1 Yahweh Pakai kataona ngai in! Ka ngeh nahi neisanpeh in.
“A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out before the Lord his complaint.” O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Kei a kon in kiheimang hih'in, kahahsat phatleh khohsah tah'in neingaipeh in, kangaichat phatleh neihin gelkhoh in,
Hide not thy face from me on the day when I am distressed; incline unto me thy ear; on the day when I call, answer me speedily.
3 Ajeh chu kahinkho hi meikhu bangin abeipai jitai, kagu kachang hi asadohji tai.
For my days vanish in smoke, and my bones are burning like a hearth.
4 Kalungsung hi anadohjin hamhing bangin agolha jitai, chutengle chun kagilkel jong abeipaiji tai.
Struck [by heat] like the herb and dried up is my heart; for I forget to eat my bread.
5 Ajeh chu lunggim a kakhoisat sat jeh'in kavun le kagu hobou kahitai.
Because of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
6 Keima neldi gam a sumbupi toh kabangtai, gamlatah gamthip gam a sumbupi noutoh kabangtai.
I am like the pelican of the wilderness: I am become like the owl amid ruins.
7 Keima kahah khovahjin, inting vumma vacha changkhat seh lunghel tah-a um kabange.
I watch, and I am become like a [night-]bird sitting alone upon the housetop.
8 Kagal miten sun nilhum in eitaitom jingun, amahon eisamseuvin eitaitom jingun ahi.
All the day my enemies reproach me: they that mock me swear by me.
9 Keima buneh jong vutvai jeng ahitai. Kadon na sunga jong kamitlhi alonglut tai.
For ashes do I eat like bread, and my drink I mingle with weeping;
10 Nalunghan na le nagimbol nachun eidom sang in eipaidoh tai.
Because of thy indignation and thy wrath; for thou hadst lifted me up, and hast cast me down.
11 Kahinkho hi nilhah lang nilep bangin achemang loijitai. Keima hampa bangin kagop lhaloi jitai.
My days are like a shadow that declineth; and like the herb I wither.
12 Ahinla Yahweh Pakai nangvang nalaltouna a natoujing ding ahi. Naminthan na akhang khanga chelhajing ding ahi.
But thou, O Lord, wilt sit enthroned for ever; and thy memorial is unto all generations.
13 Nangma hung kipat in natin Jerusalem hi nahin khoto ding ahi. Tuahi nangnam na khohsah phat ahin, tuhi na kitepna dungjui a mi kithopi phat ahi.
Thou wilt indeed arise; thou wilt have mercy upon Zion; for it is time to favor her, for the appointed time is coming.
14 Ajeh chu namiten bang'a song jouse angailu uvin chuleh lamlenna vutvai hojeng jong angaisang'un ahi.
For thy servants hold dear her stones, and her very dust they cherish.
15 Chujouteng leh chitin namtin ten Yahweh Pakai ang-a kithing thingding ahi,
Then shall nations fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory:
16 Ajeh chu Yahweh Pakai in Jerusalem ahin thahsem kitding chutengle Ama aloupina-a hung kilang ding,
When the Lord shalt have built up Zion, he appeareth in his glory;
17 Aman tahlelte taona ahin sanding Aman angaichat hou asanpehding ahi.
[When] he hath regarded the prayer of the forsaken, and doth not despise their prayer.
18 Khonunga khangthahho dinga kijihlut pehding hitiachu tua pengloulai hon Yahweh Pakai chu ahin thangvah dingu ahi.
This shall be written down for the latest generation; and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.
19 Yahweh Pakai in van muntheng a kon a ahin vetsuh ding, Aman van a kon a leiset hi ahin vetsuh ding
For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; the Lord hath cast from heaven his view to the earth:
20 songkul tangte khoisatna ajahding thidinga themmo kichanho alha doh dinga,
To hear the sighing of the prisoner; to loosen those that are doomed to death:
21 hiteng chuleh Yahweh Pakai minthanna chu Zion a lopna umding, chule Jerusalem a kithangvah ding ahi.
That men may proclaim in Zion the name of the Lord, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 Mihonpi tamtah chu ahung ki khopkhom teng leh leng gam hojouse chu Yahweh Pakai chibai boh a hungdiu ahi.
When people are gathered together, and kingdoms, to serve the Lord.—
23 Aman kaban thahat akim laitah avolhun kahinkho asuchomtai.
He hath weakened on the way my strength; he hath shortened my days.
24 Hinla keiman Ama kakouvin, Oh Yahweh Pakai tonsot a hingjing kakhandon laitah ahin kahinkho lahih'in.
I will say, O my God! take me not away in the midst of my days: throughout all generations are thy years.
25 Kum tamtah achetai, nangin hiche leiset leibul nana lhungdoh'in, vanhohi nakhut tah'in nanasemdoh in,
In olden times didst thou lay the foundations of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 hihojouse hung mangthah ding ahinlah nang tonsotna nahinjing ding ahi, amaho ponlui bangin hungvui lhantin, Nangin amaho chu von banga nakhelding chujouteng napai mangdiu ahi.
These will indeed perish, but thou wilt ever exist: yea, all of them will wear out like a garment; as a vesture wilt thou change them, and they will be changed;
27 Hinla Yahweh Pakai nangvang abang chu nahijingin ahi.
But thou art ever the same, and thy years will have no end.
28 Nangma mite chate jouse lungmong a umdiu ahi. Achate chateho chu na-anga hung khanglen diu ahi.
The children of thy servants will dwell [securely], and their seed will be firmly established before thee.
