< Matthew 9 >

1 Chuin Yeshua kong khat'a akaldoh in chule dil chu agal kaiyin, ama khomun ahung kiletai.
And he entered into a boat, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 Mi phabep chun langthi khat alupna pum in akoma ahinpui uve. Aman atahsan'u chu amu phat in langthipa jah a chun Yeshuan, “Lung nom in, ka chapa! Na chonsetna ho kingaidam ahitai,” ati.
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick with the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said to the sick with the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven thee.
3 Hinlah Hou danthu hil phabep chu amaho le amaho aki hou un, “Hiche hi Pathen taitomna ahi! Ama Pathen a kingaitoa ham?” atiuve.
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 Yeshuan alung'uva ipi angaitou chu ahen, hijeh chun amaho adong in, “Ipi dinga chutobang lunggel gitlouna ho nalung'uva naneiyu ham?
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Why think ye evil in your hearts?
5 Nachonset ho kingaidam ahitai, tia sei, ahilouleh ‘Dingdoh in, chule lamjot in’ ti hoijoh baijo ham?”
For which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 Hijeh achu Mihem Chapan leiset chunga chonset ngaidam jouna thaneina aneiye ti photchenna kapeh ding nahiuve atin, chuin Yeshua langthipa lama akiheiyin aseiyin, “Dingdoh in, nalupna kichoiyin, chule in-a chen!” ati.
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, ( then saith he to the sick with the palsy, ) Arise, take up thy bed, and go to thy house.
7 Chuin ama chu ahung kichop doh thon, chule in-a achetai!
And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 Hiche thilsoh hin mihonpi chu alungu kichatnan alo dimtai. Chule amahon hitobang tah a thuneina nei, mihem ahinsol jeh hin Pathen avahchoi tauve.
But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, who had given such power to men.
9 Chuin Yeshua avalea ahileh, mikhat Matthew kitipa chu kai adonna muna atou amun, ajah a, “Neijuiyin chule kaseijui in pang in,” ati. Hi chun Matthew akipatdoh in anung ajuitai.
And as Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the tax office: and he saith to him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10 Chomkhat jouvin, Matthew in Yeshua le Aseijuite ho toh chun kaidong adang ho chule midang minphatna neilou chonse ho chu jin-gun in a-ina akouvin ahi.
And it came to pass, as Jesus sat eating in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 Hinlah Pharisee hon hichu amu phat un aseijuite adong un, itia na jilkung pauvin amot mot'a thusei ho toh an aneh khom ham? atiuve.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why eateth your Master with tax collectors and sinners?
12 Yeshuan hiche thu ajah phat in, “Mi damthei hon louthem angaicha pouve, ana damlou hon bou angai chauve,” ati.
But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, They that are well need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 Aman aseiben, “Tun cheuvin chule Pathen Thubun ipi asei ahi ga kihil un: Keiman khotona bou kangeh ahin, kilhaina nabol diu ahipoi. Ajeh chu keima midih a kigel ho kouva hunga kahipon, chonse ahi kihet ho bou kouva hunga kahi,” ati.
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14 Nikhat hi John Baptist seijuiho chu Yeshua henga ahung un chule adong un, ipi iti dana keiho le Pharisee hon an ka ngol jiu tobanga na seijuiten an angol lou-u hintem? atiuve.
Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but thy disciples fast not?
15 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Golvah kibolna a jin ho chun moulang toh akipa khom pet'uva alunghem'u ngaiyintem? Chuti ponte. Ahinlah moulang chu nikhat le amahoa kona kipui mang ding ahi, chutah le an angol diu ahi.”
And Jesus said to them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast.
16 “Ajeh chu koiman ponsop nem lou ahal chun ponlui abeh jipoi, achutibol le abehna chun hiche pon chu aloi-eh ding ahi.”
No man putteth a piece of new cloth to an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the tear is made worse.
17 “Chukal valin koiman lengpitwi thah chu abom luiya akoiji poi. Ajeh chu abom lui chu pohkeh intin, chule lengpitwi chu jal ding, akoina bom chu seding ahitai. Lengpitwi thah chu abom thah a ikhum leh ania huhbit a um ding ahi,” ati.
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
18 Yeshuan hiche thuho asei laiyin kikhopna in vaipopa chu ahung in chule amasanga ahung dilsun, “Kachanu tupet tah chun athi” hinlah nangma na hunga chule achunga nakhut na ngap'a ahileh nahinsah kit thei ding ahi, ahungti.
While he was speaking these things to them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19 Hiti chun Yeshua le Aseijuite chu akipatdoh un, chule amato chun akilhon un ahi.
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20 Chupet tah chun numei khat athilon tang louva gimthoh nu chu anung lama ahunge. Amanu hin apon mongkai chu ahung tham e.
And, behold, a woman, who was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21 Ajeh chu ama nun agel chu, keiman apon mongkai khu thamkha jeng jong leng kadam ding ahi, ati.
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be healed.
22 Yeshua akihei kimvel in chule aman amanu chu amuphat in ajah a, “Chanu lungthoi hih in! Natasan in nadam thengsah ahitai,” ati. Chuche pettah chun amanu chu adam paitai.
But Jesus turned himself about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee well. And the woman was healed from that hour.
23 Kikhopna vaipopa in a Yeshua alhun phat in mihonpi chu achoh thethu jeng un chule thi opna a kimut theile ging chu ajatai.
And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24 Amaho jah'a chun, “Potdoh tem un, chapang nu hi athia ahipoi, amahi a-ihmua ahibouve” ati. Hinlah mihonpi chun anuisat tauve.
He said to them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed at him.
25 Mihonpi chu polama asoldoh jouvin, Yeshua agalut in chule chapang nu chu akhut a atuh in ahileh amanu chu ahung ding dohtai.
But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26 Hiche thil kidang kibol thuthang chu agamkai pumpi'ah akithe chansoh tai.
And the fame of this went abroad into all that land.
27 Yeshuan numei chapang nu in chu adalhah jouvin, anunga mitcho minin ahinjui peh in, amanin, “David Chapa neikhoto lhon in,” tin asam lhon in ahi.
And when Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28 Amani chu aumna insunga ajuilut lhon in, Yeshuan adong in, “Keima hin khomu theina eineisah lhon ding ahi ti natahsan em?” ati. Ama nin adonbut in, henge, Pakai, katahsan lhone, tin asei lhontai.
And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith to them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said to him, Yea, Lord.
29 Chuphat in Aman amit lhon atham in, chuin, “Natahsan lhon jeh a, hung hithei ding ahi” ati.
Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it to you.
30 Chutah in amit lhon ahah in chule kho amulhon tai. Yeshuan amani agih in, “Hiiche thuhi koima seipeh lhon hih in,” ati.
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus sternly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31 Hinlah amani apotdoh lhon in chuin Amin chu agamkai kimvela aseiphong lhon tai.
But they, when they had departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
32 Amani apotdoh lhon phat'in lhagaoboh vop mikhat pao theilou chu, Yeshua koma ahin puiyuve.
As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon.
33 Hitia Yeshuan lhagaoboh chu anodoh jouvin amapa chu apao theitai. Hichu mi honpin adatmo lheh jeng uvin, “Hitobang hi Israel lah a anasoh khahih hel le,” atiuve.
And when the demon was cast out, the dumb spoke: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34 Hinlah Pharisee hon, “Aman lhagaoboh chu Lhagaoboh ho Lengpa thahat vanga anodoh ahi,” atiuve.
But the Pharisees said, He casteth out demons through the prince of the demons.
35 Yeshua chuche gamkaiya khopi tinle khoneo tin a avahlen, akikhop nau inhoa thu ahil in, chule Lenggam Kipana Thupha chu aseiphong in ahi. Chuin Aman hivei ho le ana damlou ho aboldam in ahi.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 Aman mihonpi amu phat'in, Aman amaho chu akhoto lheh e, ajeh chu amaho chu alungdong uvin chule panpi bei ahiuvin, kelngoi achingbei tobang ahiu amudoh in ahi.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they were faint, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Aman Aseijuite koma aseiyin, “Chang at ding atam lheh in, hinlah anatong ding alhom e.
Then saith he to his disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few;
38 Hijeh chun chang atna lou muna natong ding ahin soldoh theina ding in, lou neipa Pakai henga taovun,” ati.
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
