< Solomon Labu 8 >
1 Mounu: Kasopi pasal, kanu noitwija kivahdohpa chu ana hile chun ka titave! Chutileh hoikom hihen, koiyin eihin ve jongleh nahin chop jing thei ing kating, koiman jong ei seise thei ponte.
O that thou [wert] as my brother, that was nourished at the breasts of my mother! [when] I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yes, I should not be despised.
2 Chuteng neolaija ka chennau in ah napui ing-katin, kideije ki kihil tante. Hichea chun muinam thet lengpitwi na donsah ingting, ka kolbuthei jutwi lhum jet chu ka donsah ding nahi.
I would lead thee, [and] bring thee into my mother's house, [who] would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
3 Naban veilang ka lukhap hintin, naban jet lang in eikoi tante.
His left hand [should be] under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 Vo Jerusalem chanute, kijoldeina kiti hi aphat didol tah alhin kahsea nanghon kaithoulou ding in kitem uvin.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not, nor awake [my] love, until he please.
5 Zailom: Gamthip’a kon hungpheija, agoldei chunga kingailha khu koi hija? Ka hin thoukhang tai hiche theithup phungnoi, na chunnun nahin pensahna, sonat na hin thohpi na mun’a chun.
Who [is] this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple-tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth [that] bore thee.
6 Mounu: Na-anglaija Mohor (Namdet melchih) kinam bang in neikoi jin, ajeh chu ngailutna hi thina toh kibanga thahattah ahin, kideina-a kon kithangsetna hi lhankhuh sunga ki um’a kithohgim tobang ahi. Kigoldeina hi meikong banga deo jejua, chule meikong lah-a akoupen tobang ahi. (Sheol )
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm: for love [is] strong as death; jealousy [is] cruel as the grave: the coals of it [are] coals of fire, [which hath] a most vehement flame. (Sheol )
7 Kingailutna hi twi ijat in jong achap mit joupon, vadung hon jong alhohmit joulou ahi. Khat touvin ngailutna hi anei-agou jousen chohtho ding gotaleh, alunggot chu imacha hidehlou ding ahi.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
8 Zailom: Keihon sopi numei kumdong, a-ang jong bohdoh nailou khat kanei jui. Khat touvin chongmou din thumna hung nei taleh, ka sopinu’u dinga ipi ka bolpeh thei diu ham?
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9 Ama hi pal banga ding jangpet nungah theng ahileh, gal panmun sang dangka-a ka sem uva ka venbit diu ahi. Hinlah ama chu kotkha kikaile-kisonle banga detna neilou khat ahileh, ama venna dinga Cedar thinga pal kakam diu ahi.
If she [is] a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she [is] a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
10 Mounu: Keima pal banga ding jang nungah theng chu kana hi-e, tuhin ka-ang teni hi insang kisa inting vum abang’e. Ka goldeipan eihin vet teng, ka chunga athilmu chung ah alunglhai ngeije.
I [am] a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favor.
11 Solomon in Baal-hamon ah lengpilei aneiyin, hichu lou natongho asansah-in, amaho jouse chun atheiga man dingin dangka sangkhat apecheh-uve.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he let out the vineyard to keepers; every one for the fruit of it was to bring a thousand [pieces] of silver.
12 Hinlah keima lengpilei hi keija mong ahi in, keiman kapeh ding ahi. Solomon in dangka sangkhat eipeh angai poi. Hinla theiga ngah-a pangho vang dangka jani cheh kapeh ding ahi.
My vineyard which [is] mine, [is] before me: thou, O Solomon, [must have] a thousand, and those that keep the fruit of it two hundred.
13 Moulang: Honleija cham jing, O ngainu, naloi ten nangma awgin ajah jeh-un avangphauve, keima jong nei jahsah-in.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear [it].
14 Mounu: Hung in, O ka ngaipen pa! Muinam theiho pahna lhang chunga sapeng gol le sakhi chalgol bang in chom letan!
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
