< Solomon Labu 3 >

1 Mounu: Jan khat khun chunga sa-mang kajal laijin, ka goldeipa ka lhangai lheh-e. Kalhangai lheh jeng in, hinlah ama ahung poi.
By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I did not find him.
2 Hijeh chun, “Keima kithoudoh-ing katin khopi tolsungah vahle in, lamlen-lamkah ningkoi jouse ah ka goldeipa gahol le inge,” tin ka kigel tai. Hiti chun ka gahol le in, hinlah ka gamu joupoi.
I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I did not find him.
3 Kholai vengtup jan khongah hon lamkah-a eina khamtang uvin, chuin keiman amaho jah-a, “Ka goldeipa chu namu khah uvem?” tin kadong’e.
The watchmen who go about the city found me; "Have you seen him whom my soul loves?"
4 Amaho ka dalhah jouchet’na ka goldeipa kamu-mu chun, ka nailut in ka tuhchah jeng tan, chuin kapenna indan, kanu insung ah ka puilut tai.
I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, into the chamber of her who conceived me.
5 Vo Jerusalem chanute, loujaova sapeng le sakhi min pan’a katem nahiuve; achama ahung kipatdoh ngal lou leh kideina hi nanghon tildoh tho ding le suhkhah-tho din got dauvin.
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles, or by the does of the field, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.
6 Zailom: Ipi hitantem hiche gamthip lama kon’a meikhu lom banga kijel doh letlut pi khu? Ipi hitan tem Myrrh gim namtwi chule sumkol veiho gimnamtwi kilhut nam bang jeng hi?
Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all spices of the merchant?
7 Veuvin, hiche khu Solomon khunjon ahi in, avengtup din Israel sunga gamngah-galsat son-um pen pasal thahat somgup in ahin jui uve.
Look, it is Solomon's carriage. Sixty mighty men are around it, of the mighty men of Israel.
8 Amaho khu chemjam peithem cheh, galsat them cheh ahiuve. Chemjam a kiko sohkei uvin, janteng koiyin lengpa hin bulu jongleh avengdoh ding sadema kimansa ahiuve.
They all handle the sword, and are expert in war. Every man has his sword on his thigh, because of fear in the night.
9 Leng Solomon loupitah-a akijonna khunjon hi Lebanon gam'a thing phapen’a kisem ahi.
King Solomon made himself a carriage of the wood of Lebanon.
10 Akhun jon akhom-ajol chengse chu dangka jeng in a kisem in, achung khu khu sana songmantam in akitom in, apondal-ho chu pon san dup val lheng ahi. Hichu Jerusalem chanu ten ngailutna jouse puma ajep-hoisel’u khunjon ahi.
He made its pillars of silver, its bottom of gold, its seat of purple, its midst being paved with love, from the daughters of Jerusalem.
11 Mounu: Vo Jerusalem chanute, hung uvin lang Leng Solomon hi hung ve tem’un. Aman akipa thanop napen, ajinei nia anun lallukhuh apeh chu akikhuh-in ahi.
Go forth, you daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.
