1 O kamite ho, kathuhil hi ngaiyun. Kathusei a hin nakol'u hinsungun,
Hear my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 ajeh chu keiman thulem a nahenga thu kaseiding ahi, keiman achesa thilsoh ho-a kon a kahin hilding nahi,
I will open my mouth in a parable. I will explain mysteries from days of old,
3 eihon thusim ijahsa houleh ihetsahou, thusim ipu ipateuva kon a hung kiseilhapeh ho ahi.
Which we have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 Eihon hiche thutah hohi icha inaoteu i-impeh loudiu, Yahweh Pakai natoh loupi tahtah hohi, athaneinale akidanna hohi ikhangthah houhi iseipehdiu ahi.
We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the tehilahot ·praise songs· of Adonai, his strength, and his wondrous deeds that he has done.
5 Ajeh chu Aman Jocob kom a Dan anapeh-a, Israel kom a thuhil ho anapeh ahi. Aman ipu ipateu atu achateu ahil diuva thupeh anapeh ahin,

that the generation to come might know, even the children who should be born; who should arise and tell their children,
7 Hitiachu khangthah ahunglhun channa Elohim Pathen a kinepna thah aneisah nadiu, Yahweh Pakai natoh kidang thil loupi hochu asuhmillou nadiu chuleh athupehho anitjing nadiuva ahiljing diu ahi.
that they might set their hope in God, and not forget God’s deeds, but keep his mitzvot ·instructions·,
8 Hiteng chuleh ipi iputeu tobang talou a lungtahna, kiphinna, kitah louna Elohim Pathen a alungthim'u pehnom louna anei lou diu ahitai.
and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that didn’t make their hearts loyal, whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
9 Ephraim galsat hon thalchang akipoh vangun akinung hei un galmun a konin ajam tauve.
The children of Ephraim [Fruit], being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], in the field of Zoan.
13 Ajeh chu Aman twikhanglen ana homkhen in twichu bang bangin aki khen in amaho anapui galkaiyun ahi.
He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.
14 Sunleh meilhang in anapuijin, janleh meikong in anapuijin ahi.
In the daytime he also led them with a cloud, and all night with a light of fire.
15 Aman gamthip gamm a songpia kon in adondiu twi anaputdoh sah-in ahi.
He split rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink abundantly as out of the depths.
16 Aman songpia konna twichu vadung bangin analondohsah in ahi.
He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
17 Ahijeng vangin neldi gam achun amahon chonset anabol'un hatchungnung dounan ana kiphin'un ahi.
Yet they still went on to sin ·deviate (from the standard goal)· still more against him, to rebel against haElyon [the Most High] in the desert.
18 Amahon alungsung uchu lungtahna neipumin Elohim Pathen ana patep un nehding anathumun ahi.
They tempted God in their heart by asking food according to their desire.
19 Amahon Elohim Pathen Amatah dounan thu anaseiyun “Elohim Pathen in gamthip gammah an eipejou pouve” atiuve.
Yes, they spoke against God. They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
20 “Henge, songchu ajep'un twichu aputdoh nai, ahinla amite changlhah le sa me eipejou pouve” atiuve.
Behold, he struck the rock, so that waters gushed out, and streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide meat for his people?”

Therefore Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed·, and was angry. A fire was kindled against Jacob [Supplanter], anger also went up against Israel [God prevails],
22 ajeh chu amahon Elohim Pathen atahsan pouvin chuleh amaho akhoukhah diuvin jong ana tahsan pouvin ahi.
because they didn’t trust in God, and didn’t trust in his yishu'ah ·salvation·.
23 Elohim Pathen in chungleng vanthamjol thu apen vankot jouse jong ahongdoh in,
Yet he enjoined the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven.
24 Aman aneh dingun van a konin Mana gojuh in ahin juhlhah sah in van changlhah chu ahinpen ahi.
He rained down manna ·what is it· on them to eat, and gave them food from the sky.
25 Amahon vantil buchu aneuvin, Elohim Pathen in alungna chimsetnun apen ahi.
Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full.
26 Aman solam huichu ahin nunsah in, Athahatnan lhanglang huijong anunsah in ahi.
He caused the east wind to blow in the sky. By his power he guided the south wind.
27 Aman aneh dingun sachu vutdi jat ahin juhlhah sahin, vachaho chu twikhanglen panga neldi jat ahin,
He rained also meat on them as the dust; winged birds as the sand of the seas.
28 Aman vachaho chu aponbuh sungu leh avel uvah ahin lenlhah sah in ahi.
He let them fall in the middle of their camp, around their habitations.
29 Amahon oivasetin aneuvin ahi. Angaichat dungjuitah in apen ahi.
So they ate, and were well filled. He gave them their own desire.
30 Hinla amahon angaichat dungjuija anehva masangu, akam sung uva sa aumpet jeng jong chun,
They didn’t turn from their cravings. Their food was yet in their mouths,
31 Elohim Pathen lunghana achung uvah ahung lhungtan ahileh Aman alah uva ahatpen pen hochu athat tan ahi. Israel khangthah anasapen hochu athat gamtan ahi.
when the anger of God went up against them, killed some of their fattest, and struck down the young men of Israel [God prevails].
32 Ahijeng vangin mipiho chun chonset aboljom jingun ahi, thilkidang ijat abol vangin atahsan dehpouvin ahi.
For all this they still sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)·, and didn’t trust in his wondrous works.
33 Hiti chun ahinkhou chu lhuhgam na ahitan akum khouchu kichatnan adimtai.
Therefore he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror.
34 Elohim Pathen in amaho ahin thapat phatnun amahon ajona langin Amachu ahin holtauvin ahi. Kisihna ahin neitauvin Elohim Pathen ahin holtauvin ahi.
When he killed them, then they inquired after him. They made teshuvah ·complete return· and sought God earnestly.

They remembered that God was their rock, haElyon [the Most High] God, their redeemer.

But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.
37 Alung sungu chu Elohim Pathen a ana petheng pouvin Elohim Pathen toh anakitep nauva jong ana dingdet pouvin ahi.
For their heart was not right with him, neither were they faithful in his covenant.
38 Hinla lungsetna dim Elohim Pathen chun achonsetnau anangai damun amahochu ana sumang deh pouvin ahi. Phat atamjon alunghan na anatuh tangin hiche bangchun ima ana tongdoh pon ahi.
But he, being merciful, forgave depravity (moral evil), and didn’t destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn’t stir up all his wrath.
39 Tahsa mihembep ahiuve ti ahejingin, hui anun leh heikhat kahbou ahin ahung kiletapoi ti ageldoh in ahi.
He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and does not come again.
40 Gamthip sunga ijatvei Ama douna ana kiphin jengu chuleh alungsung anatsah vangin,
How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness, and grieved him in the desert!
41 Avel vel in Elohim Pathen thohhat nachu apatep jiuvin Israel Pathen Elohim chu asulunghang jiuvin ahi.
They turned again and tempted God, and provoked haKadosh Isra'el [the Holy One of God prevails].

They didn’t remember his hand, nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;
43 Egypt gamsunga thil kidang ijat abolu hitam chuleh Zoan phaicham a athil kidang bol hochu ageldoh tapouvin ahi.
how he set his signs in Egypt [Abode of slavery], his wonders in the field of Zoan,

he turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink.

He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.

He gave also their increase to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.
47 Alengpithei jouseu gel avohlhah sah sohkei in, atheipiu phung jouseu jong daibang athagamsah in ahi.
He destroyed their vines with hail, their sycamore fig trees with frost.
48 Agancha jouseu gel lah a dalhah in aumsah in, akelngoi houjong keh alhah lihsah sohtai.
He gave over their livestock also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.
49 Achung uva nasatah in alunghangin, alung dammona alung hanna, mi sumang vantil hon tamtah alhahkhum tan ahi.
He threw on them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.
50 Aman alunghanna achung uvah achuh sahtan, Egypt mite hinkho anahing hoipon, amangthah gamtan ahi,
He made a path for his anger. He didn’t spare their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence,
51 Egypt insunga achapa tahpen cheh athat in Egypt gamsung pumpia khangdongte pahcha amolsahtai.
and struck all the firstborn in Egypt [Abode of slavery], the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion].
52 Hinla Aman amite chu kelngoi honbangin apuiyin gamthip noija bitkei in apui galkai tan ahi.
But he led out his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 Aman mongtahin apuilen hijeh chun amahon kichatna aneipouve, chujongleh twikhanglen in agalteu alhoh mangpeh gamtai.
He led them safely, so that they were not afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54 Amaho chu Elohim Pathen in agamtheng abanjetna atundoh, molsang vum achun ahin puilut in,
He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken.
55 Amaho masangah namtin vaipi adelmang peh sohkeiyin, abonchauvin achan dingu gam ahoppeh chehin, Israel phung namtin abonchauvin ama ama ponbuh cheh a achensah tai.
He also divorced and drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel [God prevails] to dwell in their tents.
56 Ahijeng vangin amahon hatchungnung Elohim Pathen dounan thil abol jingun athupeh ho khatcha anitpeh pouvin ahi.
Yet they tempted and rebelled against haElyon [the Most High] God, and didn’t keep his testimonies;
57 Apu apateu bangin avah mang-uvin jou jengin na atonguvin ahi. Amaho chu thalpi janglou bangin akitah pouvin ahi.
but turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers. They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
58 Amahon pathen dangho doiphung aphutdoh un Elohim Pathen alunghan sah uvin, chuleh semthu pathen ahoujeh-un Elohim Pathen athangthip sahtauvin ahi.
For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their engraved images.
59 Elohim Pathen in ajahdoh phat in hatah'in alunghangin Israel chu pumpai in apaimangtan ahi.
When God sh'ma ·heard obeyed· this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel [God prevails];
60 Elohim Pathen in Shiloh achenna mun adalhan mihemte lah a aumna ponbuh chu adalhatai.
So that he abandoned the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;
61 Aman aloupina le athaneina hetna kitepna thingkong chu galmiho khutna apehdohtan ahi.
and delivered his strength into captivity, his glory into the adversary’s hand.
62 Ama amite chunga alunghan jeh-in agalmiteu athasah gamtan ahi.
He also gave his people over to the sword, and was angry with his inheritance.
63 Gollhangho galah athigam tauvin, nungah ho akichenpidiu aumtapon ahi.
Fire devoured their young men. Their virgins had no wedding song.
64 Thempute athat gamtauvin ameithai houvin alhasetpi thei tapouvin ahi.
Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows couldn’t weep.
65 Ajonan Yahweh Pakai chu a-ihmua ahung khangdoh bangin ahung thoudoh in mihatpa hung kiltildoh bangin ahung kitildohin,
Then 'Adonay [Lord] awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.
66 Galmi hochu anungno in a-itih a ding jumna atosah tan ahi.
He struck his adversaries backward. He put them to a perpetual reproach.
67 Ahinla Joseph chilhah hochu apaidohin, chuleh Ephraim phungchu alheng tapon ahi.
Moreover he rejected the tent of Joseph [May he add], and didn’t choose the tribe of Ephraim [Fruit],
68 Aman akhellin Judah leh angailut Zion molchu alhengin,
But chose the tribe of Judah [Praised], Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] which he 'ahav ·affectionately loved·.
69 hichea chun vanho san banga sang, leiset banga chah a-itih a umjing dingin houin khat atungdoh tan ahi.
He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which he has established forever.
70 Aman asohpa David chu akelngoi chinna a konnin anakoudoh'in analheng tan ahi.
He also chose David [Beloved] his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 Aman kelngoipi le anou achin laijin akoudoh'in amite Israel Jacob chilhah hochu kelngoi chinna ching dingin anapansah tan ahi.
from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob [Supplanter], his people, and Israel [God prevails], his inheritance.
72 David in amaho chu lungtheng tah leh chingtheitah in analamkaiyin ahi.
So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
