1 Yahweh Pakai in sohchang hochu Jerusalem a ahinlepuilut kitphatchun, hichu mangtoh abang jengin ahi!

“A song of the degrees.” When the Lord bringeth back again the captivity of Zion, then shall we be like dreamers.

2 Keiho lungna chim tah'a nuinan ka dimset jingun, ki pahtah'in la kasauve. Hichun chidang namdang hon asei un, “Yahweh Pakai in thil loupi kidangtah chu aboldoh peh tauve” atiuve.

Then shall our mouth be filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then shall they say among the nations, Great things hath the Lord done for these.

3 Adih'e, Yahweh Pakai in thil loupi kidangtah chu eiboldoh pehtauve! Iti kipa um a hitam!

Great things would the Lord have done for us, [whereat] we should be joyful.

4 Neldi gam a twilonglut hon athah semkit bangin O Yahweh Pakai kanei kagouhou hin kiledoh sah kittan.

Bring back again, O Lord, our captivity, like rivulets in arid land.

5 Mitlhi long pum pum a muchi tuten, kipah thanom tah'a aga akilodiu ahi.

Those that sow in tears shall reap with joyful song.

6 Kapjing pum a atuding muchi kipoh'a vaikonten, aga hinkipoh puma inmun kipahle thanomtah'in hung kileuhen.

He goeth forth indeed and weepeth, that beareth the seed for sowing; but he will surely come with joyful song when he beareth [home] his sheaves.
