1 Pakaiyin Mose henga thu hichengse hi aseijin ahi.
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
2 Canaan gam gakhol toh ding Pasal ho jouse chuga hetchen sahtan, gam chu keiman Israelte kapeh ding ahitai Pasal khat cheh phung dungjuiya lamkai hinah jallin acheding in ngense cheh un.
Send for thee men and let them spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving unto the sons of Israel, —one man each for the tribe of his fathers, shalt thou send, each one a prince among them.
3 Hichun Mose’n Pathen in anganse na dungjuiyin abol in, gamthip lah’a pat chun Mose’n Pasal somleni Israel phungsom le ni ho lamkai ho chu ngahmun apat’nin asol doh in ahi.
So then Moses sent them out of the desert of Paran, at the bidding of Yahweh, —all of them, great men, heads of the sons of Israel, were they.
4 Ama cheh phung min chule alamkai ho chu; Reuben-Shammur, Zuar chapa ahiuve.

16 Amaho chengse hi Mose’n gamkhol chin ding nga alhen doh ho, Mose’n Hosea chule Nun chapa amachu akouvin Joshua min asah tai.
These, are the names of the men, whom Moses sent to spy out the land, —but Moses called Hoshea son of Nun, Joshua.
17 Mose’n hiche Pasal a soldoh ho chu hiche thugah na ho chu aneiyun gam leiset kholchil ding nga nganse na anei dung juiyin nangho cheuvin sahlam mah negar hopat un thinglhang lam naho diu ahi, ati.
So Moses sent them, to spy out the land of Canaan, —and said unto them—Go up, here in the South, Yea ye shall go up the mountain;
18 Cheuvin lang gam umdan ijakai kholchilna ganei jun lang mihem um dol jong hinve chil unlang, hiche muna cheng ding chu mi ijat adol ding ham tijong hinkhol un, ati.
And shall see the land, what it is, —And the people that dwell thereupon, Whether they are, strong, or weak, Whether they are, few or many;
19 Amaho chenna gamho chu apha ham, aseham akhosah dan u ijakai hinkhol un chule khopi umdan jong hinve chil un.
And what, the land, is, wherein they dwell, Whether it is, good, or, bad, —And the cities within which they dwell, Whether in camps or in strongholds;
20 Leiset chu thao putna ham ahilouleh gamgo apha lou ham? Hilai kom dunga chu thing phung tamtah umham? Thei phung thing phung aga hoi pen tah vetchil dia na hinpoh diu ahi.
And what the land is, Whether, fat, or, lean, Whether there is timber therein or is not, Then shall ye pluck up courage and take of the fruit of the land. Now the days, were the days of the first-fruits of grapes.
21 Hichun achie tou un Zin gamthip apat akhol chil un Rebob kiti gei chu Leboh Hamath kom dung gei chu abonchan gakholsoh keiyun.
So they went up, and spied out the land, —from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob at the entering in of Hamath.
22 Sahlam ahoh paovin gamthip kiti mun chu ajot paovin chuin Hebron alhung tauve. Hikom mun chu Amal chilhah te ahin Sheshal chule Tamal ho chun ana um uve. Hebron khopi chu Egypt khopi Zoan kiti sanga kum-sagi masanga kisem masa ahi.
Yea they went up in the South and entered as far as Hebron, and there, were Ahiman Sheshai and Talmai descendants of the Anak. Now, Hebron, was built seven years, before Zoan of Egypt.
23 Amahon Eschort phaicham ahin phah uchun lengpi thei boh khat ahin sat lhauvin amani kikah ah ahin polut un chuleh kolbu thei jong Olive phung jong jaonan ahinpo lhonne.
And they entered as far as the ravine of Eschol, and cut down, from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and bare it on a pole between two, —also of the pomegranates and of the figs.
24 Hiche lai mun chu Eschort phaicham aki tin ahi. Ajeh chu Israel mihon hikomma chu lengpi thei avat u ahi.
That place, was called, The Ravine of Eschol ["Cluster-ravine"]—on account of the cluster, which was cut down from thence by the sons of Israel.
25 Ni somli jen gam le go kholchih na anei jou phat un Pasal ho chu ahung kinung le gam tauve.
And they returned from spying out the land, —at the end of forty days.
26 Tun amaho ahung ki nung le taovin Mose le Aaron kom ahin chule Israel mipi jouse jong chu Paran gamthip ma chun aum un ahi.
So they took their journey, and came in unto Moses and unto Aaron and unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel into the wilderness of Paran, towards Kadesh, —and brought back word—unto them and unto all the assembly, and showed them the fruit of the land.
27 Hichun amahon Mose jah hiti hin asei un, keiho nei nganse nauva kaga che un gam leiset vedin, hiche gam hi khoiju le bongnoi lonna chule hichengse hi gamsunga gasoh ho ahi.
And they recounted unto him, and said, We entered into the land whither thou didst send us, and surely it doth flow with milk and honey, and, this, is the fruit thereof.
28 Ahinlah hilai gamma umho chu thil bolthei na hangsan tah ahiuvin, khopi ho jong chu hoitah in aveng tup un amel’u jong alen theiyin hikomma chun Anak mite a khosa uvin ahi.
Nevertheless surely mighty, are the people that dwell in the land, —and, the cities, walled in, exceeding great, moreover also, the descendants of the Anak, saw we there.
29 Amalek mite vang noilam alouvin, hit mite ahin Amor mite ho jouse thinglhang lam aloh soh un, chuleh Cannan mite vang'in Jordan phai vadung lang tui khanglen kom lang aloh soh hellun ahi.
Amalek, dwelleth in the land of the South; And, the Hittite, and the Jebusite and the Amorite, dwell in the mountain And the Canaanite, dwelleth by the sea, and by the side of the Jordan.
30 Ahinlah Caleb in mipi ho chu aphoh thip in Mose heng lam adin ahung taovin, Caleb in hitin aseiyin, eiho che’u hitin hiche gam chu lahlut ding ngaito tauhite, ajeh chu hiche mite hi ijo teidiu ahi.
And Caleb stilled the people unto Moses, —and said unto them—Let us go straight up, and possess it, for we shall, surely prevail, against it.
31 Amavang Caleb toh gam kholle a che ho lah mi phabep loi chu anom pouvin, Anak mite ho chu eiho sanga hat jo ahiuvin, eiho Amaho chu ima ilo theilou diu ahi tin asei uve.
But the men who went up with him said, We cannot go up against the people, —for stronger, are they than we.
32 Hichun Amaho lah’a mi phabep loi chun hiche thupha lou hi Israel mite lah’a ahin sei phong uvin ahi. Gam leiset keiman ka khol chil jou pon nang ho gam neite ahat theiyun Amahon hetman louva eisuhgam jeng theiyu ahi, ati.
So they sent forth a rumour of the land which they had spied out, among the sons of Israel, saying, —As touching the land through which we passed to spy it out, it is, land that eateth up them who dwell therein, And all the people that we saw in the midst thereof, were men of great stature.
33 Keihon Anak mite chu kamu uvin amaho toh teding in eiho hi khongbai tabang bep ihiuvin Anak mite jeng in jong hitia chu eigellu ahiye.
And, there, saw we the giants, sons of Anak [descended] of the giants, —And we were in our own eyes, as grass-hoppers, And, so, were we in their eyes.
