< Solomon Labu 1 >

1 Zailom: Hiche hi Solomon la ho lah’a apipen, adang jouse sanga thupi ahi.
This is Solomon’s Song of Songs.
2 Mounu: Neichop in lang, avel in neichop in, ajeh chu nei deibolna chu lengpitwi sang in jong alhumjoi.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is more delightful than wine.
3 Gimnamtwi nakinu chu iti namtwija hitam, namin ngei hi agim namtwi kitungdoh tobang ahi. Akidang poi, khangdong nungah jousen hibang loma nahin deiju hi!
The fragrance of your perfume is pleasing; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens adore you.
4 Kei jong neipuijin, hung in; kijam ta hite! Lengpan ajalna pindan’ah ei puilut hen. Zailom: Iti kahin kipapiu hitam, O Lengpa. Na milungset dan hi lengpitwi sang in ka ngaisang jouve. Mounu: Nahin ngaisangnau hi adih tangeiye!
Take me away with you—let us hurry! May the king bring me to his chambers. We will rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. It is only right that they adore you.
5 Keima ka vouso avom vang'in kamelhoi nai, Vo Jerusalem Chanute-Cedar phaiya ponbuh kisongho banga vom, Solomon pondal banga vom chu ka hinai.
I am dark, yet lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.
6 Kavouso avom jeh-in, Neihin vehih-uvin-nisan ei kahdup jeh ahibouve. Ka sopi pasal ho ka chung ah alunghang uve, alengpi leiju vekol ding in eino uvin, hijeh chun kei le kei ka kijen joupoi; keima lengpilei ka kivet kol man poi.
Do not stare because I am dark, for the sun has gazed upon me. My mother’s sons were angry with me; they made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have neglected.
7 Nei seipeh-in, O goldei, tuni na kelngoi honho hoilama na puiding ham? Sun teng hoikoma na kol sah ding ham? Ajeh chu keima hi noti banga naloi-napaiho chule kelngoite lah’a iti ka vavai le jeng thei ding ham?
Tell me, O one I love, where do you pasture your sheep? Where do you rest them at midday? Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your companions?
8 Moulang: Na het loule, O nungah melhoipen nu; ka kelngoi ho kikaina nung juiyin lang, kelngoi chingho ponbuh vel’a chun na kelchate vah-in.
If you do not know, O fairest of women, follow the tracks of the flock, and graze your young goats near the tents of the shepherds.
9 O ka deinu, na nunnop dan hi Pharaoh sakol lagol lah-a khat toh nabang’e.
I compare you, my darling, to a mare among Pharaoh’s chariots.
10 Na bengmai alangtoa hi iti deium hitam! Na bilba tenin asal emsel jeng’e! Nangong jong iti dei um hitam, na sana bilba hung kailha chun ajem hoi be cheh-e.
Your cheeks are beautiful with ornaments, your neck with strings of jewels.
11 Zailom: Sanavui sempeh-ungting, kicheina ding dangkavui toh thosah-unge.
We will make you ornaments of gold, studded with beads of silver.
12 Mounu: Lengpa jalkhun chung ah alum in, gimnamtwi ka kinu gimnam hi aki tunglut jel jeng’e.
While the king was at his table, my perfume spread its fragrance.
13 Ka goldeipa hi ka ang-a Myrrh gim namtwi theineo kikhai abangin ahi.
My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh resting between my breasts.
14 Ama hi En-gedi lengpileiya henna pahcha-boh toh abange.
My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms in the vineyards of En-gedi.
15 Moulang: Iti hoiya hoi nahi hitam, O ka goldei nu! Namit teni hi vakho te abang jeng’e.
How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how very beautiful! Your eyes are like doves.
16 Mounu: Nangma jong na hoi ngeije, O goldei, kam’a seidoh jou hoi hilouvin dei na um nalom’e! Hampa dong nem hiuheo khu i-jalkhun lhon ding in alom e.
How handsome you are, my beloved! Oh, how delightful! The soft grass is our bed.
17 Namtwi tah Cedar thingbah ho jeng jong i-inkam lhon ding in apang uvin, chahthing ho jeng jong i-insun lhon ding in apang’uve.
The beams of our house are cedars; our rafters are fragrant firs.
