< Mark 10 >
1 Chuin Yeshuan Capernaum adalhan chua kon in Judah gamkol sung leh, Jordan Lui solam gamkaiyah ache suhtan ahi. Mi honpi chu ahenga ahung kikhom kit tauvin, chuti chun Aman amaho chu thu ahilkittan ahi.
Soon on His feet once more, He enters the district of Judaea and crosses the Jordan: again the people flock to Him, and ere long, as was usual with Him, He was teaching them once more.
2 Chua chun Pharisee ho mi phabep ahenga ahung un mochan theina dinga kipalsahna ding in, “Pasal in aji ada hi danngai hinam?” tin thudoh ahung neiyui.
Presently a party of Pharisees come to Him with the question--seeking to entrap Him, "May a man divorce his wife?"
3 Yeshuan athudoh-u chu adonbut in, “Mose'n nang ho jida thua danthu itobang napeh uvem?” tia adoh leh,
"What rule did Moses lay down for you?" He answered.
4 Amahon, “Da ding aphalnai. Mi khat'in aji adana dia lekhasut apeh lut'a, chule amanu chu asoldoh thei ahi, tin aseiye,” atiuvin ahi.
"Moses," they said, "permitted a man to draw up a written notice of divorce, and to send his wife away."
5 Chuin Yeshuan adonbutnan: “Nang ho lungtah behseh jeh'a hitia chu dan nahin ngaijang peh-u ahibouve.
"It was in consideration of your stubborn hearts," said Jesus, "that Moses enacted this law for you;
6 Ahivang in semtila pat'a Pathen in pasal le numei anasem ahitai.
but from the beginning of the creation the rule was, 'Male and female did God make them.
7 Hichun ipijeh'a pasal in anulepa adalhah-a ajia beh ham ti avetsah-in,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cling to his wife,
8 Chule ama ni chu pumni hitalouva pumkhat, tahsa khat hilhon ding ahi tai.
and the two shall be one'; so that they are two no longer, but 'one.'
9 Hijeh chun Pathen gopsa chu mihemin sukhen hih hen,” ati.
What, therefore, God has joined together let not man separate."
10 Phat chomkhat jouvin, aseijuite toh insunga amaho bou aumpet'un, hiche thuhi ahin podoh kit'un,
Indoors the disciples began questioning Jesus again on the same subject.
11 Aman aseipeh-in, “Koihileh aji da-a jidang neichun ajinu chu ajonsan ahi.
He replied, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman, commits adultery against the first wife;
12 Numeiyin jong apasal ada-a midang toh akichen leh amanu jong chu ajong ahi,” ati.
and if a woman puts away her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
13 Nikhat hi minu mipate phabep khat'in achateu chu Yeshuan atham'a phatthei aboh diuvin ahin puiyun ahileh, aseijuiten anajadauvin ahi.
One day people were bringing young children to Jesus for Him to touch them, but the disciples interfered.
14 Yeshuan hichu ajah phat in aseijuite chunga alung phamon, ajah uva aseiyin, “Chapang neocha ho chu kahenga hung sah'un, jahda hih-un! Ijeh-inem iti leh Pathen Lenggam chu amaho tobang hoa bou ahi.
Jesus, however, on seeing this, was moved to indignation, and said to them, "Let the little children come to me: do not hinder them; for to those who are childlike the Kingdom of God belongs.
15 Tahbeh'a kaseipeh nahiuve, koihileh chapang neoho banga Pathen Lenggam sanglou chu itinama jongleh hichea chu lutlou ding ahi,” ati.
In solemn truth I tell you that no one who does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will by any possibility enter it."
16 Chuin chapangho chu apomin akhut achung uva angam'in phatthei abohtai.
Then He took them in His arms and blessed them lovingly, one by one, laying His hands upon them.
17 Chuin Ama Jerusalem lang jon'a ache ding konin mi khat ahung lhaijelin a-angsungah adilsun, ajah-ah, “Houhil pha, tonsot hinkemlou kanei theina dinga ipi kabol ding ham?” ati. (aiōnios )
As He went out to resume His journey, there came a man running up to Him, who knelt at His feet and asked, "Good Rabbi, what am I to do in order to inherit the Life of the Ages?" (aiōnios )
18 Yeshuan, “Ibola apha neitiham? Pathen khatseh tailou koima apha aumpoi,
"Why do you call me good?" asked Jesus in reply; "there is no one truly good except One--that is, God.
19 Ahin, nathudoh donbutna dingin Thupeh chengse: Tolthat hih-in, Jonbol hih-in, gucha hih-in, dohan mi bol hih-in, nanu-napa jabolin, ti chu nahetai,” ati.
You know the Commandments--'Do not murder;' 'Do not commit adultery;' 'Do not steal;' 'Do not lie in giving evidence;' 'Do not defraud;' 'Honour thy father and thy mother.'"
20 Hichun khangdongpan, “Houhil, hichengse chu kachapan laiya pat kahin nitpeh ahitai,” ati.
"Rabbi," he replied, "all these Commandments I have carefully obeyed from my youth."
21 Chuin Yeshuan amachu aven, angailu lheh jenge. Adonbutnan, “Thil khat nabat nalaiye, chen lang nanei chengse gajoh-in langvaicha gentheiho gahoppehtan, chutileh vangou nanei ding ahi. Chuleh hungin lang kanung juiyin,” ati.
Then Jesus looked at him and loved him, and said, "One thing is lacking in you: go, sell all you possess and give the proceeds to the poor, and you shall have riches in Heaven; and come and be a follower of mine."
22 Chucheng asei ajah phat'in amai athim jengtan, gou haotah ahijehin lungnom motah in achemangtan ahi.
At these words his brow darkened, and he went away sad; for he was possessed of great wealth.
23 Chuin Yeshuan aseijuite avekimvelin, “Mihao theiho hi Pathen gam'a alut diu iti hahsat hitam!” ati.
Then looking round on His disciples Jesus said, "With how hard a struggle will the possessors of riches enter the Kingdom of God!"
24 Athusei chu aseijuiten adatmo lheh-uve, ahinlah Yeshuan asei kit'in, “Chateho, Pathen Lenggama luttheina ding hi thil hahsatah jong ahi,
The disciples were amazed at His words. Jesus, however, said again, "Children, how hard a struggle is it for those who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God!
25 Tahbehin, mihaoho Pathen Lenggam alut sangin sangongsang heo-bil hom'a alut ding abaijoi!” ati.
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."
26 Amahon kidang asalheh jengun, “Achuti ahileh koi huhhing'a umjou ding ham?” atiuvin ahi.
They were astonished beyond measure, and said to one another, "Who then can be saved?"
27 Yeshuan amaho aven, “Mihem dingin hitheihih jongleh Pathen dingin ahimo aumpoi,” ati.
Jesus looking on them said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for everything is possible with God."
28 Chuin Peter ahung paodohin, “Keihon ijakai kadalhauvin nanung kahin juitauve,” ati.
"Remember," said Peter to Him, "that we forsook everything and have become your followers."
29 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Henge, ahinai. Chuleh tahbeha kaseipeh nahiuve, keima jal le Kipana Thupha jal'a a-in, asopi pasalho, asopi numei ho, anu, apa, achate chule anei-agou dalha hon,
"In solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that there is no one who has forsaken house or brothers or sisters, or mother or father, or children or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the Good News,
30 Ajatja-a in le lou, sopi pasal, sopi numei, nulepa, chate chuleh nei le gou—bolsetna thohpum puma akisan ding ahi. Chuleh khonung hinkhoa tonsot hinkemlou anei ding ahi. (aiōn , aiōnios )
but will receive a hundred times as much now in this present life--houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands--and persecution with them--and in the coming age the Life of the Ages. (aiōn , aiōnios )
31 Amavang tua athupipenho hung thupimo pen intin, tua thupimo penho hung thupipen tante,” ati.
But many who are now first will be last, and the last, first."
32 Hichun Jerusalem jonin achetou tauvin, Yeshua chu amasanguva achen ahileh aseijuiten adatmo lheh jeng uvin, chuleh anung uva cheho chu kichatnan adimuvin ahi. Aseijui somleni ho apangin achesah-in, hichun khonunga Ama chunga hunglhung ding thuho aseipeh kittan ahi.
They were still on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; they were full of wonder, and some, though they followed, did so with fear. Then, once more calling to Him the Twelve, He began to tell them what was about to happen to Him.
33 “Veuvin, Jerusalem jonin ichetauve, chukoma chu Mihem Chapa hi thempu pipui hole danthu sunho khut'a pehdoh-a umding, chule amaho chun athina dinga themmo achansah uva hiding nam dangte khut'a apehdoh dingu,
"See," He said, "we are going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the High Priests and the Scribes. They will condemn Him to death, and will hand Him over to the Gentiles;
34 Chuleh amaho chun a-el ela aboluva chil asetkhum dingu, avoh-uva chuleh atha dingu, chuleh nithum jouleh ama thoudoh kit ding ahi,” ati.
they will insult Him in cruel sport, spit on Him, scourge Him, and put Him to death; but on the third day He will rise to life again."
35 Chuin James le John, Zebedee chateni ahung lhonin akihoulimpi lhonin, “Houhil, kathum lhon neibolpeh tei lhon in,” atilhon e.
Then James and John, the sons of Zabdi, came up to Him and said, "Rabbi, we wish you would grant us whatever request we make of you."
36 Yeshuan, “Nathum lhon chu ipiham?” ati leh,
"What would you have me do for you?" He asked.
37 Amanin, “Naloupina'a natou tengle khat najet lamah khat naveiyah neitousah lhonin,” atilhon tai.
"Allow us," they replied, "to sit one at your right hand and the other at your left hand, in your glory."
38 Hichun Yeshuan, “Nathum lhon nakihet lhon poi! Keiman chomkhat joule kahin don ding thohgimna khon khachep'a chu nadon ngapchat lhon ding hinam? Thohgimna twilut'a kachan ding chu nachan ngam lhon ding hinam?” tin adongtai.
"You know not," said He, "what you are asking. Are you able to drink out of the cup from which I am to drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am to be baptized?"
39 Amanin jong, “Henge, kangam lhonne!” tin aseilhon e. Chuin Yeshuan adonbut in, “Kadon ding khon'a vang nadon lhon ding ahin chule thohgimna twilut kachanna jong changngam lhon nan nate,
"We are able," they replied. "Out of the cup," said Jesus, "from which I am to drink you shall drink, and with the baptism with which I am to be baptized you shall be baptized;
40 Ahivangin kajet le veiya tousah ding vang chu keima boltheidol ahipoi. Pathen in hichu alhendohsaho dinga agotsa ahitabouve,” ati.
but as to sitting at my right hand or at my left, that is not mine to give: it will be for those for whom it is reserved."
41 Seijui som ho chun James le John thilthum ajah-u chun athimah-un alungphamouvin ahi.
The other ten, hearing of it, were at first highly indignant with James and John.
42 Yeshuan amaho chu akoukhomin, “Nanghon naheuve, leiset mite lah'a vaipo ho khu amite pakaiyin apangun chuleh gamvaipo milun milal-hon anoidouhou chunga athuneinau asouvin vai ahomuvin ahi.
Jesus, however, called them to Him and said to them, "You are aware how those who are deemed rulers among the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men make them feel their authority;
43 Nangho lah'a vang chutilou ding ahi. Koihileh nangho lah'a alen hinoma chu nalhachauva pang ding ahi.
but it is not to be so among you. No, whoever desires to be great among you must be your servant;
44 Chuleh nalahuva apipuipen hinoma chu mijouse soh ahi ding angaiye.
and whoever desires to be first among you must be the bondservant of all.
45 Ijeh inem iti leh Mihem Chapa tah jong chu jen dinga hung hilouvin mijenle ding le mitampi lhatdohna dinga ahinna tohdoh ding joh-a hung ahibouve,” ati.
For the Son of Man also did not come to be waited upon, but to wait on others, and to give His life as the redemption-price for a multitude of people."
46 Chuin amaho Jericho khopi alhungun, Yeshua le aseijuiten khopi sung adalhah ding kon'un mihonpi tamtah'in anung ahin juiyui. Chuti lai chun mitcho khat, Timaeus chapa Bartimaeus chu lampam'ah anatouve.
They came to Jericho; and as He was leaving that town--Himself and His disciples and a great crowd--Bartimaeus (the son of Timaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the way-side.
47 Nazareth Yeshua chu nailam chan aum taiti ahet phatnin, “Vo David chapa, neilungset in!” tin ahin sam pantan ahi.
Hearing that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, "Son of David, Jesus, have pity on me."
48 Mi tamtah chun, “Thipmin!” tin ama chu aphoh-un, ahivangin aman ging cheh-in, “David chapa, neilungset in!” tin ahin sam kit'e.
Many angrily told him to leave off shouting; but he only cried out all the louder, "Son of David, have pity on me."
49 Yeshuan ajah phatnin adingdenin, “Hilama hung din seipeh-un,” atin, amahon jong mitchopa chu aganai pheiyun, “Kipah thanomin! Hungtan, Aman nakouve,” atipeh-un ahin pui tauve.
Then Jesus stood still. "Call him," He said. So they called the blind man. "Cheer up," they said; "rise, he is calling you."
50 Hichun Bartimaeus chun asangkhol-tho chu asut in akoilhan, chuin akichom touvin Yeshua heng ahin jon tai.
The man flung away his outer garment, sprang to his feet, and came to Jesus.
51 Yeshuan, “Ipi bolpehleng nadeiyem?” tia adoh leh, mitchopan, “Houhil, kho muleng kati,” ati.
"What shall I do for you?" said Jesus. "Rabboni," replied the blind man, "let me recover my sight."
52 Chuin Yeshuan ajah-a, “Chetan, natahsan in nadamsah tai,” ati leh, chupet tah chun kho amupai jengin, lamlhungin Yeshua ahin juitai.
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has cured you." Instantly he regained his sight, and followed Him along the road.
