Solomon Labu 6
1 Zailom: Nagoldei hoiya che hitam, O melhoi kidang lanu? Nahin holpeh-uvinge, nei seipeh’un hoilam ajot ham?
Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
2 Mounu: Kagoldeipa muinam theiho pahna ahonleijah akumsuh tai, hon leilaija akelngoite vahding le Lily pahho loukhom ding in.
My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3 Keima ka ngaipenpa-a kahin, ama keija ahi. Ama akelngoi Lily pah lah’a avah-e.
I [am] my beloved's, and my beloved [is] mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
4 Moulang: Ngainu, namelhoi ngeije, vetnom umtah Tirzah khopi, Jerusalem tobang’in na hoijin; galsat-galhang hon ponlap akidop bang uvin na thupi-e.
Thou [art] beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as [an army] with banners.
5 Namit tenin avet nalang heiphei jin, ijeh-inem itileh na hoinan haisa mo in eilhai. Nasam kailha jong Gilead lhangdunga kon kel-hon hung kijotsuh abang jeng’e.
Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair [is] as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.
6 Naha ho kelngoi kihet ngousel jouchet’na kisop thengsel bang in akangleh jeng’e. Na mehiuheo dan nolnabei ahi in, na hatu jouse jong akigolkhom dildel uve.
Thy teeth [are] as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, of which every one beareth twins, and [there is] not one barren among them.
7 Na bengmai langto jong na ponlukhuh noijah kolbuthei chang asan jitjet abang jeng’e.
As a piece of pomegranate [are] thy temples within thy locks.
8 Lengnu somgup, thaikem somget chule sim’a simsenlou nungah khangdong aum in,
There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, and virgins without number.
9 Hijeng jongleh kenvang ka vakho, achamkim pen nu-anun adeilhen pen, ahing nun dottah’a angailut pen nu bou hi ka deilhen pen’e. Nungah khangdong hon jong angai sang uvin, lengnu tamtah le leng inpia thaikemho jeng in jong ngaisang nan ala choijun:
My dove, my undefiled is [but] one; she [is] the [only] one of her mother, she [is] the choice [one] of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; [yes], the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
10 “Koi hija ham, taikho vah banga hung vahdoh-a, chollha banga vet-hoi lheh jenga, nisa banga vah emsela, galsat ho ponlap dop banga gimnei jeng hi?” atiuvin ahi.
Who [is] she [that] looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, [and] terrible as [an army] with banners?
11 Mounu: Kei jong ka kumsuh-e beleija bepah veding le phaichama hamhing hung dondoh thahho veding, chule lengpigui ho dondoh soh tam, kolbutheiho jong pahsoh hitam ti gave lha ding in.
I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, [and] to see whether the vine flourished, [and] the pomegranates budded.
12 Hinlah keiman ka kigeldoh masang in, ka lhangai mama jeng na lungthim chun eipui lut tai; keidia milalpa sakol kangtol sung ah.
Or ere I was aware, my soul made me [like] the chariots of Amminadib.
13 Zailom: Hung kile in, hung kile kit tan, O Shulam nungahnu. Hung kinung heijin, hung kit in, i-kimuto kit theina diuvin. Moulang: Shulam nungahnun lamthem ho golnia akigol uva alam nau kikah-a achephei dimdem khu i-dinga nanghon na galdot jing’u hitantem?
Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
