< Matthew 25 >
1 “Chuti chun Van Lenggam chu mounu loiho nungah som thaomei kiken a, moulang lamto dinga kigo hotoh ki tekah ding ahi.”
"Then will the Kingdom of the Heavens be found to be like ten bridesmaids who took their torches and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 Amaho lah'a nga chu angol uvin, chule adang nga chu aching-uve.
Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
3 Nga angol ho chun athao meiyuva ding'in thao akiken bulhing pouvin ahi.
For the foolish, when they took their torches, did not provide themselves with oil;
4 Hinlah adang nga ho vang chu aching theiyuvin thao bom'a thao akiken beuvin ahi.
but the wise, besides their torches, took oil in their flasks.
5 Moulang chu ahung gei phat in, amaho aboncha uvin alulhu uvin chule a-ihmu tauve.
The bridegroom was a long time in coming, so that meanwhile they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 Jan khangkim in khosam aw chun asukhang un, “Veuvin, moulang chu ahung tai! Hungdoh un chule lamto uvin!” ati.
But at midnight there is a loud cry, "'The bridegroom! Go out and meet him!'
7 “Mounu loiho chu aboncha uvin athoudoh un, chule athaomeiyu akigot tauve.
"Then all those bridesmaids roused themselves and trimmed their torches.
8 Chuphat in adang nga angol ho chun aloi dang ho chu angah un, nathao twiyu chu phabep neipe uvin, ajeh chu kathao meiyu mitding ahitai” atiuve.
"'Give us some of your oil,' said the foolish ones to the wise, 'for our torches are going out.'
9 Hinlah adangse chun adonbut un, keihon ibon-uva dingin kanei lhing pouve. Ajohna mun khat'a gache uvin chule nang ho ding gacho uvin ati.
"'But perhaps,' replied the wise, 'there will not be enough for all of us. Go to the shops rather, and buy some for yourselves.'
10 “Ahin amaho thaotwi choa ache kah un, moulang chu ahung tai. Chuphat in kigosa umho chu amatoh golvahna in'a chun ache khom'un chule kot chu akam tauve.”
"So they went to buy. But meanwhile the bridegroom came; those bridesmaids who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet; and the door was shut.
11 Khonung in, mounu loi nga ho chu ahung phat un, polama ading un, akou-un, “Pakai! Pakai! Keidin kot hong in” atiuve.
"Afterwards the other bridesmaids came and cried, "'Sir, Sir, open the door to us.'
12 Hinlah Aman alekou vin, “Kasei hi tahsan un, Keiman nangho kahe pouve,”
"'In solemn truth I tell you,' he replied, 'I do not know you.'
13 “Hijeh chun nangho jong kihong phauvin! Ajeh chu nanghon kahung kile na ding nikho le phat chu nahe pouve,” ati.
"Keep awake therefore; for you know neither the day nor the hour.
14 “Chujongleh Van Lenggam chu mikhat khol gam latah a gajin doh toh kitekah ding ahi. Aman asohte akou khom in chule asum chu aum lou kah'a ding in amaho chu ngansena apetai.”
"Why, it is like a man who, when going on his travels, called his bondservants and entrusted his property to their care.
15 Aman khat chu dangka sumdip nga jen apen, michom khat dangka sumdip ni apen, chule anunung penpa dangka sumdip khat apen ahi. Amahon atha uvin ajokham cheh'a achan diu ahoppeh sohkei in ahi. Chujouvin ama khol jindin achetai.
To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one--to each according to his individual capacity; and then started from home.
16 “Dangka sumdip nga kilah sohpa chun asum chu aveikan in ahileh nga ma alodoh tai.”
Without delay the one who had received the five talents went and employed them in business, and gained five more.
17 Dangka sumdip ni sangpa jong chu natong in achen ahileh ni-ma alodoh betai.
In the same way he who had the two gained two more.
18 Hinlah dangka sumdip khat sangpa chun leiset ko alaiyin chuin apu sum chu avuitai.
But the man who had received the one went and dug a hole and buried his master's money.
19 Phat phabepset jouvin apupa chu akholchena'a kon in ahung kilen, chule asum chu iti amanchah uvem tin akou khom in, akholtoh in ahi.
"After a long lapse of time the master of those servants returned, and had a reckoning with them.
20 Dangka sumdip nga angan sepa chu ahung in nga-ma ahin choiben chuin aseiyin, Pu, nangman Dangka sumdip nga neipeh ahin, keiman sumdip nga-ma kamube e, ati.
The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, and said, "'Sir, it was five talents that you entrusted to me: see, I have gained five more.'
21 “Apu chun apahcha lheh jeng in, ‘Nabol aphalheh jenge Ka sohpha le tahsan umtah nahi. Hicheng sum hi tahsan um tah a nachin ahin, tua hi keiman ngen sena tamjo cheh kapeh ding nahitai. Kipah thanom khomu hite!’”
"'You have done well, good and trustworthy servant,' replied his master; 'you have been trustworthy in the management of a little, I will put you in charge of much: share your master's joy.'
22 “Dangka sumdip ni sangpa chun ahin nailut in, aseitai, ‘Pu, nangman veipung dinga neipeh Dangka sumdip nia kon in kasupung in’, ni-ma kamube e,” ati.
"The second, who had received the two talents, came and said, "'Sir, it was two talents you entrusted to me: see, I have gained two more.'
23 “Chuin apupan, nabol aphai kasohpha le tahsan umtah, nangma sum lhomcha chunga tahsan umtah nahi, hiti chun tua mopohna tamjo cheh kapeh ding nahi. Kipah thanom khom'u hite!”
"'Good and trustworthy servant, you have done well,' his master replied; 'you have been trustworthy in the management of a little, I will put you in charge of much: share your master's joy.'
24 “Chujouvin, Dangka sumdip khat sangpa chu ahung in chuin aseiyin, ‘Pu, keiman nangma hi mi gumtah nahi ti kahen, naphuna louva na atjin, chule nalho louna'a nakhom khomji ti nahina kahei.
"But, next, the man who had the one talent in his keeping came and said, "'Sir, I knew you to be a severe man, reaping where you had not sown and garnering what you had not winnowed.
25 Nasum chu mansah ding kana tijan, hijeh'a chu leinoiya kasel ahi. Ven, nasum hi kilelah kit in,’” ati.
So being afraid I went and buried your talent in the ground: there you have what belongs to you.'
26 “Hinlah apu chun adonbut in, nangma sohgilou le thase, Keiman kaphu louna'a ka-at nahet a, chule kalho louna leiya kakhop khom nahet ahileh,
"'You wicked and slothful servant,' replied his master, 'did you know that I reap where I have not sown, and garner what I have not winnowed?
27 ipi dinga kasum chu sum veipungna'a koi louva nahim? Chuti hen hileh athoi themkhatbeh toh mutha tadinga! ati.”
Your duty then was to deposit my money in some bank, and so when I came I should have got back my property with interest.
28 “Chujouvin aman thu apen, sum chu hiche sohpa a kon in ladoh uvin chule dangka sumdip som mupa koma peuvin.
So take away the talent from him, and give it to the man who has the ten.'
29 Akipe kham kham phatea amanje heho chu, atamjo cheh kipe ding, chule bu-lhingset'a anei diu ahi. Hinlah imacha bollou ho chu lhomcha anei chasun'u jong kilah mangpeh ding ahiuve.
(For to every one who has, more shall be given, and he shall have abundance; but from him who has nothing, even what he has shall be taken away.)
30 Tun, hiche soh phachom loupa hi polam muthima paidoh un, hiche muna chu kana le hagelna um ding ahi,” ati.
'But as for this worthless servant, put him out into the darkness outside: there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.'
31 “Hinlah Mihem Chapa chu aloupina'a ahung tengleh avantilte jouse chutoh, chuteng aloupina Laltouna'a tou ding ahi.
"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then will He sit upon His glorious throne,
32 Namtin jouse Ama angsunga kikhom dingu, chule aman miho chu achingpan kelcha'a kona kelngoi achom khen tobanga akhen ding ahi.
and all the nations will be gathered into His presence. And He will separate them from one another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
33 Aman akelngoite chu ajetlama akoiya chule kelcha ho chu aveilama akoi ding ahi.”
and will make the sheep stand at His right hand, and the goats at His left.
34 “Chuteng Lengpa chun jetlam'a ho koma chu, ‘Hung un, Kapa phattheina changho, vannoi kisema pat nangho dinga kigongsa lenggam chu hunglo tauvin.’”
"Then the King will say to those at His right, "'Come, my Father's blessed ones, receive your inheritance of the Kingdom which has been divinely intended for you ever since the creation of the world.
35 Ajeh chu keima kagil anakel in chupet in nanghon an nei peuve. Kadang ana chah in, chupet in nang hon don ding neina peuve. Keima maljin kanahin, chupet in nanghon na'inuva, neina puilut uve.
For when I was hungry, you gave me food; when I was thirsty, you gave me drink; when I was homeless, you gave me a welcome;
36 Sagohkeu kanahin, chupet in nanghon kavon ding neipeuve. Songkul'a kaum in chupet in nanghon neihung vil uve, ati ding ahi.
when I was ill-clad, you clothed me; when I was sick, you visited me; when I was in prison, you came to see me.'
37 “Chutengleh michonpha ho chun, ‘Pakai, itih'a nagilkel kamu uva, chupet'a kavah vauham? Ahilouleh nadangchah'a chu donding ipi kapeh uvem?
"'When, Lord,' the righteous will reply, 'did we see Thee hungry, and feed Thee; or thirsty, and give Thee drink?
38 Chule maljin nahi kamu uva, kajenphat nau um'em? Ahilouleh sagoh keova nauma, ponsil ding kapeh uvem?
When did we see Thee homeless, and give Thee a welcome? or ill-clad, and clothe Thee?
39 Itih'a nanat kamu uva chule songkul'a naum itih'a kamu uva kahungvil uvem?’” atidiu ahi.
When did we see Thee sick or in prison, and come to see Thee?'
40 “Chuteng Lengpa chun, thu tahbeh kaseipeh nahiuve, kasopi ho lah'a aneopen nabol nau chu, nanghon keima neibolnau ahi.”
"But the King will answer them, "'In solemn truth I tell you that in so far as you rendered such services to one of the humblest of these my brethren, you rendered them to myself.'
41 “Chutah le Lengpan aveilama umho lam angat'a asei ding, Chemang un, gaosap chang ho, Diabol le lhagao boh ho dinga gotsa kikoi tonsot meidil'a lut un. (aiōnios )
"Then will He say to those at His left, "'Begone from me, with the curse resting upon you, into the Fire of the Ages, which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels. (aiōnios )
42 Ajeh chu kagil akel'in chupet in nanghon an neinehsah pouve. Kadang achah in chupet in nanghon don ding jong neipe pouve.
For when I was hungry, you gave me nothing to eat; when thirsty, you gave me nothing to drink;
43 Maljin kana hin chupet in nanghon na'in uva neipui lut pouve. Sagohkeo kanahin, nanghon ponsil neinapepouve. Kana dammo in chule songkul'a kaumin, chupet in nanghon neivil pouve.”
when homeless, you gave me no welcome; ill-clad, you clothed me not; sick or in prison, you visited me not.'
44 “Chutengleh amahon adonbut-uva, ‘Pakai keihon itih'a nagilkel kamu'uva ahilouleh nadangchah kamu'uva, maljin nahia ahilouleh nanat a, songkul'a nalut a chule kapanpi lounau um'em?’” tia aseidiu ahi.
"Then will they also answer, "'Lord, when did we see Thee hungry or thirsty or homeless or ill-clad or sick or in prison, and not come to serve Thee?'
45 “Chutengleh aman amaho chu adonbut a, Keiman thudihtah kasei ahi, nanghon kasopite lah'a aneopen napanhunom lounau chu keima neijen nom lou u kahetna ahi.
"But he will reply, "'In solemn truth I tell you that in so far as you withheld such services from one of the humblest of these, you withheld them from me.'
46 Chuteng amaho chu tonsot gimbolna a lutding'u, hinlah michonpha ho vang chu Tonsot Hinna'a lut diu ahi,” ati. (aiōnios )
"And these shall go away into the Punishment of the Ages, but the righteous into the Life of the Ages." (aiōnios )
