The Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the second year after they departed from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying:
2 Kalchuh kut kiman na ding phat kitepna a hi aman ding uvin Israel mite chu seipeh tan,
“Let the sons of Israel observe the Passover at its proper time,

on the fourteenth day of this month, in the evening, according to all of its ceremonies and justifications.”
4 Mosen jong mipi henga kalchuh kut kipa golnop abol ding uvin aseipeh tan ahi,
And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, so that they would observe the Passover.

And they observed it at its proper time: on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, at mount Sinai. The sons of Israel acted according to all the things that the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 Ahinlah ama ho lah a mi phabep chun mithi long ana thamkhah jeh un, chonna ngai bang in akisuboh a ahitauvin, hiche nikho a Kalchuh kut kipa golnop a chun alha thei tapouve. Hiche nikho chun Mose leh Aaron kom a ahung un
But behold, certain ones, who were not able to observe the Passover on that day, being unclean because of the life of a man, approaching Moses and Aaron,
7 “keihon mithi long ka tham khah tah jeh un, chonna ngai banga atheng louva ka hi tauve. Hijong leh Israel mipin asem leng a keihon jong Pathen ang a maicham kasem mo diu ham?” ahungtiuvin ahi.
said to them: “We are unclean because of the life of a man. Why have we been cheated, in that we are not permitted to offer, at its proper time, the oblation to the Lord among the sons of Israel?”
8 Mose chun a donbut, “Nangho ding a Pathen a kon a hilchahna kamu kah khongai un” ati.
And Moses responded to them: “Remain, so that I may consult the Lord, as to what he will rule about you.”
9 Pakaiyin Mose ahin donbutna chu hiche hi ahi.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
10 “Hiche hilchahna ho hi Israel mipite seipeh in: Tukhang hihen lang khang hunglhung ding ho hijongleh chonna ngai bang a akisuhboh kha hihen, kholgam a chedoh ho hijongleh Kalchuh kut kipa golnop a pangthei ding u ahi.
“Say to the sons of Israel: The man who becomes unclean because of a life, or if he is on a distant journey within your nation, let him observe the Passover to the Lord.
11 Kalchuhkut kipa golnop kichai lhakhat lhin teng kalchuh kut maicham thilto abol ding u ahi, hichu lhani lhinna a nisom le nili lhinna khojin chip chep phat hiding ahi. Hicheteng chuleh Kalchuh kut kelngoi sa chu anche kha le cholsolou changlhah toh aneh tha dingu ahi.
In the second month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, they shall eat it with unleavened bread and wild lettuce.
12 Amahon kelngoi chu jingkah khovah geija akoi thei lou ding u, chuleh hiche agu jong asuh boh thei lou dingu ahiye. Kalchuh kut kiman na chungchang a dan umho hi ajui cheh ding u ahi.
They shall not leave behind any of it until morning, and they shall not break a bone of it; they shall observe all the rituals of the Passover.
13 “Ahin Israelmi hiya chon na ngai a aboh jong hilou, kholche a jin doh jong hilou, ahivang a Kalchuh kut nahsah lou miho chu Israel nampi akonna kah lhah’a umding ahi. Pathen maicham jong aphat tah ahin todoh lou leh achonsetna jal a themmo chang a um ding ahiuve.
But if any man was both clean, and not on a journey, and yet he did not observe the Passover, that soul shall be exterminated from among his people, because he did not offer the sacrifice to the Lord in its time. He shall bear his sin.
14 Nangho lah a nam dangmi Kalchuh kut golnop a jaonom aumleh, nit ding leh jui ding a kipe jouse hi anit ngaiyin, hiche dan hin Israel nam chilhah a kon hihenlang, gamdang chilhah a kon a koi hijongle akan soh kei ding ahi.
Likewise, the sojourner and the newcomer, if they are among you, shall observe the Passover to the Lord according to its ceremonies and justifications. The same precept shall be with you, as much for the newcomer as for the native.”
15 Houbuh ahin phudoh nikho uchun, meilom in Houbuh chu atom tan ahi. Houbuh chung nga meilom nilhah apat jingkah geiya umchu meikong lomtoh abang jeng in ahi.
And so, on the day when the tabernacle was raised, a cloud covered it. But over the tabernacle, from evening until morning, there was, as it seemed, the appearance of fire.
16 Hiche meilom houbuh chung a um, jan tengle meikong alom a hung kilah ji tobang chun aum jing tan ahi.
This was so continually: throughout the day a cloud covered it, and throughout the night, the appearance of fire.
17 Houbuh chunga meilom chu akihohdal ji teng, Israel mipiten hiche amaicham ponbuh chu aphet lhah jiuvin meibol lom chu ajui ji uvin ahi. Chuleh hiche meilom akingah ngah na a chun Israel mipi ten ngahmun akisemkit jiuvin ahi.
And when the cloud that was protecting the tabernacle had been taken up, then the sons of Israel advanced forward, and in the place where the cloud had remained standing, there they made camp.
18 Hitichun che ding a Pathen thupeh amu dung juiyin lam ajot un, ngahmun asa jiuvin ahi. chuleh houbuh chung a meilom aum chan chun ngahmun dalhalouvin aum jiuvin ahi.
Upon the order of the Lord they advanced, and upon his order they fixed the tabernacle. All the days during which the cloud was standing over the tabernacle, they remained in the same place.
19 Hiche meilom chu Houbuh chung nga nisot tah aum ji teng Israel techu akichol jiuvin Pathen Houna dinga atoh ding umho chu atong jiuvin ahi.
And if it happened that it remained for a long time over it, the sons of Israel kept the night watches of the Lord, and they did not advance,
20 Phatkhat khat teng Pathen thupeh dungjui in meilom chu Houbuh chung nga ni chom chacha bou akingaji in, amaho jong ni chomcha bou akichol jiuve. Chuteng Pathen thupeh dung in ngahmun chu aphet lha uvin ache jomkit jitauvin ahi.
during as many days as the cloud remained over the tabernacle. At the command of the Lord they raised their tents, and at his command they took them down.
21 Phat chomkhat kit teng Meilom chu jankhovah in aum in Jingkah teng akichon doh jin ahi. Ahinlah sun hihen jan hita jong leh hiche meilom chu ahung ki hohdoh teng ngahmun chu aphetlha jiuvin ache jom jingji un ahi.
If the cloud remained from evening until morning, and immediately, at first light, it left the tabernacle, they set out. And if it withdrew after a day and a night, they dismantled their tents.
22 Houbuh maicham chunga meilom chu ni ni umhen, lhakhat umhen, ahilouleh kumkhat umjong leh, Israel mipite chu ngahmun na chun aki chol jing jiuvin apotdoh jipouvin ahi. Amavang Meilom chu Houbuh chunga ahung kihoh dal teng ngahmun chu aphet un achejom kit jitauvin ahi.
Yet truly, whether it remained over the tabernacle for two days, or one month, or a longer time, the sons of Israel remained in the same place, and they did not set out. Then, as soon as it withdrew, they moved the camp.
23 Hitichun Pakai thupeh bangtah in akichol un, akalsong jing un ahi, chule Pathen in Mose a kon a athupeh jouse chu abolkim soh jing un ahi.
By the word of the Lord they fixed their tents, and by his word they advanced. And they kept the night watches of the Lord, according to his command by the hand of Moses.
