hat in lang Hou-in sahphat kitna natohchu pantan.

And it shall come to pass that, as ye were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, [but] let your hands be strong.

14 Ajeh chu hiche hi hatchungnung Pakaiyin asei ahi. Napu napateu vin eina phin lunghang jeh in nangho chu kana engbol nahiuve.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts: As I thought to do evil unto you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not;

15 Tunvang Judah mipite leh Jerusalem phattheiboh dinga gel lhuhna kanei ahitai. Hijeh chun kicha hih in,

so again have I thought in these days to do good unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

16 Ahinla nangin hichehi na bol tei ding ahi. Khat le khat thutah kiseipeh touvin, chamna umdoh theina dingin thudih in thutan-un.

These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth with his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

17 Lunggel dihlouvin kichangto hih-un, thutah'a na kihahsel na petchah in lang jouleh nal seija na kipehna su tang jong in,

and let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

18 Hiche ahin hatchungnung Pakaija kon thupeh khat ahung lhung kitne,

And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,

19 Hichehi hatchungnung Pakaija konna thupeh ahi. Lhali lhinna a na an-ngolna lha-nga channa a na-angolna a, lhasagi lhinna a na an-ngolna chuleh lhasom lhinna a na an-ngolna hochu Juda mipite dinga thanop nale kipana chuleh haldohna an-ngol hihen. Hijehchun thutahle chamna chu kolchah un,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: The fast of the fourth [month], and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace.

20 Hichehi hatchungnung Pathen in aseije, vannoi leiset khopia kon in chitin namtin mipite Jerusalema hung vahlut diu ahi.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: [It shall yet come to pass], that there shall come peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21 Khopi khatna mite chun khopi khatna mite kom ah hungun Pakai phattheiboh thumdingin Jerusalema cheute atidiu ahi. Hatchungnung Pakai hou ding in cheute ati diu ahi keivang kakipattai, ati.

and the inhabitants of one [city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favour of the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

22 Mitamtah leh thaneitah nam miteho chu Jerusalema hung uvintin hatching nung Pakai phatthei bohna ahung thumdiu ahi.

Yea, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favour of the LORD.

23 Hatchungnung Pakaiyin hitin aseije, Hiche nikho teng chuleh vannoi leiset a chitin namtin pao tintang a kon in michom chom somlekhat chengin hung uvintin Judah mikhat ponmang tuh uvintin, lungset tah in neikilhon piuvin ajehchu nangho hi Pathen nin na umpi uve tin kaja uve ati ding’u ahi.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts: In those days [it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
