The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2 Hiche nikholai hin Manoah kiti Daan phungmi khat Zorah khopi sungah anachengin ahi. Ama jinu hin nao avop theipon chanei louvin aum lhonin ahi.
There was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and did not bear.
3 Pakai vantil khat Manoah jinu komah ahung kilah in hitin aseije, “Nangma chanei theilou hellin hitih chan’in ana umjong lechun tuahi gangtah a nao nahinvop ding chapa khat nahinding ahi.
The angel of the LORD appeared to the woman, and said to her, "See now, you are barren, and do not bear; but you shall conceive, and bear a son.
4 Hijeh chun chingtheijin, nangin ju hihenlang khamnathei dang ipi hijongleh don hihbeh in chuleh nehding kijahda thil ho chu nehih beh in.
Now therefore please be careful and drink no wine nor strong drink, and do not eat any unclean thing.
5 Nangman nao hinvop in natin chapa khat nahin ding ahi, chuleh asam navopeh louhelding ahi. Ajeh chu amachu ahung penna patna athichan geija Nazir khat hina-a Pathenna kikatdoh ding ahi. Aman Philistine tea konna Israelte ahin huhdoh ding ahi,” ati.
For look, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor will come on his head; for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines."
6 Hichun hiche numeinu chu alhai jellin ajipa aga hetsah tan ahi, “Pathen mikhat kakom’ah ahung kilah in, amachu Pathen vantil toh akilouvin, vetding tijat umtah ahi. Hoiya hungkon ham ti kana dongpon amanjong amin eiseipeh pon ahi.
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, "A man of God came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of God, very awesome; and I didn't ask him where he was from, neither did he tell me his name,
7 Ahinlah aman nao nahinvop ding chapa khat nahinding ahi ati. Jujong nadon louding khamnathei adang, ipi hijongleh nadon louding nehjong nanehlou ding ahi ati. Ajeh chu nachapa chu ahung penna patna athi nichan geija Nazir khat iding Pathenna kikat dohding ahi,” ati.
but he said to me, 'Look, you shall conceive, and bear a son. And now drink no wine nor strong drink, and do not eat any unclean thing; for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb until the day of his death.'"
8 Hichun Manoah Pathen hengah atauvin aseitai, “Pakai, lungsettah in Pathen mipa chu avellin hungkit henlang ahung pengding chapang chungchang chu eiseipeh behen” ati.
Then Manoah pleaded with the LORD, and said, "Oh, Lord, please let the man of God whom you did send come again to us, and teach us what we shall do to the child who shall be born."
9 Pathen’in Manoah taona chu asangin avellin ajinu loulaija atoupetnin Pathen vantil chu ahung kilah kitnin ahi. Ahinla ajipa Manoah chu amanu komma ana umloupet ahi.
God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah, her husband, wasn't with her.
10 Hijeh chun amanu chu gangtah in ajia koma alhai jallin agaseipeh in, “Nikhatna kakomma hungkilah a chu avellin ahung kitne” ati.
The woman ran quickly, and told her husband, and said to him, "Look, the man who came to me the other day has appeared to me."
11 Manoah chu ajinu chutoh alelhai lhonnin adongtan ahi, “Nangmahi nikhatna kajinu komma hung kilah chu nahim?” tin ana dongin ahi. Aman ahin donbut nin “kahi” ati.
Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said to him, "Are you the man who spoke to the woman?" He said, "I am."
12 Hijeh chun Manoah in hiti i nana dong tai, “Nathusei chu ahung guilhun teng hiche chapang chun ipi atoh dingham? chuleh itobanga hinkho amending ham?” tin ana dong tai.
Manoah said, "Now let your word happen. How shall the child be raised and what is he to do?"
13 Pakai Vantil chun ahin donbutnin, “Najinun atohding kaseipeh hochu phatah a ajuiding ahi,
The angel of the LORD said to Manoah, "Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful.
14 Amanun lengpithei tuija kon poupou chu anehlou ding chuleh ju hihenlang khamnathei adang itobang hijongleh adonlou ding chuleh athenglou poupou chu anehlou ding ahi” ati.
She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing. All that I have commanded her she is to observe."
15 Hiche jouchun Manoah in Pakai Vantil komma chun aseije, “Lungsettah in keinin naneh ding kelnou khat kahin honlhon tokah in hiche ahin umtadin” ati.
Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, "Please, stay a bit longer that we may prepare a young goat for you."
16 Pakai Vantil chun adonbutnin “anaum nange” ahilah ima kaneh louding ahi, hijeng jongleh Pakai komma kilhaina a pumgo thilto nabolthei lhon ding ahi” ati. (Manoah chun Pakai Vantil chu Pakai ahilam ahetlou ahi).
The angel of the LORD said to Manoah, "Though you detain me, I won't eat of your bread. And if you prepare a burnt offering, you must offer it to the LORD." For Manoah did not know that he was the angel of the LORD.
17 Hichun Manoah in Pakai Vantil komma chun “Namin ipi ham?” tin anadongin ahi. Ajeh chu hicheho jousehi ahung guilhun tengleh keinin naming hi kajabol thei lhonna dingin” ati.
Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, "What is your name, that when your words come true we may honor you?"
18 Pakai Vantil chun adonbutnin, “Ipi dinga kamin neidoh ham? Nangin nahet dinga kidang val ding ahi” ati.
And the angel of the LORD said to him, "Why do you ask for my name? It is incomprehensible."
19 Hichun Manoah in kelnou khat toh lousoh ga themkhat toh ahin choijin song chunga chun Pakai kommah pumgo thilto din atohdoh lhontan ahi. Chutia chu Manoah teni nupan avetpet lhonchun Pakai chun thil kidang tah aboldoh tan ahi.
So Manoah took the young goat and a grain offering, and offered it on the rock to the LORD, the LORD who works wonders. And Manoah and his wife looked on.
20 Hichea maichamma konna meikong chu vanlanga akontou phat chun Pakai Vantil jongchu meikong lah a chun akaltou tan ahi. Manoah leh ajinun hichu amu lhon phatnin abohkhup lhonnin jana apelhon tai.
For it happened, when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on, and they fell on their faces to the ground.
21 Vantil chu Manoah te nupa kommah avellin ahung kilah kittapon ahi. Hichun Manoah chun Pakai Vantil chu Pakai ahiti ahedoh tai.
But the angel of the LORD did not appear again to Manoah or to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the LORD.
22 Aman ajinu kommah hitin aseije, “Eini ithi teitei ding ahitai ajeh chu einin Pathen imulhon tan ahi” akiti lhon tan ahi.
Manoah said to his wife, "We shall surely die, because we have seen God."
23 Ahinlah ajinun, “Pakai chun eitha lhon ding ahilah kelnou leh lhosoh ga chu sangponte, aman eini komma jong hung kilah louding eini komma hitobang hojong abollou ding ahi” ati.
But his wife said to him, "If the LORD meant to kill us, he wouldn't have received a burnt offering and a grain offering from us, neither would he have shown us all these things, nor would he have spoken to us now like this."
24 Achapa chu ahungso phatnin amanun jong amin Samson asahtai, chuleh amachu ahung khanlet to kilhonin Pakaiyin phatthei aboh in ahi.
The woman bore a son, and named him Samson. And the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.
25 Ama Zorah leh Eshtaol khopi teni kikah a Mahaneh-dan munna achen petnin Pathen lhagaovin amachu ahin hatdohsah tan ahi.
And the Spirit of the LORD began to direct him in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.
