< Thutan Vaihom Ho 2 >

1 Pakai Vantil chu Gilgala kon in ahung kaltouvin Bokima Israelte henga hitin ahung seiyin, “Keiman nangho hi Egypt gama kona kahin puidoh uva, napu napateo pehdia kana kihahselna gam chu kahinlhut nahi tauve, chule Keiman kaseiyin ‘Itihchan hijongleh kaki tepna chu kasuh keh louhel ding ahi,” tin kanaseiye.
The angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, "I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you:
2 Hiche gamsunga nachen lut tenguleh, hiche gama cheng hotoh khun kitepna nasem theilou heldiu, amavang amaicham semna munhou nasuhmang peh johdiu ahi. Chule nanghon kathupeh nanit pouvin nangaipouve. Ipi dinga hitia hi um’ah nahiuvem?
and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.' But you have not listened to my voice: why have you done this?
3 Hijeh chun keiman nagam sung’uva chengho kadeldoh pehlou diu, ama hohi nangho dinga nasuboi jinguva pangdiu, chule a-pathen houhi nangho dinga lhepna a pang jingdiu ahi.”
Therefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you, but they will become your adversaries, and their gods shall be a snare to you."
4 Pakai, Vantil chun Israelte koma athusei chu achaiphat in mipi chu akapjah jengun ahi.
It happened, when the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
5 Hijeh chun hiche munchu amin Bokim asah un (Hichu kana) tina ahi. Hichea chun amahon Pakaiya kilhaina ana sem’un ahi.
They called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there to the LORD.
6 Joshua’n amaho chu alhahdoh phat in, ama ama phungho cheh in agoulo mun agamsung cheh toupha ding in ache tauvin ahi.
Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel went every man to his inheritance to possess the land.
7 Chule Israel mipi abon chauvin Joshua hinlai sungse leh Joshua sanga hingsotjo gollui upa ho Pakai thilbol loupi tahtah ho anabol, amittah’a ana muho hinlai sungse chun Israelten Pakai kinchu anabol un ahi.
The people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the LORD that he had worked for Israel.
8 Pakai lhacha Nun chapa Joshua chu kum jakhat le som alhin-in ana thitan ahi.
Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being one hundred ten years old.
9 Amahon Gash mol sahlang Ephraim thinglhang gam, ama ana kipehna Timnath-serah gama chun anavui tauvin ahi.
They buried him in the territory of his inheritance in Timnath Serah, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
10 Joshua khanga miho athisoh hel phat’un, Israel khangthah ahung kisepdoh ho chun Pathen’in Israelte dinga thil thupi tahtah ana boldoh peh holeh, Ama jeng jong hepha le gelpha aum tapouve.
And all that generation were also gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD, nor the works which he had done for Israel.
11 Hichephat hin Israelten Pakai mitmun thilphalou tahtah ana boldoh tauvin, chule Baal doi-lim semthu hochu anahou tauve.
The children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals;
12 Egypt gama kona ahin puidoh uva apu apateu Pakai, Pathen chu ana nungsun tauvin, amahon pathen dangho nung anajuiyun aveluva cheng mite pathen hochu anahoujo tauvin ahi. Hichun Pakai ana lunghan sahlheh jeng in ahi.
and they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them: and they provoked the LORD to anger.
13 Amahon Pakai chu ana nungsun uva Baal leh Ashtoreth semthu pathen hojoh anahou tauvin ahi.
They forsook the LORD, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14 Hiche hin Pakai chu Israel chunga nasatah in ana lunghan sahtan, hijeh chun Pakaiyin amaho chu michom-gamte khut’ah apedoh tan Israelte chu anachom tauve; chule Pakaiyin amaho chu akimveluva cheng agalmi hou khut’ah ana pedoh tauvin, hijeh chun Israelte chu agalmiteu ana-tingjou tapouvin ahi.
The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of marauders who plundered them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
15 Israel’ten amaho kisatpi dinga akondoh chan’un Pakaiyin amaho dounan gal asat jitan, Aman ana gihna bang chun, gal alelsah jitauvin ahileh amaho chu ana lungkham lheh jeng un ahi.
Wherever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for harm, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them: and they were in great distress.
16 Chuin Pakaiyin Israelte chu ahindel khum houva kona, ahuhdoh ding'un thutan vaihom ho ana tundoh peh'uvin ahi.
The LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.
17 Ahivang'in Israel’ten thutan vaihom ho thu ngailouvin, pathen dangho houna in numei kijoh ho bangin anachon tauvin, Pakai thupeh dungjuiya anachon apu apateu chonna lampia kona i-atileh ana kihei mangloichal jiuva ham?
Yet they did not listen to their judges; for they played the prostitute after other gods, and bowed themselves down to them: they turned aside quickly out of the way in which their fathers walked, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not do so.
18 Pakaiyin thutan vaihom ho Israelte chunga atundoh komleh thutan vaihom ho chu ana mangchajin, amaho hinlai sung chun agalmi houva kon in ana huhdoh jiuvin ahi. Ajeh chu Pakaiyin a-engbolna leh thohgimna thoh amipite chu akhoto jin ahi.
When the LORD raised up judges for them, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it grieved the LORD because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
19 Ahinlah thutan vaihom ho athi tenguleh, amipite chu achonnau dihlounau lampia akinungle kit jiuvin, amahon pathen dang ana jui jiuvin, ajenle in anapangun chujongle ana hou jiuvin ahi. Hiti chun thildihlou abol-hou chu alouchal jeh un anapaidoh nomji pouvin ahi.
But it happened, when the judge was dead, that they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them; they did not cease from their practices, and they did not turn aside from their stubborn ways.
20 Hijeh chun Pakai chu Israel chung’ah nasatah in analung hang jin, Pakaiyin hitin anaseiye, “Ajeh chu kamiten apu apateu toh kitepna kana semchu asukeh un chule kathupeh jong nahsah louvin akoi tauvin ahi.
The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel; and he said, "Because this nation has transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not obeyed my voice;
21 Keiman, Joshua'n athichan geija jousoh louva anadalhah nam mite chu kadeldoh pehlou ding ahitai.
I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations that Joshua left when he died;
22 Israelte apu apateuvin Pakai nung anajui banguva ajuiyuvam ajuilou uham ti, patepna keiman hichehi kabol ahi.” ati.
that by them I may test Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk in it, as their fathers kept it, or not."
23 Hiche jeh achu Pakaiyin hiche nam mite chu deldoh louva, Joshua chu abona anajosah lou ahi.
So the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.
