Thuchihbu 2
1 Kachapa, kathusei ho na-ngaija, chule kathupeh ho gou banga na chintup jing ding,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 Chihna thu nakhoh sah jing ding, chule lunggil tah'a thil hetkhen themna nanei ding ahi.
So that thou incline thy ear to wisdom, [and] apply thy heart to understanding;
3 Hetgilna dingin peng jah-in, thil hetkhenna nanei thei nadin othong in peng jah in,
Yes, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 Dangka banga na hol ding; thil lutah kisel banga nahol ding ahi.
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;
5 Chuteng Yahweh Pakai gin kiti nahetdoh ding, Elohim Pathen hetna jong nanei ding ahi.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Ajeh chu chihna hi Elohim Pathen thilpeh ahin, Amakam sunga kon hetkhenna hung konji ahi.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.
7 Milungtheng hodin hetkhen themna apejin, lung limgeh cha lamlha te chunga lum-in apang jitai.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: [he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 Mikitah ho lampi avetsuipeh in, amakoma kitah ho avengbit jing e.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Chuteng nang in chonphat na le thudih chu nahin hetdoh ding, chule lamdih'a cheje dan nahin kimu dohding ahi.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; [and] every good path.
10 Ajeh chu nalung sunga chihna hunglut intin, chule hetna lhingset nahin nei ding, hichun nakipa sah ding ahi.
When wisdom entereth into thy heart, and knowledge is pleasant to thy soul;
11 Hetkhan them chihna chun nahin venbit ding, hetthemna chun nahoibit ding ahi.
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 Hichun aphalou lampia kon navenbit jing ding, miphalou le milhem chavei hoa kon nahuhdoh ding ahi.
To deliver thee from the way of the evil [man], from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 Hitobang miho chu lamdih'a kon lamvaija, lamdih lou ajot diu ahi.
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Amaho thil dihlou jeng bol ding athanom un, chule thil phalou jenga kiman chah athanop piuvin ahi.
Who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Amahon atohdoh jouseu aphalou ngan ahin, chule achonnau lamlhah jouse damun jeng ahi.
Whose ways [are] crooked, and [they] froward in their paths:
16 Chihna hin numei phalou akon nahoidoh sah ding, joulhep toh tho a tuhchah ding nagot uva kon nahoidoh thei ding ahi.
To deliver thee from the strange woman, [even] from the stranger [who] flattereth with her words;
17 Hitobang numei hin ajipa adalhah'a chule Elohim Pathen henga akitepna jong aheimil ahitai.
Who forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 Hiche numeinu hin a-insunga thina chan alhut ahin, alam lhahna jouse jong damun lam jeng ahi.
For her house inclineth to death, and her paths to the dead.
19 Ama henga lut pasal tapou mahthah ding, hinna lampi langa lutlou hel ding ahi tauve.
None that go to her return again, neither do they take hold of the paths of life.
20 Hijeh chun nangman mipha ho lampi najui jing ding, michonpha ho lampi jeng bou najot ding ahi.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good [men], and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 Ajeh chu Elohim Pathen ging hon bou gam sung alo diu, chule mikitah hobou gam sunga cheng diu ahi.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 Amavang mi lungdih lou ho gam sunga kon kikai doh diu, chule lungthim dihlou ho chu gam sunga kon kipei doh jeng diu ahi.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
