< Nahum 2 >
1 Nagal mipan suhmang ding ngaiton ahung in, kihongphan Pasal pha pha kulpia pansah-in lang lampi vephan; chule nakong kigah in lang, nathahat pan in pang in.
Come up hath a scatterer to thy face, Keep the bulwark, watch the way, Strengthen the loins, strengthen power mightily.
2 Ajeh chu Pakaiyin Israel lal loupina banga Jacob lal loupina jong asemphat kit ding ahi; chule michomgam’a pang hon achom ngimsel’uva ahalsi sia asuh manguva amonsa alupsah-u ahitai.
For turned back hath Jehovah to the excellency of Jacob, As [to] the excellency of Israel, For emptied them out have emptiers, And their branches they have marred.
3 Chule asepai gal-hat ho chu alumu asan soh keijin, A sepaiten abonchauvin pon san-ao akisil sohkeijun. Kangtalai jouse jong meisi bang in apah lah lah-in, Galsat dia akigoltoh tenguleh akipat kal’u angah lel’ui.
The shield of his mighty ones is become red, Men of might [are in] scarlet, With fiery torches [is] the chariot in a day of his preparation, And the firs have been caused to tremble.
4 Chule kholai dunga kangtalai jouse aki hon lul lul’un, Veng ningkoi dung jousea asuh lhai atou lhaijun, Chule meikong kidevah bangin achanthe thu’uvin, chujongleh kolphe vah bangin aphelap lap’uve.
In out-places shine do the chariots, They go to and fro in broad places, Their appearances [are] like torches, As lightnings they run.
5 Chuleh vaibol’a pang ho akoukhom’uvin, ache nauva akipal lhugam tauve; chule amahon pal phungla adel loijun, asangkhol chol’u akihoh doh bangin akijal dep dop e.
He doth remember his honourable ones, They stumble in their goings, They hasten [to] its wall, and prepared is the covering.
6 Chujongleh vadung kelkot phung jouse akihong soh tan, Leng inpia mite a lungthoi soh tauve.
Gates of the rivers have been opened, And the palace is dissolved.
7 Lengnu avon asut lhauvin akai mang tauve, chuleh ajenle a pang nu-ngah ho akap kap’uvin, vahuite ham athouvin amao setsot’un, a-op achum achum jeng uvin ahi.
And it is established — she hath removed, She hath been brought up, And her handmaids are leading as the voice of doves, Tabering on their hearts.
8 Chuleh Nineveh khopi hi twikul lentah hija asunga twi jouse long kanghel tobang ahitai. “Kho ngaijin! Kho ngaijin!” tin mihonpi chun asam asam jeng uvin, koima chala akinung hei tapoi.
And Nineveh [is] as a pool of waters, From of old it [is] — and they are fleeing! 'Stand ye, stand;' and none is turning!
9 Chule dangka kichom uvin lang Sana jong kichom’uvin! thil kikhol ho hi chom joutih aum tapon, chule gou hijat thil manlu ho jong hi abei thei tapoi.
Seize ye silver, seize ye gold, And there is no end to the prepared things, [To] the abundance of all desirable vessels.
10 Hijeh chun chom uvin langchom ngimhel’un ahomsan koijun! Mihem lungthim alha lhopsoh tan, mihem khupbuh jouse akithing sohhel tai, mihem jouse akong akhasoh-in, mihem jouse maiadup soh hel tai!
She is empty, yea, emptiness and waste, And the heart hath melted, And the knees have smitten together, And great pain [is] in all loins, And the faces of all of them have gathered paleness.
11 Chule sakei bahkai ho kihenna hong chu hoilai hiya? chule sakei bahkai noute kihenna chu akosung chu hoilai ham? Sakei bahkai ten aneh diu sa akipohlut uva, asukin ding beihel’a anoute toh aneh nau chu hoilai ham?
Where [is] the habitation of lionesses? And a feeding-place it [is] for young lions Where walked hath a lion, an old lion, A lion's whelp, and there is none troubling.
12 Sakei bahkaipin anoute neh kham dingbep akitha jouvin, sakei bahkai pan jong api dingin sahing phabep akoije; Akosung jong chu sahing athasa adim set’in, chule ahong sung sahin botelsa adimset’e.
The lion is tearing parts [for] his whelps, And is strangling for his lionesses, And he doth fill [with] prey his holes, And his habitations [with] rapine.
13 Hichun thaneipen Pakai chun aseijin, vetan keima nang dou din kapang’e, chuleh na kangtalai jouse kahal vama, ameikhu ki tung let lut ding; chujong leh na sakei bahkai noute jong chemjama katha ding ahi; chule leiset chunga kona na kivah na ding sahing jouse katol mangsoh ding, nasot tol le a pang miho thusei awgin kijapha lou helding ahi.
Lo, I [am] against thee, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I have burned in smoke its chariot, And thy young lions consume doth a sword, And I have cut off from the land thy prey, And not heard any more is the voice of thy messengers!
