After Abimelech, Tola son of Puah son of Dodo, a man from Issachar who lived in Shamir, in the hill country of Ephraim, arose to deliver Israel.
2 Amahin kum somni le thum sungin Israelte lah a thutan vaihom’in anapang in ahi. Ama athi phatnin Shamir munnah ana kivuijin ahi.
He judged Israel twenty-three years. He died and was buried in Shamir.
3 Tol'a athijouhin Gilead na kon in Jair in kum somni le ni sungin Israelte thutan vaihom in ana pange.

Then the Ammonites crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was greatly distressed.
10 Athohlel behseh phat’un Pakai kommah panpi ngaichatna in ana kapjah jengun, “Pakai keihon nangma dounan kana chonse lheh jeng taove, ajeh chu keihon ka Pathennu nangma kana nuse uvin Baal doi semthu milimho kana hou taove” atiuve.
Then the people of Israel called out to Yahweh, saying, “We have sinned against you, because we abandoned our God and worshiped the Baals.”
11 Pakaiyin ahin donbutnin, “Keiman nangho hi Egypt mite akon, Amor mite akon, Ammon kitea kon chule Phileistinete tea konna kana huhdoh nahilou uham?
Yahweh said to the people of Israel, “Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines,
12 Sidon mite Amalek mite leh Maon mitea konna jong kana huhdoh u hilouham? Amahon nabol genthei tenguleh panpi ngehna nahung kajah jeng jiuva keiman kana huhdoh jiu hilouham?
and also from the Sidonians? The Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you; you called out to me, and I delivered you from their power.
13 Ahiyeng vang'in nanghon Keima ein use jiuva semthu pathen dangho joh nahoujiu hilouham? Hijeh chun Keiman nangho huhdoh taopou vinge,
Yet you abandoned me again and worshiped other gods. Therefore, I will not keep adding to the times I deliver you.
14 Cheuvinlang nanghon nadeilhen joh u semthu pathen hojoh kommah gakap munlang nahahsat naova konhin kihuhdoh sahtauvin” atipeh joh tan ahi.
Go and call out to the gods that you have worshiped. Let them rescue you when you have trouble.”
15 Ahinlah Israelte Pakai komma atao teitei jengun hitin aseijun ahi, “Pakai keiho kachonse taove nangin nadeidan dannin nei engbol tauvin ahinla kagalmiteu vakon in tunin neihuhdoh teitei jun,” atiuve.
The people of Israel said to Yahweh, “We have sinned. Do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please, rescue us this day.”
16 Hijouchun Israelten gamdang semthu pathenho chu apaimangun Pakai johchu ahoutaove. Hichun Israelte gimna chu avet’a ahileh Pakai jong along ahimolheh jeng tan ahi.
They got rid of the foreign gods among them and they worshiped Yahweh. Then Yahweh could bear Israel's misery no longer.
17 Hichepettah chun Ammon sepaite galsat dingin kikhom uvin, Gilead gamsunga chun panmun akisem un ahi, chuleh Israelte jong kikhomkhom uvin Mizpah munnah chun a panmun diu ana kisem un ahi.
Then Ammonites gathered together and set up camp in Gilead. The Israelites came together and set up their camp at Mizpah.
18 Gilead lamkaiho chu khatle khat akihou sommun, “Koi hileh Ammon mite satmasa pen penchu Gilead mite chunga vaihommin pang jeng hen” atiuvin ahi.
The leaders of the people of Gilead said one to another, “Who is the man who will begin to fight the Ammonites? He will become the leader over all those who are living in Gilead.”
