< Matthew 15 >
1 Pharisee ho le Houdan thuhil ho phabep chu Jerusalem a konin Yeshua kimupi din ahung lhungpai tauve.
Then some Scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,
2 Amahon Ama adong un, “Iti dana naseijui hon chondan luipeh ajuilou uham? Ajeh chu amahon neh khom masanga khutsop chonna isah louva akoiyu ham?” atiuve.
"Why do your disciples keep transgressing the tradition of the elders by not washing their hands before eating?"
3 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Achutileh nanghon iti dan a Pathen in Thupeh apeh chu na chonnau jui man'a nahsah lou nahiu vem?
"And why do you also keep transgressing the command of God by your tradition?" he asked.
4 Avetsahnan, Pathen in, nanu le napa jabol in, chule koi hijongleh apa ahilouleh anu jalou tah'a houva chu kithat ding ahi.
"For God said, Honor your father and mother, and, Let him who reviles father or mother be put to death;
5 Hinlah nanghon miho chun anu leh apa koma, ‘kapanhu joupoi’ tia aseidiu chu aphai natiuve. Ajeh iham itileh nangho kapeh diu pen chu Pathen a kapeh ding in kaki temtai natisah uve.
but you say that whoever tells his father or mother, ‘Whatever of mine might have been of service to you is dedicated to God,’
6 Hitia hi nanghon apa le anuteu ajabol diu angai khohpoi natiuve. Hiti hin nang hon Pathen Thu chu na chonnau dan'in na pailha tauve.
is in no way bound to honor his father. Thus do you make void the word of God by your tradition!
7 Vo mi phalhem ho! Isaiah chun nangho thu gaova anaseisa chu adih e, ajeh chu aman,
Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, saying.
8 Hiche mite hin akam uvin keima eijabol'un, hinlah alung sungu keiya kon in gam latah ahi.
This is a people that honors me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.
9 Eihou-u jong bolthu ahibouve, ajeh chu amahon mihem lung suhtoa agelu chu Pathen Thupeh in ahiluvin ahi,” ati.
In vain do they worship me, While they teach doctrines that are the commands of men."
10 Chuphat in Yeshuan mi honpi chu ahung'uva chule ajah diuvin akou khom in, Aman, “Ngaiyun chule hetkhen na neiyuvin.
Then Jesus called the people to him and said.
11 Nasung uva lut chun nasuboh pouve ti heuvin; nakam uva kona hung potdoh thu joh chun nasuhboh'u ahi” ati.
"Listen, and pay attention. It is not what goes into a man’s mouth that defiles him, but what comes out of it, that defiles the man."
12 Chujouvin seijui ho chu akoma ahung un chule adong uvin, “Tua nathusei chun Pharisee ho alung nopmo sah chu nagel doh em?” atiuve.
Then his disciples came to him and said, "Do you know that the Pharisees were scandalized when they heard that saying?" He replied.
13 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Kapan aphu lou thingphung kiphut chan chu abula kibot doh ding ahi.
"Any plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
14 Hijeh chu limsah hih un. Amaho mitcho le mitcho kilam hil ahiuve. Chule mitcho khat chun achom dang khat alam hila ahileh, ani lhona kokhuh'a lhalut talou ding ham?” ati.
"Let them alone. They are blind men leading the blind; and if one blind man leads another, both of them will fall into a ditch."
15 Chutah in Peter in Yeshua jah a, “Mihon aneh uva akisu bohpoi nati thulem chu neihil chen un,” ati.
Then Peter said to Jesus, "Explain the parable to us."

He answered. "Are even you still without understanding?
17 “Naneh'u chu gilpia alut in chule posona ah aki thadoh jitai.
"Do you not know how all that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is afterward evacuated;
18 Hinlah na thusei chu nakama kona hung potdoh'a ahi. Hichun nasuh boh'u ahi.
while what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart - and that is what defiles a man.
19 Ajeh chu lungsunga kona lunggel phalou ho, toltha, jonthan hoi, huh lungput, guchat, jousei chule miseiset.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murder, adultery, unchastity, theft, perjury, slander.
20 Hichengse hin nasuhboh'u ahi. Khutsop louva anneh hin nasuhboh'u ahi poi,” ati.
These are the things that defile a man; to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."
21 Chujouvin Yeshuan Galilee chu adalhan chuin Tyre le Sidon gamkai sahlama agache toutai.
Jesus then left that place, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Chidang namdang numei khat chuche muna chun ahung in, angeh in, “O Pakai, David Chapa, nei lungset in! Ajeh chu kachanu hi lhagao phalouvin atomin asugim lheh jenge,” ahung ti.

But he answered her not a word. Then the disciples came up and kept beseeching him. "Send her away," they said, "because she wails after us."
24 Chuphat in Yeshuan numeinu jah a, “Keima amang thai kelngoi Israel mi (Pathen mite) henga bou eikisol ahi,” ati.
In reply he said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

27 Amanun adonbut in, “Hichu adih ahi. Hinlah Pakai, uicha hon jong apute dokhanga kona anmal lhajah aneh diu phalpeh ahi,” ati.
"True, Lord," she said, "but even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table."
28 Yeshuan, “Lungset umnu, natahsan alene. Thil nathum chu sanpeh na hitai,” tin aseipeh e. Chule achanu chu apettah in adamtai.
Then Jesus answered her. "O woman, great is your faith. It shall be for you even as you desire." And from that hour her daughter was healed.
29 Yeshua Galilee twikhanglen a ahung kilen, chule mol chunga akaldoh in, chuin atoutai.
On leaving that place Jesus went along the shore of the Sea of Galilee; and after climbing a hill, took his seat there.

so that the crowd wondered when they saw the dumb speaking, the cripples walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Chujouvin Yeshuan aseijui ho akou khom in, ajah uvah, “Hiche mihonpi hi ka khoto'e. Amaho hi hiche muna hi keimato ni thum jen um ahitauve. Chule amahon aneh diu imacha khendoh anei pouve. Amaho hi gilkel'a soldoh ding kanompoi, achuti louva ahileh lampia lhasampa a alhuhkam diu ka nompoi,” ati.
But Jesus called his disciples to him and said. "My heart yearns over the crowd, for they have been with me now three days, and they have nothing to eat. I am not willing to send them away hungry, for fear they faint on the road."
33 Seijuihon adonbut uvin, “Mi honpi hibang loma tam hi aneh diu gamthip muna hi hoiya ilah diu ham?” atiuve.
"In a lonely place like this," asked the disciple. "where can we get bread enough to satisfy such a crowd?"

And all ate and were satisfied, and of the fragments that remained they gathered seven large basketfuls.

And those who ate numbered four thousand, besides the women and children.

When he had sent the crowds away, he got into the boat and came into the region of Magadan.
