< La Bu 73 >
1 Yahweh Pakai chu Isreal te din aphai, hitobanga lungthimtheng ho dinga chun.
A Melody of Asaph. Nothing but good, is God, Unto Israel, Unto the pure in heart.
2 Keima din vang, kalamjotna beikoncha bou ahitai. Kalamlhong anal in lhulham pai ding kahitai.
But, as for me, —My feet had, almost stumbled, My steps had, well-nigh slipped;
3 Ajeh chu keiman mikiletsahho gitlou bol pum hijong leu akhangtou u kamuteng ka otchalheh jin ahi.
For I was envious of the boasters, At the prosperity of the lawless, used I to look.
4 Amaho hi atahsa'u aphatheiyin, adamthei un, ahattheiyun lungkhamna imacha neilou dan'in aum jiuve.
For they have no pangs in their death, And vigorous is their body;
5 Amaho hin midang bang'in boina imacha aneipouvin midangho'n aneiyu lunggimna amahon imacha aneipouve.
Of the toil of weak mortals, have they none, Nor, with the sons of earth, are they hard smitten.
6 Amahon kiletsahna songmantam a kisem khivui bang'in aki ouvin, gitlouna chu pon bang'in akisil'un ahi.
For this cause, doth arrogance deck them as a neck-chain, And a garment of wrong is their attire;
7 Hiche miboltheiho hin alungsung uva angaichat chan'u anei un ahi.
Their iniquity, hath proceeded from fatness, They have surpassed the imaginations of the heart;
8 Amahon mi jahda dingngen aseijun kiletsah tah in midang chu suhmang ding ago uvin ahi.
They mock, and wickedly command oppression, From on high, they command;
9 Amahon van douna'n thu asei uvin a-o cheng'un leiset pumpi asamsesoh jeng'un ahi.
They have set, in the heavens, their mouth, And, their tongue, marcheth through the earth.
10 Hiti chun mipiho'n athusei u hi ajah uleh akicha uvin akisulungdong gam tauvin ahi.
Therefore must his people return thither, And, the waters of abundance, are drained by them;
11 Elohim Pathen'in ipi ahet am? “Hatchungnung in thilsohho hi ahena dem?” atiuve.
And they say—How doth GOD know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 Hiche migilouho hi veuvin hinkhonom amang un ahao tultul jeng'un ahi.
Lo! these, are the lawless, Who are secure for an age, They have attained unto wealth.
13 Imacha phachomlou ding'a lungthim theng ka put ham? Themmona beihel'a hinkho ka man hi mohseh ham?
Altogether in vain, Have I cleansed my heart, And bathed in pureness, my hands;
14 Nilhumkei in imacha phatchomna ka mupon hahsatna ngen ka mu jo'n ahi, jingkah seh in lunggimna ngen in eilonvuh in ahi.
And yet been smitten all the day, And been rebuked morning by morning!
15 Keiman hitiahi ka seikhah a ahileh na mi ka hilou hijeng inte.
If I had thought, I will relate it thus, Lo! the circle of thy sons, had I betrayed.
16 Hijeh chun keiman miphalouho hi i-atileh khangtou cheh cheh u ham ti hetchet ding'in ka khol'in ahi. Ahinla iti hahsat hitam?
When I reasoned, that I might understand this, A vexation, it was in mine eyes:
17 Hichun O Pathen Elohim, nangma muntheng'a ka lut'in ahileh ajona in migiloute akhankho diu chu kahin hedoh tan ahi.
Until I could enter the holy places of God, —Could give heed to their hereafter: —
18 Tahbeh in nang'in amaho hi lhuh nathei munjeng a nakoi ahin alhuh gam nadiu a kiling gih geh songpi chung a nakoi joh ahi.
Surely, in slippery places, dost thou set them, —Thou hast suffered them to fall into places of danger.
19 Chomkah lou in amaho amahthahgam tauvin ahi, tijatna'n alhohmang gam tauve.
How have they become desolate, as in a moment! They have ceased—come to an end, by reason of calamities.
20 O Yahweh Pakai nangma na hung kipatdoh tengleh nang'in amaho ngolna chu na nuisat ding ahi, mikhat in jingkah lang'a amang anuisat tobang bou ahi.
As the dream of him that waketh, O my Lord! when rousing thyself up, their shadowy being, wilt thou despise.
21 Hijouchun ka lungsung analheh jeng'in, hiti chun ka sunggil lang achiplha jeng'in ahi.
But my heart had grown embittered, And, in my reins, had I received wounds;
22 Keima vang mingol le thilhethemlou kana hi-Nang a ding chun khohephalou gamsa tobang bep ka na hi bouve.
But, I, was brutish, and could not perceive, Like the beasts, had I become before thee.
23 Henge keima nang'a ka hi jing'e, nang man ka jetlang na tuh jingnai.
Nevertheless, I, am continually before thee, Thou hast taken hold of my right hand;
24 Na chihna'n eikaihoi jing in, munloupi tah chu neilhut ding ahi.
By thy counsel, wilt thou guide me, And, afterwards, unto glory, wilt thou take me.
25 Van a nang tailou koidangba ka nei ding ham? Leiset chung'a thildang jouse sang'in jong kalung in na ngaicha joi.
Whom have I in the heavens? And, compared with thee, there is nothing I desire on earth.
26 Ka tahsa bei henlang ka lhagao lhadai jongleh, Elohim Pathen chu ka lungthim'a ka hatna ahijing'in Amahi tonsot a kei a ahijing'e.
Failed have my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart—and my portion, is God unto times age-abiding.
27 Ama dalhaho jouse chu mahthah ding ahiuve, ajeh chu nangma dalhaho jouse chu nangman na sumang jin ahi.
For lo! they who are far from thee, shall perish, Thou hast put an end to every one who wandered unchastely from thee.
28 Ahinla keima ding'in Elohim Pathen kom nai hi iti phat a hitam! Keiman vang Yahweh Pakai Lengchungnung chu ka kiselna ahijing e, chule keiman na thilbol kidangho hi mijouse ka seipeh ding ahi.
But, as for me, the drawing near of God, is my blessedness, —I have made, of My Lord Yahweh, my refuge, —That I may recount all thy works.
