< Mark 8 >
1 Hiche laichun mipi ho chu atamlheh jengtan chule neh ding ima aneilou jeh un Yeshuan aseijuite chu akouvin ajah uva,
In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples, and saith to them,
2 “Mi honpi hi kakoma aumnau nithum ahitan, amahon nehding ima aneipouve,
I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
3 Chule annelouvin a-inlam chan uva solleng lampia lhasampa ding ahiuve. Akimkhat hi gamlatah a kon hung ahiuve,” ati.
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from a distance.
4 Aseijuiten adonbut un, “Hikom gamthip laiya mi hichengpi lhingset'a vahna ding changlhah kon hoiya alahding ham?” atiuvin ahi.
And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these [men] with bread here in the wilderness?
5 Yeshuan adongin, “Changlhah pheng ijat naneiyum?” ati leh, “Pheng sagi aum e,” atiuvin ahi.
And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
6 Chuin Aman mihonpi chu tolla tou din asolin, changlhah pheng sagi chu alan, athangvah-in, chujouvin ahehbalbalin a-angsunguva luipeh dingin aseijuite chu apen, amahon mipi anga chun aluipeh-ui.
And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before [them]; and they set [them] before the people.
7 Chule aseijuiten nga neochacha phabep khat jong aneiyun, hijong chu phatthei aboh-in a-angsunguva luipeh dingin asoltan ahi.
And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before [them].
8 Chuin amahon aneuvin, avasoh keiyun, anehmoh-u anong aval chu longkai sagi alohdoh-un ahi.
So they ate, and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that were left, seven baskets.
9 Amaho chu numei-chapang simlouvin mi sangli jen ahiuvin, anehva jouvun Yeshuan in lamah asoltauve.
And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he dismissed them.
10 Phat chomkhat jouvin, Ama aseijuite toh konga alutpaiyun, Dalmanutha gam alhung tauve.
And forthwith he entered into a boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
11 Pharisee hon Yeshua ahunglhung taiti ajah phatnun, kinelkalpi dingin ahungun ahi. Athuneina photchenna dingin van'a kon melchihna avetsah diuvin angeh-un ahi.
And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
12 Chuin alungsungah akhoisan, “Tukhang mite hin ibol a melchihna ahol uham? Tahbeha kasei ahi, hiche tukhang mite hi imacha melchihna kipelou ding ahi,” atitai.
And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Verily I say to you, There shall no sign be given to this generation.
13 Chuin amaho chu adalhan, konga alut kit'in, langkhat panga dingin akipat dohtai.
And he left them, and entering into the boat again, departed to the other side.
14 Hinlah aseijuiten changlhah kipoh ding ahin haimil tauve. Konga chunla changlhah phengkhat tailou adang aum hihhel in ahi.
Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the boat with them more than one loaf.
15 Chuin Aman amaho chu ahilchah-in, “Chingtheiyun, Pharisee ho le Herod chol lah-a kihongpha uvin,” ati.
And he charged them saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and [of] the leaven of Herod.
16 Hiche aseiya kon chun changlhah ahin poh haimil jeh-un amaho akihoulimun, akioimoto uvin ahi.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have no bread.
17 Akihounau chu Yeshuan ahen, ajah uva, “Changlhah naneilou jeh uva ibola kioimoto le nahiuvem? Tugeiya nalunguva hedoh loulai nahiuvem? Hetthemna dinga nalungu hibangloma tah lheh jeng ham?
And when Jesus knew [it], he saith to them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
18 Mit neiyuva—mutheilou nahiuvem? Nakhang neiyuva—jatheilou nahiuvem? Gel jong nagel dohlou monguham?
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
19 Mi sang-nga changlhah pheng nga kahoppeh-a chu amoh-ahal paipeh ijat nalodimum?” atileh amahon, “Somleni ahi,” atiuvin ahi.
When I divided the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
20 Mi sangli lah-a changlhah pheng sagi kihoppeh-a chu nehmoh aval longkai ijat nalodimum? ati kit leh, “Sagi ahi,” atiuvin,
And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 “Achutile tugeiya jong hedoh loulai nahiu ham?” atin ahi.
And he said to them, How is it that ye do not understand?
22 Amaho Bethsaida alhun phat'un, mi phabep in mitchopa chu Yeshua henglama ahin puiyun, chule amahon atohkhah-a adamsah din angeh-uvin ahi.
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him, and besought him to touch him.
23 Yeshuan mitchopa chu akhut in atuh-in, khosunga konin apuidohtan ahi. Chuin amit a achil aset in achunga akhut angam in, “Tua hi kho namum?” tin adongin ahi.
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught.
24 Mipa chun akimvel dung aven, “Henge, miho kamun, ahinla kichentah'in ka muthei poi, thingphungte chat lele tobang'in kamui,” ati.
And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees walking.
25 Chujouvin amit akhut'in atham kit'in, ave changmelin ahileh adamhel jengtan, ima jouse kichentah'in amu thei tan ahi.
After that, he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 Yeshuan ama asoldoh in, “Khosunga chun lutpa tahih-in,” tin akham'in ahi.
And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town.
27 Yeshua le aseijuiten Galilee gam adalha uvin, Caesarea Philippi koma khohoa chun ache leuvin ahi. Lampia alamjot laiyun thu adongin, “Keima hi mihon koi ahi eitiuvem?” ati leh,
And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, Who do men say that I am?
28 Aseijuiten, “Loikhat in John Baptist, loikhat in Elijah chule loikhat kit chun Nangma hi themgaoho lah a achom khat hinte atiuve,” tin adonbut uve.
And they answered, John the Baptist: but some [say], Elijah; and others, One of the prophets,
29 Chuin Yeshuan, “Ahileh nanghonla keihi koi ahi neitiuvem?” tia adoh leh, Peter in, “Nangma Messiah chu nahi,” ati.
And he saith to them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
30 Ahinlah Yeshuan koimacha koma aseidohlou beh diuvin ahilchahtan ahi.
And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
31 Chuin Aman amaho chu Mihem Chapan thohgimna tamtah athoh-a, vaipo upa hole thempu pipuho chule danthu sunhon adoudal diu thuho aseipeh-e. Chule thalih-a auma, nithum jouleh thoudoh kit teiding ahi chu ahil pantan ahi.
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 Aman hichu phongtaha aseijuite koma asei jinglaiyin, Peter in apuidohin hitobang thuho chu aseilou din angeh-in ahi.
And he spoke that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
33 Ahin Ama akiheiyin, aseijuiteho aven Peter chu aphoh-in, “Kanung lama chen, Satan! Nangman Pathen thulam gellouvin, mihem thulam jeng nagele,” atin ahi.
But when he had turned about, and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savorest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.
34 Chuin Aman aseijuiho le mihonpi chu ahenglama akouvin, “Nalah-uva koi hijongleh eijui noma chun, nacham chonnauva kon'a nahung kiheiyuva, na thingpel nakiput uva, chule neijui dingu ahi.
And when he had called the people [to him] with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 Ijeh inem itileh koi hile ahinna huhhing nom'a chun alhaso ding ahi. Amavang koi hile keima jal le Kipana Thupha jal'a ahinna lhaso'a chun akihuhhing joh ding ahi.
For whoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 Ijeh-inem itileh min vannoi pumpi neihenlang ahinna chan taleh, ipi phatchomna anei ding ham?
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul:
37 Min ahinna khel'a ipi apeh dingham?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Ijeh inem itileh koihileh tulai chonthanhoinale chonsetna khanga keima le kathuhil jachatpi chu Mihem Chapan jong apa loupina-a vantil thengtetoh ahung nileh, amapa chu ajachatpi ding ahi,” ati.
Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also will the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
