1 Mihem in alung sunga tohgon anei jin, kam kilhang sel'a thu kisei jong Yahweh Pakai in adonbut teijin ahi.
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [are] from the LORD.
2 Mihem in angatna lampi chu amit-tenin aven adih jeng in agel in, hinlah Yahweh Pakai in alunggel ngaito jouse akhol chil jin ahi.
All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3 Nabol natoh abonchan Yahweh Pakaija pedoh jeng in, chutileh nathilgon aboncha lolhing ding ahi.
Commit thy works to the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
4 Yahweh Pakai in thil jouse akiman chahna ding dol cheh'a aumsah ahin, migilou jeng jong hahsat nikhoa dinga aumsah ahi.
The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5 Yahweh Pakai in mikiletsah kiti athet in, hijeh chun hethem un, amaho chu gotna chang tei diu ahi.
Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
6 Tahsan theija chonna le kitahna hin, themmona jeng jong adihsah in, Yahweh Pakai ginna jeh'in mihem in thilphalou apeldoh thei jin ahi.
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.
7 Mihem chu achena lam jouse Yahweh Pakai lungdei ahitengleh, Yahweh Pakai in ama chu amelmate toh jong akichamsah jitai.
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 Thildihlou pum'a kai-tampi kidon khom sang in, thildih'a lhomcha nei ding aphajoi.
Better [is] a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right.
9 Mihem in alung in chena ding lampi akisem in, Yahweh Pakai in achena ding lam ako-peh jin ahi.
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
10 Lengpa kamsunga kon'in Elohim Pathen thusei ahung gingdoh jin, hijeh chun lengpan thu a tankhel jipon ahi.
A divine sentence [is] in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
11 Yahweh Pakai in thil adih in atetoh jin, hijeh chun thil ijakai Yahweh Pakai in atetohsa jeng ahi.
A just weight and balance [are] the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag [are] his work.
12 Leng ho din thil adihlouva bol hi thet umtah ahin, ajeh chu Ama vaihomna hi thudih a kingam ahi.
[It is] an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
13 Leiguia kon thudih kiseidoh hi lengpa din lunglhai aum in, ajeh chu lengpan thu adih'a sei chu angailun ahi.
Righteous lips [are] the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
14 Lengpa lunghan nahi gihsalna ahin, hinlah miching chun lengpa lunghanna adamsah jin ahi.
The wrath of a king [is as] messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
15 Lengpa mailhai sel'a aum teng, damna akibe jin, lengpa lunglhaina jong hi, go hung phin lhaji meilhang tobang ahi.
In the light of a king's countenance [is] life; and his favor [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.
16 Sana sang in chihna kimu dei aum jon, dangka sang'a jong thil hetthemna kisan ding ahi.
How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold? and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?
17 Michondih chu thilse lam'a kon'in akiheidoh jin, achena tinchenga limgehpa chu kihinso teiding ahi.
The highway of the upright [is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 Manthah ding kon le kiletsahna ahung lhung loi jin, kipal lhuh ding konleh, lhagaova hoithana ahung um loi jitai.
Pride [goeth] before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Mikiletsah hotoh thil kichomdoh kihop sang in, kineosah a vaichate toh lhat khom anom e.
Better [it is to be] of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20 Min ahilna ngaija chu khangtou jing ding, chule Yahweh Pakaija kisong chan chu anunnom ahi.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusteth in the LORD, happy [is] he.
21 Mi-lungchingpa chu thil hethemmi kiti ding, chule lunglhaina'a thuseipan mi athujo tei ding ahi.
The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
22 Chihna nei mi chu hinna twinah tobang ahin, mingol ho ngolna hi talen matna bep ahi.
Understanding [is] a well-spring of life to him that hath it: but the instruction of fools [is] folly.
23 Miching lung sunga kon chihna thucheng hungpot chan chu, Dan toh akikal jipon, akamcheng soh jouse chu mi thununna ahibouve.
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
24 Ngailutna'a thu kisei hi khoiju tobang ahin, lhagao le tahsa ding in antuitah damna ahi.
Pleasant words [are as] a honey-comb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
25 Mikhat ding in lampi khat chu lamdih jeng in akimun, hinlah alampi chu ajona thina ahi.
There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end of it [is] the ways of death.
26 Natong gimpa hin, aneh ding gelna'a atoh ahin, ajeh chu aneh nomna alol chun achama atohsah ahitai.
He that laboreth laboreth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
27 Mihem pannabei chun thilphalou jeng agel in, akamcheng soh jong melkah gin tobang ahi.
An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips [there is] as a burning fire.
28 Thilphalou bolpan, baotamna aso-sah jin, aguh a thuphong lepan golcha kingaitah jong asukhen in ahi.
A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
29 Pumthoa natong hon aheng akom jeng jong atilseu-vin, chuting aheng akompa jong lamdih-lou alhung jitai.
A violent man enticeth his neighbor, and leadeth him into the way [that is] not good.
30 Koi hileh mit teni-singa phetsah jichun, thilpha lou jeng angaiton, muh phunsah sah pan jong thilphalou abolsoh ahita bouve.
He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
31 Sam-kang liuva hinna hi, loupina lallukhuh ahin, adih jenga hinkho akiman teng, hitobanga hi hinkhosot thei ahibouve.
The hoary head [is] a crown of glory, [if] it is found in the way of righteousness.
32 Ki hatsah sang in thohhat tah'a lungneng apha jon, alungput athua nunsah joupa chu, khopi khat nokhum'a kilah sang in aphachom joi.
[He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit, than he that taketh a city.
33 Khutphang sunga vang akive jin, hinlah vang phatna leh phatlouna chu Yahweh Pakaija hung kon bou ahi.
The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposing of it [is] from the LORD.
