< Luke 20 >

1 Nikhat Yeshuan mipi thu ahil'a Kipana Thupha houin'a aseiphong laiyin, thempu pipui ho, hou danthu hil ho, chule upa ho cheng ahengah ahungun.
And it came to pass, that, on one of those days, while he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes, with the elders, came to him,
2 “Ipi thuneina noiya nangman hiche hohi nabol ham? Kon thaneina napeh ham?” tin ahung dong uve.
and spoke to him, saying: Tell us by what authority you do these things? or, who is he that gave you this authority?
3 “Ken thudoh khat nanei masauvinge” tin adonbut in,
And he answered and said to them: I also will ask you one thing, and do you answer me.
4 “Twilutsah John thaneina chu van'a kon ham ahilouleh mihem a kon ham?” tin adongtai.
Was the immersion of John from heaven, or from men?
5 Amaho akihouvun, “Van'a kon ahi tileu hen, ibol'a John natahsan lou u ham eiti kit diu.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying: If we say, From heaven, he will reply: Why, then, did you not believe him?
6 Ahin iham tin mihem a kon ahi tileu hen, mipin songa eise kit diu, ajehchu John chu themgao ahi tia apom'u ahi” akitiuvin ahi.
But if we say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they believe that John was a prophet.
7 Hijeh chun achainakeiyin kahepouve tin ahin donbut tauve.
And they answered, that they knew not whence it was.
8 Chuin Yeshuan adonbut in, “Achutileh kenjong ipi thuneina noiya kabol ham ti naseipeh pouvinge,” ati. Lengpi-Lei Le Alei Lhouho Thulem
And Jesus said to them: Nor do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
9 Tun Yeshuan mipi lam angakit in hiche thusim hi aseipeh e: Mikhat hin lengpilei abol in, aloulhou miho komah apedoh in, gamdang khat ah kumsottah tham dingin achetai.
And he began to speak this parable to the people: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to vine-dressers, and was absent from home for a long time.
10 Lengpi ga khoptup phat alhin in, asohte khat ama chanding lan asol'e. Ahin loulhou ho chun sohpa chu ahin bolseuvin, avouvin, khutgoh keovin ahin lesol tauve.
And at the proper season, he sent a servant to those vine-dressers, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vine-dressers scourged him, and sent him away empty-handed.
11 Hijeh chun lou neipan soh dang khat asol kit in, ahivangin amahon ahinsujum kit un, avouvin, khutgoh keovin ahin lesol kit tauve.
And he then sent another servant. But they scourged him also, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.
12 Athumna pa asolkit in, chule ama jong chu ahin mavouvin adelmang tauve.
And he also sent a third; but they wounded him, and drove him out.
13 “Ipi kabol ding hitam?” tin louneipa akihoulim in ahi. “Kahetai! Keiman kachapa kasahlut tah hi sol'inge. Tahbeh in jana hinpe nauvinte” ati.
And the owner of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps, when they see him, they will reverence him.
14 Ahinlah, aloulhou hon achapa amu phat un, amaho akihou som'un, “Agoulo ding pa ahunge, thatdoh utin agoulo ding hi eiho chang tauhite!” akitiuve.
But when the vine-dressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying: This is the heir; come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 Hijeh chun ama chu lengpilei pam langah akaidoh un athat tauve. “Lengpilei neipa chun amaho chungah ipi bol'in te tia nangaitouvam?” tin Yeshuan ahin dongin,
And they drove him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
16 “Naseipeh unge–ama hungin tin loulhou ho chu athadoh a lengpilei chu midang asan sah ding ahitai” ati. “Iti khoh hitam chutobang thil aso jeng ding chu,” atiuvin athusei jaho chun ahin donbut uve.
He will come and destroy these vine-dressers, and will give his vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said: Be it not so!
17 Yeshuan amaho chu aven aseitai, “Achutileh, Pathen Lekhabun ipi ati naham? Insa hon apaidoh u song chu Inning songpin apangtai,”
And he looked on them and said: What, then, does this mean, which is written, The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner?
18 “Hiche songpia kipal jouse chu ahal hal'a keh ding, chule achunga lhu chu ipi hijong leh chip ding ahi” ati.
Whoever shall fall on this stone, shall be dashed to pieces; but on whomever it shall fall, it will make him as chaff for the wind.
19 Hou danthuhil ho le thempu pipuihon Yeshua chu kintah a matding adeilheh un ahi ajeh chu athusim seichu amaho kiseina ahi ahin kihetdoh u ahitai–amaho chu loulhou agilou hochu hiuvah ahi. Ahivangin mipi ho lethuh na chu akichauvin ahi.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him, the same hour; (and yet they feared the people; ) for they knew that he spoke this parable against them.
20 Phat kilemchang vepum'in, alamkai houvin avelhi le ding miphalhem asol uve. Yeshuan seikhel khat neihen Rome gamvaipo komah amat nadingin kipedoh le ti agon u ahi.
And they watched him, and sent spies, who feigned them selves to be just men, that they might take hold of his words, in order to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
21 Amahon “Houhil, Nangman adih chu nahil'a nasei ahi chule midang lunggel in nasuhboi joulou ahi keihon kaheuve.”
And they asked him, saying: Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and do not regard the person of any, but teach the way of God in truth.
22 “Tun neiseipeh un–Caesar henga kai pehding hi dih hai dihlou ham?” tin adong tauve.
Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Cæsar, or not?
23 Aman alungthim bol'u ahichu ahen aseitai,
But he perceived their cunning, and said to them: Why do you tempt me?
24 “Rome te sumpum khat neivetsah'un. Koi lim le thucheng kijih ham achunga chu?” tin adongtai. Amahon adonbut un, “Caesar a ahi,” atiuve.
Show me a denarius. Whose image and superscription has it? They answered and said: Cæsar’s.
25 Aman asei kit in, “Aphai ahileh, Caesar a chu Caesar peuvin lang Pathen a chu Pathen peuvin,” ati.
He said to them: Give, therefore, to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.
26 Chuti chun amahon mipi masanga athu seikhel'a kipal sah ding atiu chu ajou tapouve. Chusang chun, amahon athu donbut hochu kidang asauvin, athipchet tauve.
And they were not able to take hold of his words before the people. And they were astonished at his answer, and were silent.
27 Chuin Yeshua chu Sadducee–hou lamkai, thokitna aumpoi tihon kimupi din ahin naiyun ahi.
Then there came to him some of the Sadducees, (these deny that there is any resurrection, ) and asked him,
28 Hiche thudoh hi adongun ahi: “Houhil, Mosen dan khat eipeuvin, mikhat chu athia ajinu adalhah'a chaneilou ahileh, asopipan hiche meithai chu akichenpi ding, cha aneipi ding hichun asopipa min apoh ding ahi.
saying: Teacher, Moses wrote for us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up children for his brother.
29 Aphai, tun tekahnan ucha pasal sagi aume. A'upen ajineiyin cha neilouvin athitai.
There were, therefore, seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and died without children;
30 Hijeh chun ani napan akichenpin, ama jong athitai.
and the second took his wife, and he died without children;
31 Chuin athumna pan akichenpi kit in ahi. Hiti hin asagiuvin achelhan abon'uva chaneilou ahitauve.
and the third took her; and in like manner also the seven; and they left no children, and died.
32 Achainan numeinu jong athi tai.
Last of all, the woman also died.
33 Hijeh chun neiseipeh un, thokitna'a chu koi ji a pang ding ham? Ajeh chu asagiuva chu akichenpi cheh u anahi!”
Therefore, in the resurrection, of which of them shall she be the wife? for the seven had her as a wife.
34 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Kichen hi hiche leiset chunga cheng miho ding bou ahi.” (aiōn g165)
And Jesus answered and said to them: The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
35 Ahin, ahung lhung ding khang'ah, athilah a kona thoudoh dinga lom ho chu akicheng tapouvin chule chen jong akichensah tapouve. (aiōn g165)
But those who shall be accounted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
36 Chule amaho thikit talou diu, hitia chu amaho van'a Vantilte tobang hidiu ahitai. Amaho Pathen chate ahitauvin chule thoukit chate ahitauve.
For they can die no more; for they are like the angels, and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.
37 “Ahin tun, mithi thoukit mong ding hinam ti thudol ah”—Mose jengin jong nanglah meikong thudol asut chun avetsah in ahi. Abraham, Isaac, le Jacob thijou phat sottah jou nungin, Pakai chu Abraham Pathen, Isaac Pathen, Jacob Pathen tia akou ahi.
But: that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at The Bush, since he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38 “Hijeh a chu ama chu ahingho Pathen ahin, athiho a hilou ahi, ajeh chu amaho abonchauva ama'a hingah ahitauve.”
He is not a God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to him.
39 Chukom mun'a ding, hou danthu hil ho phabep khat chun, “Nasei hoiye, houhil” atiuve.
And certain of the scribes answered and said: Teacher, thou hast answered well.
40 Chule koiman thudoh adong ngam tapouvin ahi.
And after this they durst not ask him any question at all.
41 Chuin Yeshuan thudoh toh thon hiche hi aseipeh kit e, “Ipi jeh a Messiah chu David chapa kiti ding ham?”
But he said to them: How say they that the Christ is the son of David?
42 Ajeh chu David amatah in jong Labu'a anajihlut ahi: “Pakai in ka Pakai jah'a, Kajet lam'a kijana mun'ah touvin,”
Even David himself says, in the book of Psalms: The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand,
43 Namelmate kasuh nem a, Nakengto chotpha'a kakoi masang sen, ati.
till I make thy enemies thy footstool.
44 “David in Messiah chu Pakai, tia akou leh, Messiah chu iti David chapa hithei ding ham?” ati.
David, therefore, calls him Lord; and how is he his son?
45 Chuin mihonpi jah dingin, aseijuite kom langah akiheiyin aseitai,
And while all the people were listening, he said to his disciples:
46 “Hiche hou danthu hil hoa kon hin kichih theiyun! Ajeh chu amahon vonhoi tahtah kivon a kailhang lah dunga min chibai aboh diu adeiyun, chule kikhopna in le golvah na mun ho ah touna mun thupi lai lai aholjiuve.
Beware of the scribes, who delight to walk in robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the first seats in the synagogues, and the first places at suppers;
47 Ahin, amahon jahcha louhel in meithai ho anei agou uva kona lheplhah ding agel uvin, chule kilhagao misah tah bangin taona sottah tah japi lah'a amang jiuvin ahi; hiche jeh'a hi amaho hatah a bolgimna changding ahiuve,” ati. Meithainu Sumto
