Matthew 5

THEN seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain: and seating himself, his disciples came to him:
2 Chuin Ama apaodoh in amaho chu hiche thuhi ahil pan in, ajah uva asei tai.
and opening his mouth, he taught them, saying,
3 “Lhagaova vaichaho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh Van gam chu amaho'a ahi.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their’s is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Lhasetna neiho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh amaho chu lhamonga umdiu ahi.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Mi lungneng ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh ama hon leiset chung pumpi alo diu ahi.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Thudih a din jeh a gilkel dangchah thoh ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh ama hon lung nachimna anei diu ahi.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be fed to the full.
7 Mi lungset them ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh amaho chu lungsetna chang diu ahi.
Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Mi lungtheng ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh amahon Pathen amu diu ahi.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Mi sucham ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh amaho Pathen chate kiti diu ahi.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Adih boljeh a hesohna chang ho Pathen in phatthei aboh diu ahi, ijeh inem itileh Van gam chu amahoa ahi.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for their’s is the kingdom in heaven.
11 Kanung jui nahi jeh uva mihon nahouset uva, nabol hesoh uva, jouva nabol'uva chule nang ho douna a thil phalou jouse aseiteng uleh Pathen phatthei boh chang ding nahi uve.
Blessed are ye, when they shall revile and persecute you, and lying, speak every thing evil against you for my sake.
12 Nang ho kipah thanom'un chule hapan kipah uvin, ajeh chu van a nasan dingu kipaman alen e. Ajehchu amahon themgao masaho jong chu hitobanga hi anabol hesoh'u ahi.
Rejoice and exult; for plenteous is your reward in the heavens: for just so they persecuted the prophets who went before you.
13 “Nangho leiset chi nahiuve. Hinlah chi chu a alna beitaleh ipin ki alsah kit tantem? Chule ima chan phachom tapon tin, pai mang le miho chotpha bep hiding ahi.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt become insipid, with what can it be salted? it is of no farther use for any purpose, but to be cast out, and trodden under foot of men.
14 ‘Nang ho vannoi vah nahiuve, lhang vuma khopi kisel theilou tobang chu nahi uve.’
Ye are the light of the world. A city cannot be hid that is situated on an eminence.
15 Koiman thaomei avah in chujouleh lo akhu khum jipoi. Hisang chun akhom chunga aki tung in, in sunga um jouse avah chun asalvah jin ahi.
Neither do men burn a lamp, and set it under a bushel, but on its stand; and it sheds light on all that are in the house.
16 Hitobang chun navah uchu miho masang ah kilang hen, chuteng amahon na thilpha bol uchu mu uvin tin, van'a um na Pau chu avahchoi diu ahi.
Just so let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.
17 “Ipi jeh a hunga kahi nei hekhel hih un. Keima hi Mose Danbu ahilouleh themgao ho lekhajih subei dinga hung kahipoi. Asumang dinga hunga hijo louva, asubulhit a hung kahijoi.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law and the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 Tahbeh a kaseipeh nahi uve, Van le leiset aman masanga Pathen Dan thu chu aguilhun sohkei masang sea, ajem neopen le ajem sipah geiya jong mang lou ding ahi.
For I tell you assuredly, that till heaven and earth pass away, not one iota, or the smallest stroke of a letter, shall pass from the law, until all things shall be accomplished.
19 Nang man thupeh aneopen na nahsah moa chule midang jong hitia chu nahil'a ahileh, Van gama chu aneopen nahi ding ahi. Hinlah koi hijongleh Pathen Dan thu juiya chule hiche ho chu ahil'a ahileh Van gama alen kiti ding ahi.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of the least of these commandments, and teach men so, he shall be accounted the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall practise, and teach them, he shall be reckoned great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 Hinlah kahil chah nahiuve. Nangho na chonphat nau chu Dan thuhil ho le Pharisee ho sanga aphat joh louva ahileh Van gam'a chu nalut louhel diu ahi.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness abounds more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21 “Nanghon ipu ipateu jah a, ‘Tolthat hih in, koi hijong leh mithat chu thupi tanna dinga kicha jinga um ding ahi’ tia ana kiseipeh chu naja tauve.
Ye have heard that it was said to the men of antient times, “Thou shalt do no murder;” and whosoever shall commit murder, shall be liable to the judgment:
22 Hinlah keiman nangho jah a kaseipeh nahi uve, koi hijongleh khat chunga lunghanga chu athu kitan ding ahi. Nangman koiham khat chu mingol pannabei natileh thutanna mun'a kipuilut ding kicha'a um ding nahi. Nangman mi na gaosap'a ahileh Damun meidil'a kicha a um ding nahi. (Geenna g1067)
but I say unto you, That every man who is angry with his brother without cause, shall be liable to the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrim: but whosever shall say, Thou fool, shall be liable to be cast into hell fire. (Geenna g1067)
23 Hijeh chun nangman hou in a maicham thilto ding nachoiya, mi koiham khat in nangma kilung doupina nanei na geldoh a ahileh,
If therefore thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Maicham mun'a na thilto ding chu dalhan, gachen chuche mi chuto gakicham lhon in, chuteng leh hung in chule Pathen maicham'a kilhaina thilto chu napeh ding ahi.
leave there thy gift before the altar, and go: first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25 Na kidoupi chutoh thutanna mun'a dinga na kilhon pina lampia chun, agan na theiyin kihou champi jeng in. Achuti louleh themmo na chanpa chun thutan vaihompa khut a napedoh intin, ama chun amopo khat khut a peson intin, chule songkul a na khumpai ding ahi.
Be disposed to agree with thy prosecutor speedily, whilst thou art in the way with him to the bar; lest the prosecutor deliver thee up to the judge, and the judge commit thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26 Hiti chu hita henlang hileh, nangman achaina pen sum nasah chai masang sea chu itinama jongleh chua kona chu nalha ong thol kit lou ding ahitai.
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt in no wise come out from thence, till thou hast paid the last farthing.
27 “Thupeh a thu ana kiseisa, ‘Nangman jonbol hih in’ kiti hi nana ja tauve.
Ye have heard that it was said to those of old, “Thou shalt not commit adultery:”
28 Hinlah keiman kaseipeh nahi uve, koi hileh numei khat jon lunga ve achu amanu chutoh alunga jong ahitai.
but I say unto you, That every one who looketh upon a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 Hijeh chun namit chu mitpha hikhat tou jongleh hichun na kipal lhuhsah a ahileh, kaldoh in lang paimang jeng in, nangma ding in natibah khat namansah chu na tahsa pumpi damun a akilelut sang in aphajoi. (Geenna g1067)
If then thine eye, the right, leads thee to offend, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is highly for thy advantage, that one of thy members be destroyed, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
30 Chule nakhut jetlam in na chonset sah a ahileh sat lhan lang paimang jeng in. Ajeh chu nangma dinga na tahsa pumpi damun a akilelut sang in, natibah khat aman chu apha joi. (Geenna g1067)
And if thy right hand leads thee to offend, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is highly thy interest that one of thy members should be destroyed, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
31 “Danbua thu kisun, ‘Pasal in ajinu ada ding leh amanu chu dana lekha apeh a ahetsah leh ahithei jenge’ tia kisei chu naja tauve.
It hath been said indeed, That whosoever will put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorce:
32 Hinlah keiman kasei ahi, mikhat in aji chu pasal dang toh alup khom jeh tilouva thu dang jeh'a ada ahileh, amanu chu ajonsah ahitai: chule koi hi jongleh akidasa numei ki chenpia chu mi jong ahi.
But I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except on account of whoredom, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.
33 “Chule malai mite ki seipehsa thu nana jahsau chu, ‘Nangman nakihahsel na chu sukeh hih in, nangman Pakaiya naki hahselna nabulhit tei ding ahi’ kiti ahi.
Again ye have heard that it was said to those of old, “Thou shalt not perjure thyself, but shalt perform to the Lord thine oaths:”
34 Hinlah keiman kaseipeh nahi uve, imachan ki hahsel hih beh un! Van pan in ki hahsel hih un, ajeh chu van chu Pathen laltouna ahi.
But I say to thee, Swear not at all; neither by the heaven; for it is the throne of God:
35 Chule leiset pan in ki hahsel hih un, ajeh chu leiset hi akengto ngapna ahi. Chule Jerusalem pan in ki hahsel hih un, ajeh chu Jerusalem hi Leng loupi khopi ahi.
nor by the earth; for it is the footstool of his feet: nor by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King:
36 Ka luchung pan beh a kaki hahsel ding hitante ti hih in. Ajeh chu nangman na samjang khat cha jong nakan sah thei lou chule na vom sah thei poi.
neither shalt thou swear by thy head, for thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 Hinlah naki houlim nau chu ‘Henge, ka nom e ahilouleh ka nompoi’ tia sei chu hi jeng hen. Hi cheng kalval chu agi loupa a kon ahi.
But let your discourse be, Yea, yea; No, no: for all addition to these is from the wicked one.
38 “Dan thun gim bolna chu atotoh hi ding: Mit khat khel'a mi khat, chule ha khat khel'a ha khat hi ding ahi kiti chu naja tauve.
Ye have heard that it was said, “Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth:”
39 Hinlah kaseipeh nahi uve, mi gilou lethuh hih un! Koiham khat in na ngeiphe jetlam abeh'a ahileh, na ngeiphe alang khat jong dopeh in.
but I say unto you, Resist not an injurious act; but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him also the other.
40 Chule koi hileh nahehse aum a chule na sangkhol ah alah mang a ahileh na ponchol jong chu pehtha jeng tan.
And if a man will prosecute thee, and take thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 Chule sepai khat in athilpo dia nacham louva, mile khat napui leh mile ni chan gathah peh in.
And whosoever shall press thee for one mile, go with him two.
42 Na henga thum ho chu pen, chule nangma koma bat a thum chu kihei mangsan go hih in.
Give to him that asketh thee; and from him who wants to borrow of thee, turn not away.
43 “Danbu in, ‘Naheng nakom ngailun’ chule namelma chu hot bol in, tia asei chu naja tauve.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.”
44 Hinlah keiman kasei ahi, na melma teu chu ngailu uvin, na gaosap teu chu phatthei boh un, na hotbol teu ding in thilpha bol un, chule nahsah mo tah a nabol teu le na gimbol teu ding in taovun.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who treat you insolently, and persecute you;
45 Hitia na bol uchu nangho van'a um na Pau chate tahbeh nahiu kihetna ahi. Ajeh chu Aman migilou le mipha chunga nisa vah apen, chule mi dih le mi dihlou chunga jong go ajuhsah in ahi.
that ye may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for he causeth his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and tendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 Nang hon nangailu teu bou na ngailut uva ahileh, hichea chu ipi kipa man nasan diu um ding ham? Kaidong hon jong hitobang chu abolu ahi.
For if ye love those who love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same thing?
47 Nang ho nagol teu dinga bou na phat uva ahileh, midang to ipi naki kheh nau um em? Hitobang chu milim houhon jong abolu ahi.
And if ye embrace your brethren only, what do ye extraordinary? do not even the publicans so?
48 Hijeh chun van a um na Pau chamkim ahi bang in, nangho jong chamkim un” ati.
Be ye therefore perfect, as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
