< Matthew 11 >

1 Yeshuan hichenga seijui som le ni ho thu ahil jouvin, gamkai pumpia khopi hoa thuhil le lhangsam ding in aki patdoh tai.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
2 Songkul a um John Baptist chun Messiah thil bol jouse thudol ajatan ahi. Hiti hin aseijuite ho chu asol in Yeshua aga dohsah in,
Now when John had heard in the prison of the works of the Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
3 “Keihon kanga jingu Messiah chu nahi hitam, ahilouleh midang kanga be nahlai dingu ham?” atiuve.
and said to him: Art thou he that was to come, or must we look for another?
4 Yeshuan amaho chu aseipeh in, “John henga kile kit un chule nathujah hou le namusa hou hi gaseipeh un,
And Jesus answered and said to them: Go and tell John what you hear and see.
5 mitchon kho amun, elbaiyin lam ajot in, miphah ho angim un, na ngong in kho ajan, athisa kai thouvin aum in chule mi vaicha Kipana Thupha seipeh ahi.
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them;
6 Chule ajah a ‘Keima jeh a kihei mang lou mi chu Pathen in phatthei na apei’ tiuvin,” ati.
and blessed is he that shall find in me no cause of offense.
7 John seijui hon adalhah phat un, Yeshuan achungchang thu mi honpi chu ahoulim pin, “Koi itobang mi gave dinga gamthip achu gachea nahiu ham? Ama pumpeng detlou hui anun chan a kilon lele tobang bep chu ham?
As these were going away, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
8 Ahilouleh pon man lutah a kivon a hintem? Ahipoi, pon man lutah a kivon ho khu leng inpia aum uve.
But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings houses.
9 Themgao kimupi noma nahi uvem? Henge, chule ama themgao sanga chungnung joa ahi.
But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
10 John chung chang thu hi Pathen Thubun asei, ‘Ven keiman na masanga palai khat ka solin chule ama chun na masanga na lampi ding nagon peh ding ahi.’
For this is he of whom it is written: Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
11 “Thutah kaseipeh nahiuve, mi hing jouse lah a Twilutsah John sanga chung nung jo ding aumpoi.
Verily, I say to you, Among those born of women, there has not risen a greater than John the Immerser. But the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 Twilutsah John in thu asei phonga pat tu chan geiyin, Van gam chu gum hachang in amachal in, chule migilou hon hichu anokhum jing uve.
From the days of John the Immerser till now, the kingdom of heaven is taken by violence, and men of violence seize upon it eagerly.
13 Ajeh chu John hung masanga kipat, themgao ho jouse le Mose Dan chun tulai phat hi agaldot uve.
For all the prophets and the law prophesied till John;
14 Chule keiman kasei hi nakisan theiyuva ahileh, amahi Themgao hon aseiyu ahung ding Elijah chu ahi.
and if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah that was to come.
15 Koi hileh thu ngaina ding nakol neiho chun ngaiyu hen chule hekhen uhen!
He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 “Tulai khang mi tehi ipitoh ka tekah ding ham? Kai lhang muna chapang ki chemho toh tekah thei ahiuve. Amahon agolte koma nopmo sahna aphongdoh uve.
But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling to their companions,
17 ‘Keihon golvahna la kasah peh uvin, hinlah nangho nalam pouve chule thi opna la kasah peh uvin, hinlah nangho nalung hem pouve.’
and saying: We have played on the pipe for you, and you have not danced; we have wailed for you, and you have not lamented.
18 Ajeh chu John in neh le don in phat anei pon, chuin nang hon ama chu lhagaoboh vop ahi natiuve.
For John came, neither eating nor drinking, and they say: He has a demon.
19 Alang khat in, Mihem Chapan aneh a chule adona ahileh, amahi milop le julop ahi natiuve, chule kaidong ho le mi chonse ho jol le gol ahibouve, natiuve. Hinlah chihna hi aga hon adihna avetsah joh ahi,” ati.
The Son of man has come eating and drinking, and they say: Behold, a glutton, and a drinker of wine, a friend of publicans and sinners. Yet wisdom is vindicated by her children.
20 Chuti chun Yeshuan melchih na kidang abolna khopi ho chu phongtah in themmo achan in ahi, ajeh chu amaho achonset nauva kon in alung hei pouvin chule Pathen lama amai ahei pouvin ahi.
Then he began to reprove the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent.
21 “Chorazin le Bethsaida, itobang lungkham nan nahin pha diuvem? Ajeh chu thilbol kidang naheng uva kibol hohi Tyre le Sidon a kibol hita leh, masang peh chun achonset nauva kon in lung heiyun tin, akisih nau chun khaodip pon kivon uvin tin chule aluchung uvah vutvai kinu tau vinte.
Alas for thee, Chorazin! alas for thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works which have been clone in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 Kaseipeh nahiuve, thupi kitan nikho tengleh Tyre le Sidon thoh ding chu athoh nomjo hi ding ahi.
But I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon, in the day of judgment, than for you.
23 Chule nangho Capernaum mite, nangho vangam a kijabol dinga kigel nahi uvem? Chuti ponte, nangho mithi lah a ki puisuh ding nahi uve. Ajeh chu melchih na nalah uva kibol hohi Sidon'a ana kibol hitaleh, tuni chan geiya hi um diu ahi. (Hadēs g86)
And thou, Capernaum, that hast been exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hades. For if the mighty works which have been done in thee had been done in Sodom, it would have remained till this day. (Hadēs g86)
24 Ka seipeh nahi uve, Sodom jeng jong chu thupi kitan nikhoa nangho sanga phajo ding ahiuve,” ati.
But I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment, than for thee.
25 Hiche pet chun Yeshua hitin ataove, “Hepa, Van le Leiset Pakai, mi chingho le thil hetheiya kigel ho henga hicheng thil ho na selguh a chule chapang banga lunggel ho henga na hetsah jeh in ka thangvah e.
At that time Jesus answered and said: I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes.
26 Henge, Pa, nang man hiti lama bol ding chu na lunglhai na ahi.
Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 Ijakai ka-Pan einganse ahitai. Pa tailou koiman Chapa chu ahe tahbeh poi chule Chapan aki phondohna Chapa tailou koiman Pachu ahe tahbeh pouve.”
All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son, but the Father; nor does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
28 Chutah in Yeshuan, “Thachol ho le pohgih hahsa poho ka henga hung uvin, chutileh Keiman olsah uvinge.
Come to me, all you that are weary, and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Ka namkol jon kilah uvin kibu uvin. Keiman Kahil ding nahi uve, ajeh chu Keima nunnem tah le lungneng tah kahi chule nalung un lung olna amu ding ahi.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.
30 Ajeh chu ka namkol jon poh hi abaiyin chule ka pohsah got hi ajang e,” ati.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
