< Zechariah 4 >

1 Hijou chun kakihoupi Vantil chu ahung kile kitin a-ihmu bangin eihin sukhangin ahi.
And the angel that spoke with me came back again, and waked me up, as a man that is wakened up out of his sleep;
2 Tuahi ipi namum tin eidong in ahi, keiman ka donbut nin, sanna ngenna kisem thaomei tunna achunga thaotwi khonkhat akitun kamui kati. Hiche khon vella chun thaomei sagi aum in khat cheh chun avahna patjang khat neicheh ahom sagi aummin ahi.
And he said unto me, What art thou seeing? And I said, I have looked, and behold, there is a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon its top, and its seven lamps are thereupon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon its top:
3 Chuleh keiman hiche khon langte achun Olive thing ni kamun ahi.
And two olive-trees are by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 Hijou chun keiman Vantil chu ka dong in Pakai hiche hohi ipi tina ham? katin ahileh,
And I commenced and said unto the angel that spoke with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Vantil chun na hetlou ham tin eidong in ahileh keiman ka hepoi ka Pakai katin ahi.
Then the angel that spoke with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Hijou chun aman ei seipeh in, “Hiche hi Pakaiyin Zerubbabel komma asei chu ahi, hunamma natoh naleh thahat vanga hilou ding amavang keima Lhagao vanga hiding ahibouve, tin thaneipen Pakaiyin aseijin ahi.
Then answered he and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Imachan nang jou lou ding, mol sangpen jeng in jong Zerubbabel lampi chu asuh tang jou lou ding ama masanga chu phaicham sohjeng ding ahi. Zerubbabel hin houin semphatna a achaina song asettoh phattengleh, mipihon Pathen in phattheiboh hen, Pathen in phattheiboh hen!” tia asapdiu ahi.
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou wilt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone with shoutings of, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Hijeh chun Pakaija kon nin thupeh chomkhat ahung lhung kit-in,
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 Zerubbabal hi Hou-in aleibul ana tungdoh a chu ahin, aman asahchai ding ahi. Hiteng chuleh hatchungnung Pakai chun eihin sol ahi ti na het diu ahi.
The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands shall complete it: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10 Natoh ahina ding banga amachal lou jeh in alungthoi’un ahi, ahinla Zerubbabel hin houin asah chu atoh jom amuteng uleh kipah tauvinte. Thaomei sagi kiti hin Pakai mit-in vannoi leiset pumpi akholsoh vetsahna ahi.
For whoever even despised the day of [its] small beginning: yet will they rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel, with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which hold a survey through all the earth.
11 Hijou chun keiman vantil chu ka dong in, hiche thaomei khom pang tenia Olive thingphung nihi ipi tina hintem,
And I began, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candle-stick and upon its left?
12 Thaotwi kisun lhah naji sana luong teni komma Olive thingbah teni khun ipi asatsat hin tem? kati.
And I began a second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are close by the two golden pipes which empty out of themselves the gold-colored oil?
13 Aman eidong in na hetlou ham eiti. Keiman ka donbut in ka hepoi Pakai kati.
And he said to me as followeth, Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Hichun aman, “Hiche hin thao kinusa leiset pumpi Pakai laltouna komma ding jing van mi teni chu avetsah ahi”ati.
Then said he, These are the two sons of the clear oil, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
