Do not imitate evil men, nor desire to be among them.
2 Ajeh chu alung thim un thilse jeng agong un, akamdung uva jou le nal jeng aseijun ahi.
For their mind meditates on robberies, and their lips speak deceptions.
3 Chihna jeh chun in akisadoh jin, chule hetkhen themna jal-a kitungdet ji ahi.
By wisdom shall a house be built, and by prudence shall it be strengthened.
4 Hetkhen themna akon insung dann jousea, thil manlutah tah le; lung lhaina thilpha chom haona dimset-ji ahi.
By doctrine, the storerooms shall be filled with every substance that is precious and most beautiful.
5 Miching chu mi thahat sang in ahat jon, hetna nei mi jong atha hatpa sang in ahat cheh jin ahi.
A wise man is strong, and a well-taught man is robust and valiant.
6 Ijeh-inem itileh lungthim thepna jal-a gal kisatji ahin, chule gal jona jong thumop them hoa kingam ahi.
For war is undertaken in an orderly manner, and safety shall be where there are many counsels.
7 Chihna hi mingol ho din meiphah ahipon, thutanna kotpi mai lah'in jong seiding aneiji tapouve.
Wisdom is beyond the foolish; at the gate he will not open his mouth.
8 Koi hileh thilse bol ding ngaito chan chu, jou le nal-a natongpa tia kikou ding ahi.
Whoever intends to do evil shall be called foolish.
9 Mingol ho thilse gonhi chonset ahin, mi ahilou lam'a tot chaveipa jong mi jousen athet ahibouve.
The intention of the foolish is sin. And the detractor is an abomination among men.
10 Kidoupin nahin phah nikho teng jongleh lung lhadai hih in, ajeh chu lhahsamna'a nanei cheh ding ahibouve.
If you despair, being weary in the day of anguish, your strength will be diminished.
11 Thina lam jon-a kijot hokhu huhhing loijin, chule min athagamna dinga kipal-lhu ho jong huhdoh loijin.
Rescue those who are led away to death. And do not cease from delivering those who are dragged away to a violent death.
12 Nangman, “vetem in, keihon hiche hi kahe phapouve,” tin nasei in, Ama bouvin mihem lungthim akholchil-a ahet chin ji hilou ham? Nalhagao vea ching jing pan hitobang hi amelchih jing hilou ham? Aman mihem koi hileh atoh dungjui cheh-a lethuhna anei ding hilou ham?
If you would say: “I do not have sufficient strength.” He who inspects the heart, the same one understands, and nothing slips past the one who preserves your soul. And he shall repay a man according to his works.
13 Kachapa, khoiju hi don in atui lheh jeng e, khoi-phanga apat hung pot khoiju hi nele chun alhum'a lhum ahi.

Do not lie in wait, and do not seek impiety in the house of the just, nor spoil his rest.

For the just one will fall seven times, and he shall rise again. But the impious will fall into evil.
17 Namelma akipal lhuh teng kipanan neihih hel in, aman kipal lhuhna ato khah jongleh kipa thanopna'a nanei lou ding ahi.
When your enemy will fall, do not be glad, and do not let your heart exult in his ruin,
18 Ajeh chu Yahweh Pakai in hin mudoh leh, lunghanna'a anei loding ahi. Hijeh chun ama kon chun Yahweh Pakai lunghanna peldoh in.
lest perhaps the Lord see, and it displease him, and he may take away his wrath from him.
19 Thilse bol ho jeh in nang le nang kisih hih in, chule achon chan-u jong thangsetpi dan.
Do not contend with the most wicked, and do not be a rival to the impious.
20 Ajeh chu miphalou ding in khonung thua kinepna abeiyin, chule migilou ho thaomei kimut mit peh tei ding ahi.
For the evil hold no hope in the future, and the lamp of the impious will be extinguished.
21 Kachapa, Yahweh Pakai le lengpa ging in lang, Anitah lhon-a athua nanun ding ahi.

23 Hicheho jouse jong hi miching ho thusei ahisoh keijin: Thutan-a langneina nei kiti jong hi thildih ahipoi.
Likewise, these things are for the wise. It is not good to base judgment on knowledge of character.
24 Migiloupa kom'a, “Nangman themmona nanei poi,” tia sei chu, mitin vaipi gaosap chang ding, namtin in athet ding ahi.
Those who say to the impious, “You are just,” shall be cursed by the people, and the tribes shall detest them.
25 Miphalou phohsal pa chu kipah thanom'a um ding, chule hitobang mi chunga chu phattheina lhung ding ahi.
Those who argue against the impious shall be praised, and a blessing shall come upon them.
26 Thu kitohdel-a donbutna chu kigolngai kibeng chop avetsah ahi.
He shall kiss the lips, who responds with upright words.
27 Polam'a natoh ding abonchan kigontoh in lang, chule lou laija natohna ding aboncha naki gonsoh keija; chujou tengleh na chenna ding in sapan tan.
