< La Bu 17 >
1 O Yahweh Pakai adih thumna a kaka ogin hi nei jahpeh in, katao nahi nei ngaipeh in, lungthengsel le dih tah katao ahi.
“A prayer of David.” Hear, O Lord, [the cause of] righteousness, attend unto my entreaty, give ear unto my prayer, coming from lips without deceit.
2 Kathem chan na neiphondoh peh'in, ajeh chu nangin thudih a natong namuchet ahi.
Let from thy presence my sentence come forth; let thy eyes behold what is right.
3 Nangin kalunggel ho napatep jin, janteng jongle kalungsung navelhaji. Nangin kapum changin neivechillin kathepmo na namupoi; kakamsung jenga jong set na potlou ding ahitai.
Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast thought of me in the night; thou hast refined me—thou couldst find nothing: my purpose doth not pass beyond [the words of] my mouth.
4 Keiman nathupeh Dan dungjuiin, migilou ho le mi-engseho ho khonung kajui ji poi.
Among the deeds of men did I observe, by the word of thy lips, the paths of the dissolute.
5 Kakalson dan hin nalampi kajui jingin nangma lampia konnin kapotdoh pon ahi.
My steps held firmly to thy tracks, [and] my footsteps did not slip.
6 Keima nangma komma taova kahi ajeh chu O Elohim Pathen nangin neisanpeh teiding kahei. Kataona hi lunglut tah'in neingaipeh in.
I call on thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God: incline thy ear unto me, hear my speech.
7 Nami ngailutna longlou chu kidangtah in neimusah'in, agalmitea konna hoidohna ngaichaho chu nathahatna gimneitah chun nahuh doh ji e.
Show marvelously thy loving-kindnesses, O thou that savest those who put their trust [in thee] from those that rise up [against them] by thy right hand.
8 Nangman namit teni na chintup jing bangin keima jong nei vesuijin. Nalhaving limnoija chun neisellin.
Keep me as the apple of the eye; conceal me under the shadow of thy wings,
9 Kavel a eidoujing migilouho a kon in eivengtup in, eithatgo kamelma hoa konnin nei huhdoh in.
From the wicked that despoil me, my enemies, who, to take my life, compass me about.
10 Amahohi mi khotona bei ahiuvin akiletsah nao thucheng chu ngaitan!
They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
11 Amahon eihin juilutnun eiumkimvel uvin tola selhuh dingin agomkom ahol un ahi.
On our steps they now encompass us: they direct their eyes to turn aside in the land.
12 Anehding changlhih le keipi bahkai hangtah bang le keipinou vin gamthip lai matding avetlhih le tobang ahiuve.
Every man is just like a lion that is greedy to tear his prey, and like a young lion lurking in a covert.
13 Hung kipat tan O Yahweh Pakai kidintepin lang seplhu jengin! Nachemjammin migilouhoa konnin neihuhdoh in.
Arise, O Lord, prevent him, cast him down; deliver my soul from the wicked, who is thy sword, —
14 O Yahweh Pakai naban thathatnin vannoia ama phatchomna ngaito hohi sumangin. Amavang nangma goulu hohi nangman vah va jing in. Achateu neijong suhnengpeh inlang ason apahteu goulo ding geija adalhah peh theina diuvin gontoh peh'in.
From these men—thy hand—O Lord, from the men of this world, whose portion is in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hidden treasure: they have children in plenty, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15 Monabeija hinkho Kaman jeh a namel kamu teiding ahi. Kathodoh tengleh nangma toh kimaitoa ikimuto ding chule kalungnachim tante.
As for me, in righteousness shall I behold thy face: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with contemplating thy likeness.
