That the aged men be sober minded, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober minded, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing integrity, gravity, sincerity,
8 Thutah chu hilin, chutileh nathuhil chu adem thei lou dingu ahi. Chuteng eiho dem'a pang hochu jahchauva chule ichunguva seiding ima aneilou dingu ahi.
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say concerning you.
9 Sohho chun apakaihou thuphat jousea angai jing dingu chule ajochan uva alunglhaisah diu ahi. Amahon nelkal dauhen,
Exhort servants to be obedient to their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10 ahilouleh guhchat bol dauhen, amavang imalam jouseah ginchat theile apha ahinau vetsah uhen. Chuteng eihuhhing uva Pathen chungchang a kithuhilna chu dei umtah asodoh dingu ahi.
Not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Ajehchu Pathen mihepina hung kilah-a mijouse huhhing na chu ahinlhut ahitai.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (aiōn g165)

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Aman chonsetna jousea kon eisoptheng diu, i-onthol nadiu, chule ama mitea eisem uva napha tong dinga apumpia kiphaltheng ihina ding uva ahinkho manbeiya eipeh u ahi.
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself his own special people, zealous of good works.
15 Nangman hichengse hi nahil'a chule tahsan chate chun abol diuva natilkhou ding ahi. Angaikhoh dungjuiya nangman amaho suhdih na tha nanei ahi, hijeh chun koimacha nathusei nahsahmo bolsah hihhel in.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
