1 Chuin PakaiyinMose henga hiti hin aseijin ahi.
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Israel mipi henga seijin, Amahon Tenggol somleni hin kisem uhen, Insung leh a phungkai cheh uvin khat cheh kisem uhenlang, aphung lamkai mincheh hin kisut sohkei uhen,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and take from them one staff each for a family division, from all their princes, according to their family divisions, twelve staves: the name of each man shalt thou write upon his staff.
3 Phung lamkai khat min cheh chu kijih lut ding ahijeh'in, Aaron min chu Levite phung lamkai ding chun sun in,
And the name of Aaron shalt thou write upon the staff of Levi; for there shall be but one staff for the head of their family division.
4 Hiche tenggol hohi nangman nakoi tup ding houbuh masanga kimutona muna keima toh iki mutoh ji ding ahi.
And thou shalt lay them down in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I usually meet with you.
5 Hiche thingpeh ka lhen doh chunga chu hung pahdoh ding koija ahi het theina ding hiche tengle keiman achaina natoh kahin nei ding nangma chunga kipah thei lou lung lhai lou na tong ho chung hi ding ahi.
And it shall come to pass, that the staff of the man whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will allay from around me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.
6 Hichun Mose’n Israel mipi chu hilgahna aneiyin chule Israel phungsom le ni lamkai ho jouse jong chu Aaron tenggol thingpeh jong chu ahin choiyun ahi.
And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, and all their princes gave him each a staff, one for every prince, according to their family divisions, twelve staves: and the staff of Aaron was among their staves.
7 Mose’n hiche tenggol ho sese chu Pathen houbuh leitol Pathen um pettah in akoi lhah soh hel in houbuh het jing na ahi.
And Moses laid down the staves before the Lord in the tabernacle of the testimony.
8 Hichun Mose chu ajing in houbuh sung’a chun aga lut in ahileh Levite insung thakhel dia kikoi Aaron tenggol chu ana dondoh in, amum aum in, apahlhah jouvin, aga chu Almond ahin, ana min kit tai.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that as Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony, behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded; and it brought forth buds, and produced blossoms, and yielded ripe almonds.
9 Hichun Mose’n Tenggol jouse chu Pathen masang nga ahin choi doh cheh in, aman hiche ho jouse chu mipi hochu avetsah soh keiye. Mi jousen ama ama phungkhai Tenggol vchu akilah cheh uvin ahi.
And Moses brought out all the staves from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel; and they looked [at them], and took away every one his staff.
10 Hichun Pathen in Mose ahin houlimpi’n: Aaron Tenggol chu Kitepna Thingkong chung’a chu a-itih’a na tun jing ding ahi, Hiche chu miphalou ho hilna a pang’a, Pathen douna’a akiphin’u ajom ngam tahlou nadiu leh a thilham jina’u akon ahuidoh na diuva, hettohsah a pang jing ding ahi.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Carry back the staff of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept as a token against the children of rebellion, that there may be an end of their murmurings from around me, and they die not.
11 Mose’n jong Pathen in ahil bang bang chun aboltan ahi.
And Moses did so; as the Lord had commanded him, so did he.
12 Israel mipiten Mose komma hitin asei uvin: Keiho pihi among thah ding bep’a um kahi tauve. Keiho athisa kahi tauve, kei ho akichai gam ding kahi tauve.
And the children of Israel said unto Moses, thus, Behold, we perish, we are lost, we are all lost.
13 Ajeh chu Pathen maicham nailut jouse a hiti thi thuthu jeng pihi ati tauve.
Every one that cometh near at all unto the tabernacle of the Lord must die: shall we totally perish?
