1 Eihuhdoh in, O Elohim Pathen, twisoh hin ka ngong gei achuptai.
O God, save me, because [I am in great danger]. [It is as though] flood water is up to my neck, [and I am about to drown] [MET].
2 Bonlhoh lah a hin ka lhalut cheh cheh tai; pansatna ding ka mujou tapoi. Keima twithuh lah a ka lhalut tan twisoh hin eichup tai.
I continue to sink in the deep mud, and there is no solid ground for me to stand on. I am in deep water, and flood waters are swirling around me.
3 Panpi ngai a kaka na katha achollha tai; ka lolhomsung jong agolha tai. Ka ka kanan ka mit jong apomtan, Elohim Pathen in eipan pi ding kangah e.
I am exhausted from calling out [for help]; my throat is very dry. Because I have cried so much as I have waited for God [to help me], my eyes are swollen.
4 Ajehbei hel a eivetdaho hi ka lujang a ka samjang sang'in atamjouve. Ka melmate hin jou thu jeng a suhmang ding eigouvin, hitihin ka guh louhel thil chu kanung peh din athum uve.
Those who hate me when there is no reason to hate me are more than the number of hairs on my head [HYP]! Those who want to get rid of me are strong, and they tell lies about me. They demand that I return to them things that I did not steal!
5 O Elohim Pathen ichangei a ngol kahi nahenai; Ka chonsetnaho hi nang'a kon'in akiselmang theipoi.
O God, (you see the sins that I have committed/my sins are not hidden from you). You know that I have foolishly [disobeyed your laws].
6 Keijeh in, nangma tahsan ho chu jumsah hih beh in, O van a lengchungnung Yahweh Pakai, kei jeh in nang ma houmi tehi kisuh jum na nei hisah hihbeh in, O Israel Pathen Elohim.
O Yahweh God, [you who are the commander] of the armies [of heaven], do not allow the [wrong things that] I [have done] to cause those who trust in you to be disappointed/disillusioned. O God, you whom [we] Israeli people [worship], do not allow me to cause your people to be humiliated.
7 Ajeh chu nangma jal a housetna ka thoh ahi; jumna le jachatna kamai a adimset tai.
People have insulted/ridiculed me because [I am devoted to] you. They have thoroughly humiliated [IDM] me.
8 Ka sopiho tah jeng'in jong eikihetmosah tauvin gamchommi bangin eibol tauvin ahi.
Even my own [older] brothers act as if they do not know me; they treat me like a foreigner.
9 Na houin a ding a ka tompan jeh in eichaideh tan ahi, nangman na housetnau jouse chu ka chunga achu tan ahi.
[Some people have despised your temple]; but my zeal for [keeping] your temple [holy] is like a fire burning inside me. So [it is as though] those who are insulting you are also insulting me.
10 Kappum a an kangol a chun, noisetah in eihou un ahi.
When I have humbled myself and (fasted/abstained from eating food) [to show my sadness about the disgraceful things that they have done to your temple], they just insult me.
11 Ka genthei phondohna a khaodippon ka kisil'a ahileh einuisat un ahi.
When I put on [rough] sackcloth [to show that I am sad], they laugh at [IDM] me.
12 Keima hi khopi sung a jalhang a kihoulim nopna bep ka hitan jukhamhon kei chungchang thu totnopnan anei tauve.
Even the elders [of the city] say bad things about me. The drunkards of the city sing [disgusting] songs about me.
13 Hinla Yahweh Pakai naheng a katao jingin, tuchung beh neihin khoto ding kakinem e. O Yahweh Pakai na mingailut longlou chun katao nahi huhing na tahbeh a chun nei donbut in.
But Yahweh, I will [continue] praying to you. At the time that you choose, answer me and rescue me because you faithfully love me.
14 Bonlhoh lah a kon hin neihuhdoh in; athuh jep a neilhahlutsah hihbeh in, eivetdaho lah a kon'in neihuhdoh in lang hiche twithuh lah'a kon hin neikaidoh in.
Do not allow me to sink any more in the mud. Rescue me from those who hate me! Lift me up out of these deep waters!
15 Twisohhat lai neichupsah hih in, ahilouleh twithuh gillai jong nei vallhum sah hih in, ahilouleh thina lhan kotong jong nei nehmang sah hih in.
Do not allow flood waters to swirl around me, do not allow the deep [mud] to swallow me; keep me from sinking into the pit [of death] [MET].
16 O Yahweh Pakai ka taona neingaipeh in, ajeh chu na mingailutna longlou hi kidangtah ahin, neikaihoi jing in, ajeh chu na mikhotona hi lolhingtah ahi.
O Yahweh, answer my prayer and help me because you are good and love me faithfully.
17 Na sohpa a kon hin kisel mang hih in; gangtah in neidonbut in ajeh chu keiman boina nasatah ka toh tai.
Do not (hide yourself from/refuse to hear) me; answer me quickly because I am in great trouble.
18 Hung'in lang neihung lhatdoh tan; ka melmat a kon'in neilha-ong tan.
Come near to me and save me; rescue me from my enemies.
19 Nang'in eiki houset na eikijum bolna le ei kijachat sah naho jouse na hesohkei in ahi. Ka melmaten abol jouseu na hesohkei e.
You know that I am insulted and that [people cause] me [to feel] ashamed and dishonored; you know [who] all my enemies [are].
20 Ami taitomnauvin ka lungthim asukeh in, kadailheh jeng tai. Mikhat seh hijong le lungset na eimusah um hen lang; Khattou hung kiheihen lang eihin lungmonsah le kanom e.
[Their] insults have deeply offended me, and I (feel helpless/am in despair). I searched for [someone who would] pity [me], but there was no one. I wanted someone to encourage/comfort me, but there were none.
21 Ahinla chutimalah in amahon ka nehdin gu eipeuvin amahon ka don ding'in juthuh eipeuve.
[Instead], they gave me food [that tasted like] poison, and when I was thirsty, they gave me sour wine to drink.
22 Amasang uva neh-le-chah dimset dokhang chu akipal nao soh henlang, ahaonau chu amaho ding'in thangkol hisah jeng tan.
I hope/desire that the feasts [MTY] [that they enjoy] will (become a snare for/bring trouble to) them, and that [those whom they invite to] the sacrificial feasts will also be trapped.
23 Kho amutheilouna diuvin amit u chojeng henlang atahsao kithing thing in umsah jeng in.
I hope/desire that their eyesight will become dim so that they cannot see anything, and that their backs/bodies will become weaker and weaker.
24 Na lunghanna chu achung uvah sunglha jeng'in; na lunghanna meikong achun amaho chu kavam jeng in.
Show them that you are very angry with them! Because of your great/furious anger, chase after them and catch them.
25 A-in'u chu ahomkeo soh doh jeng henlang aponbuh u jong kihoh doh jeng hen.
Cause their towns to become abandoned/deserted and that there will be no one left to live in their tents/houses.
26 Gotna napeh mi chun, akisuhkhah na chung uva jumbol na akoibe uve; akisukha ho chu natna abelap peh uve.
[Do this] because they persecute those whom you have punished, (they talk about the sins of/they want to hurt even more) those whom you have wounded.
27 Achonsetnau setvum peh unlang, khatcha ongthol'in lha hihbeh in.
Keep making a record of all their sins, do not acquit/pardon them [for the evil things that they have done].
28 Amin u chu hinna lekhabu a konin thaimangpeh in; michonpha ho lah a kisimtha sah hihbeh un.
Erase their names [SYN] from the book [containing the names of those who have eternal] life; do not include them in the list of righteous people.
29 Keima natna thohgim in ka um e, O Elohim Pathen, na mihuhhingna thahat chun neihuhdoh in.
As for me, I have pain and am suffering. O God, protect me and rescue me.
30 Hiteng chuleh keiman na min pachatna la'n sangting chule thangvahna pum'a jana ka peh ding ahi.
When God does that, I will sing as I praise God, and I will honor him by thanking him.
31 Ajeh chu hichun kilhaina bongchal ki katdoh sang'a Yahweh Pakai chu alunglhaisah ding ahin, bongchal thaotah le akeng tin hoitah thilpeh kipe sang in jong aphajoi.
My doing that will please Yahweh more than [sacrificing] oxen, more than offering him full-grown bulls.
32 Mi kineosah ten a Elohim Pathen'u natoh muo vintin kipahdiu ahi. Apanpi dia Elohim Pathen holte jousen kitilkhouna neicheh uhen.
Oppressed/Afflicted people will see [that God has rescued me], and they will be glad. I want all of you who ask God [to help you] to be encouraged.
33 Ajeh chu Paka in ngaichageova umte taona angai in; Aman sohchang'a umho donlouvin akoi jipoi.
Yahweh listens to those who are needy; He does not ignore/forget those who are oppressed/imprisoned.
34 O van-le-lei in Elohim Pathen vahchoi u henlang twikhanglen le asung a cheng jousen jong vahchoi u hen.
I desire that everything will praise God— everything that is in heaven and on earth, and all the creatures that are in the seas.
35 Ajeh chu Elohim Pathen in Jerusalem ahuhdoh ding Judah khopiho asemphat ding ahi. Hiche'a chun amite cheng untin gamsung chu alodiu ahi.
God will rescue the people of Jerusalem [from their enemies], and he will rebuild the towns that are in Judah. His people will live there and [again] possess the land.
36 Ama thu nitjing chaten gamsung chu louvin tin, chule ama ngailuho jouse hiche mun a chu lungmong a cheng diu ahi.
The descendants of his people will inherit it, and those who love him will live there [safely].
