< Matthew 7 >

1 “Mi koima oimodan, chutile koiman na oimo lou ding ahi.
"Judge not, that you may not be judged;
2 Ajeh chu midang na oimona banga chu, Pathen in na oimo ding ahi. Nangman mi nabolna bang banga chu nachunga kibol ding ahi.
for your own judgement will be dealt--and your own measure meted--to yourselves.
3 Chule nangma mit a bohse hal um chu boipi louva, ibol a nasopi mit a bohse hal um chu kisah boipia nahim?
And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?
4 Ahilouleh nangma mit a bohse hal um muthei louva, nasopi jah'a keiman na mit a bohse hal um chu na lahdoh peh inge, iti nati thei ham?
Or how say to your brother, 'Allow me to take the splinter out of your eye,' while the beam is in your own eye?
5 Vo mi phalhem! Nangma mit a bohse hal um chu amasan kilah doh le chun, nagol mit a bohse hal um chu ki chentah in muthei tan nate.
Hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.
6 Uicha ho khu thil theng pe hih un, chule vohcha ho ang sunga khun twikoh chang jong lehlha hih un, chuti bol leu chun hichu akeng uvin chil'un tin chule hung kile heiyuva nangho jong nahin bah diu ahi.
"Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls to the swine; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and then turn and attack you.
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 Ajeh chu athum chan akipen, ahol chan achang uve. Chule akiu chan kot aki honpeh in ahi.
For it is always he who asks that receives, he who seeks that finds, and he who knocks that has the door opened to him.
9 Nangho minu mipa ten, na chate uvin changlhah pheng athum leh, hiche khel achu song napeh uvem?
What man is there among you, who if his son shall ask him for bread will offer him a stone?
10 Ahilouleh amahon nga thum leu, amaho chu gul nape diuvem? Napeh lou diu ahi.
Or if the son shall ask him for a fish will offer him a snake?
11 Chutia nangho chonset bol hon bon na chateu thilpha man beiya pehje nahet uva ahileh, hisanga chu gam chenga vana na Pau chun akoma thumte chu thilpha manbeiya apeh lou ding ham?
If you then, imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 Hijeh chun imalam jousea mi dang in iti nabol leu na dei uvem, hitobang chun nang hon jong bol un. Hiche hi Dan bua kisun leh Themgao ho thuhil chu ahi.”
Everything, therefore, be it what it may, that you would have men do to you, do you also the same to them; for in this the Law and the Prophets are summed up.
13 “Nangho Pathen Lenggama chu kot jima kona bou nalut thei diu ahi. Ajeh chu manthahna lam lhong chu lenpi tah ahin, chule akot jong jaotah ahin, chua lut ding kilhen'a chu mi tamtah ahiuve.
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad the road which leads to ruin, and many there are who enter by it;
14 Hinlah Hinna kot chu akichi lheh in, chule alampi jong ahah in chule mi lhomcha bouvin akimu diu ahi.”
because narrow is the gate and contracted the road which leads to Life, and few are those who find it.
15 “Na heng uva hung jia themgao lhem ho, kelngoi vona kivona ahia asunglam ngei hangtah ho chu kichih theiyun.
"Beware of the false teachers--men who come to you in sheep's fleeces, but beneath that disguise they are ravenous wolves.
16 Nanghon amaho chu agauva, tichu achon nauva kona na hetdoh thei diu ahi: Mihon lingnang lah a kona lengpi ga alo jiuva, ahilouleh ling phunga kona theichang ga alo ngai jiu vem?
By their fruits you will easily recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorns or figs from brambles?
17 Thingphung pha chun gapha asodoh in, chule thingphung phalou chun ga phalou asodoh ji ahi.
Just so every good tree produces good fruit, but a poisonous tree produces bad fruit.
18 Thingphung pha chun ga phalou asodoh theipon, chule thingphung phalouvin jong gapha asodoh theipoi.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a poisonous tree good fruit.
19 Hitia chu thingphung gapha sodoh louse chu kiphuh lhua chule mei sunga kileh lutji ahi.
Every tree which does not yield good fruit is cut down and thrown aside for burning.
20 Hijeh chun thingphung chu aga a kona hetdoh theina nanei bang un, miho chu achon nauva kona nang hon ahinau na hetdoh thei diu ahi.”
So by their fruits at any rate, you will easily recognize them.
21 “Keima, Pakai! Pakai! tia eikou tapou chu Van gam lut ding ahipoi. Vana kapa lunglhaina bol ho bou chu lut ding ahi.
"Not every one who says to me, 'Master, Master,' will enter the Kingdom of the Heavens, but only those who are obedient to my Father who is in Heaven.
22 Thutan nikho leh mitampi chun kajah a, Pakai! Pakai! Nangma min in gaothu kaseiyun, chule nangma min in thilha ho kano doh uvin, chule nangma min in thilbol theina kidang kaboldoh uve atidiu ahi.
Many will say to me on that day, "'Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Thy name, and in Thy name expelled demons, and in Thy name performed many mighty works?'
23 Hinlah keiman, ‘Nangho itih in jong kahekha pouve. Pathen dan thu palkeh a nangho, ka koma kon in potdoh'un,’ tia ka donbut diu ahi.”
"And then I will tell them plainly, "'I never knew you: begone from me, you doers of wickedness.'
24 “Kathuhil ngaiya chule jui chan chu koi hijongleh, miching songpi chunga in kisahpa tobang ahi.
"Every one who hears these my teachings and acts upon them will be found to resemble a wise man who builds his house upon rock;
25 Go hungju henlang, twi hungsoh hen chule hui hungnung henlang, hiche inchu hinsu jongleh, songpi chunga kisa ahijeh a chu lhulou ding ahi.
and the heavy rain falls, the swollen torrents come, and the winds blow and beat against the house; yet it does not fall, for its foundation is on rock.
26 Hinlah ka thuhil ngaiya ahia la juilou chan chu mingol, nel lei chunga insa tobang ahi.
And every one who hears these my teachings and does not act upon them will be found to resemble a fool who builds his house upon sand.
27 Go ahung juh a twi chu ahung soa chule hui chun hiche inchu asuh'a ahileh gimnei tah'in alhupai jeng tai,” ati.
The heavy rain descends, the swollen torrents come, and the winds blow and burst upon the house, and it falls; and disastrous is the fall."
28 Yeshuan hicheng thu aseijou vin, mipi chun athu hil kidang asalheh jeng uve.
When Jesus had concluded this discourse, the crowds were filled with amazement at His teaching,
29 Ajeh chu aman hou lamkai ho thuhil tobanga hillouvin, thunei tah in thu ahil in ahi.
for He had been teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their Scribes taught.
