< La Bu 74 >

1 O Pathen, idia hitihchan pi neipaidoh u hitam? Ipi ding’a na kelngoite douna a hichangeihi na lunghan ham?
Maschil of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast us off for ever? Why doth Thine anger smoke against the flock of Thy pasture?
2 Khang masalai peh a nalhentum chate kahiu neisumil hih beh un, hiche nam nagoulu tum dia na ngeh jing chu kahiuve! chule hiche lei a na in Jerusalem jong sumil hih beh in.
Remember Thy congregation, which Thou hast gotten of old, which Thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of Thine inheritance; and mount Zion, wherein Thou hast dwelt.
3 Hiche khopi kisumangsa a hin hungvahlen lang, na melmate’n na houin hi ichanggei a asuhset’u hitam hinven.
Lift up Thy steps because of the perpetual ruins, even all the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary.
4 Hiche mun a hi na melmate’n haan la a anasap u hitam, hiche mun a hi aponlap u ana khaisang’u ahi.
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of Thy meeting-place; they have set up their own signs for signs.
5 Amahon gammang lah a thingtuhna a heicha analap u bang’in,
It seemed as when men wield upwards axes in a thicket of trees.
6 Heicha le chempong toh tho’n anakhenchip’un ahi.
And now all the carved work thereof together they strike down with hatchet and hammers.
7 Amahon namuntheng a na mintheng kitahdohho chu asuboh un,
They have set Thy sanctuary on fire; they have profaned the dwelling-place of Thy name even to the ground.
8 Chuban in jong “abonchan suseu hite” akitikit uvin, Pathen houna mun jouse jong anahallhah u ahitai.
They said in their heart: 'Let us make havoc of them altogether'; they have burned up all the meeting-places of God in the land.
9 Keihon melchihna thil kidangtahho chu ka mudohjou tapouvin ahi. Themgaoho jouse la aumgam tapouvin, chule hiche hi itihleh kichai ding ti chu koimacha ahe aumpon ahi.
We see not our signs; there is no more any prophet; neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
10 O Pathen ka melmate’u hi itihchanggei na kihousatsah ding ham? Namin theng hi tonsot'a nasuh molphou sah ding hitam?
How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Thy name for ever?
11 Ipi dia na banjet thahatna hi na chalohsah lou ham? Na khut thahattah chu mangcha’n lang amaho khu sugam tan.
Why withdrawest Thou Thy hand, even Thy right hand? Draw it out of Thy bosom and consume them.
12 O Pathen nangma hi khangluilai a pat a leiset chung’a huhhingna hinpolut a ka lengpa na hi.
Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13 Nang man na ban thahat’in twikhanglen jong na lhehkhen in, twikhanglen'a cheng sahemho luchang jong navohchip soh hel e.
Thou didst break the sea in pieces by Thy strength; Thou didst shatter the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters.
14 Nangman Leviathan luchang jong nasuchip in atahsa neldigam a um ganhingho vahnan na mangtai.
Thou didst crush the heads of leviathan, Thou gavest him to be food to the folk inhabiting the wilderness.
15 Nang man leiset a kum nakihei sah in leiset a kon’in twi tamtah na putdohsah in chule a-itih a kang khalou vadung ho jong na sukang jin ahi.
Thou didst cleave fountain and brook; Thou driedst up ever-flowing rivers.
16 Sun le jan jong nang’a ahin: nangman vanlaijol’a avahho jouse le nisa jong na sem in ahi.
Thine is the day, Thine also the night; Thou hast established luminary and sun.
17 Nangman leiset gamgiho jouse jong na lhehkhen in chule nipilai le phalbilai jong na gongtoh in ahi.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth; Thou hast made summer and winter.
18 Ven Pakai hiche melmaho hin ichangei a nangma hi na houset’u hitam, ima hetkhenna neilou nam miten na min hi asuminseuvin ahi.
Remember this, how the enemy hath reproached the LORD, and how a base people have blasphemed Thy name.
19 Hiche gamsa tobang miphalouho hi vapal tobang miphaho hi suhmangsah hihbeh in, na mite gentheina hi itihchan’in jong sumil hihbeh in.
O deliver not the soul of Thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the life of Thy poor for ever.
20 Na kitepna kinep umtah ho chu sumil hihbeh in, ajeh chu gamsung hi muthim le pumhat a natohna adimset e!
Look upon the covenant; for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.
21 Noise le chotpha a umte hi jumna tosah kit hihbeh in, amavang mivaicha le tahlelte na min choi-at sah in.
O let not the oppressed turn back in confusion; let the poor and needy praise Thy name.
22 Na melmate’n na housetnaho le na doumah mah asap a saptho jenghou hi nahsahmon koihihbeh in.
Arise, O God, plead Thine own cause; remember Thy reproach all the day at the hand of the base man.
Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, the tumult of those that rise up against Thee which ascendeth continually.
