< La Bu 79 >
1 O Elohim Pathen chiding namdangten nanga dinga nanakilhendoh nagamchu ahinlo tauvin, na Houin theng asuboh'un chuleh Jerusalem chu khogemsa abahsah tauvin ahi.
God, other people-groups have invaded your land. They have (desecrated your temple/caused your temple to be unfit for worship), and they have destroyed all the buildings in Jerusalem.
2 Amahon nasohte tahsa chu vantham jolla lengle vachate adalhahpeh tauvin, pathen mi thengte tahsaphe chu gamlah a ganhingho an le chahin apangtan ahi.
[Instead of burying] the corpses of your people [whom they killed], they allowed vultures and wild animals to eat the flesh of those corpses,
3 Jerusalem kimvellah thisan hi twilon in along jengin mithi vuiding koimacha aumpoi.
When they killed your people, your people’s blood flowed like water through [the streets of] Jerusalem, and there was [almost] no one [HYP] left to bury their corpses.
4 Kaheng kakomho noise dingleh kajet kavei a umho dingin noise le taitomin kaumtauve.
The people-groups that live in countries that surround our land insult us; they laugh at us and deride/belittle us.
5 O Yahweh Pakai phat ichangeija kachung uva nalunghan ding hitam? Tonsot geijin em? Phat ichan geija nathangthipna chu meikong banga aljeng dingham?
Yahweh, how long [will this continue]? Will you be angry with us forever? Will your being angry [destroy us like] a burning fire [destroys things]?
6 Yahweh Pakai nalunghanna chu nang na donnom loute chidang namdang holeh naminpan nomloute lenggam hochungah bunglhatan.
[Instead of being angry with us], be angry with the people-groups that do not know/worship you! Be angry with kingdoms whose people do not pray to you,
7 Ajeh chu amahon namite Israelte hi avallhum gamtauvin chuleh gamsung hi gamgem asodohsah tauvin ahi.
because they have killed Israeli people and they have ruined your country.
8 Kapu kapateu chonset jehin keiho neithep mosah hihbeh un! Nami khotonan gangtah'in kangaichatnu neisuh bulhitpeh un, achutilouleh kakinepnau beiding ahitai.
Do not punish us because of the sins that our ancestors committed! Be merciful to us now/quickly, because we are very discouraged.
9 O Pathen Elohim kasochatnau, neipanhu loiyun! namin loupina dingin neipanhuvin, kachonsetnau ngaidam inlang neihuh doh'un namin loupina dingin.
God, you have saved/rescued [us many times], [so] help us [now]; rescue us and forgive us for having sinned in order that other people will honor you [MTY].
10 Ipi dinga chiding namdangte hin eihouset uva “A Pathen u Elohim hoilai a umham?” natisah nahlai dingham? Hiche chiding namdangho chunga naphulahna chu neimusahih in, ajeh chu amahohin nasohte thisan aso u ahi.
It is not right that [RHQ] other people-groups say [about us], “If their God [is very powerful], (surely he should help them/why does he not [help them])?” Allow us to see you punishing the people of other nations in return for their shedding our blood; they have killed many of us, your people.
11 Sohchangho lhasetna hi ngaipehin, thidinga athu kitansa hohi huhdoh inlang nathaneina chu neivet sah'un.
Listen to your people groaning while they are in prison, and by your great power free those whom our enemies say that they will certainly execute.
12 O Yahweh Pakai kaheng kakom hon noise tah a nahousetnao hi ajat sagin lethuh tei in.
In return for their having [often] insulted you, punish them seven times as much!
13 Hiteng chuleh keiho namite nangailutna ankonga kivah nakelngoiten akhang khangin nang vahchoi ungting, vahchoijing taovinge.
After you do that, we, whom you [take care of like a shepherd takes care of] his sheep, will continue praising you; we will continue to praise you forever [HYP].
