1 Abimelech thijou hin Dodo chapa Puah chapa Tol'a hi Israelte huhdoh dingin ahung pangin ahi. Amahi Issachar phungmi ahin, Ephraim thinglhang gamsunga um Shamir khopia chengmi ahi.
And there arose after Abimelech to deliver Israel Tola' the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in the mountain of Ephraim.
2 Amahin kum somni le thum sungin Israelte lah a thutan vaihom’in anapang in ahi. Ama athi phatnin Shamir munnah ana kivuijin ahi.
And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and then died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 Tol'a athijouhin Gilead na kon in Jair in kum somni le ni sungin Israelte thutan vaihom in ana pange.
And after him arose Yair, the Gil'adite, and judged Israel twenty and two years;
4 Chapa somthum aneijin, amaho chun sangan somthum ana mangchaovin chuleh amahin Gilead gamsungah khopi somthum ma ana neijun ahi, hicheho chu tuni changeijin Jair khopi ho akitin ahi.
And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass-colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Chavvoth-yair unto this day, which are in the land of Gil'ad.
5 Jair athi phatnin Kamon khopia ana vuijun ahi.
And Yair died, and was buried in Kamon.
6 Avellin Israelten Pakai mitmun thilse jeng anabol kitnun ahi. Amahon Baal le Ashtoreth milim doi semthu ana hou kitnun chule Ram, Sidon, Moab, Ammon chule Philistine te semthu pathen ana houvun ahi. Amahon Pakai chu ana nuse uvin houdin jong ana gotapouvin ahi.
And the children of Israel repeated to do the evil in the eyes of the Lord, and they served the Be'alim, and 'Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of 'Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and they forsook the Lord, and served not him.
7 Hijeh chun Pakai chu Israel chungah nasatah in ana lunghang tan ahileh amaho chu Philistine te le Ammon mite khut’ah ana pedohtan ahileh,
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the children of 'Ammon.
8 Hiche kumma patchun ana sugenthei lheh jengun ahi. Amahon Gilead gamsunga um Amor mite gam solam gamkaija cheng Israelte jouse chungah kum somleget sungin ana sugentheijun ahi.
And they afflicted and oppressed the children of Israel that year; [and] for eighteen years all the children of Israel that were on the other side of the Jordan in the land of the Emorites, which is in Gil'ad.
9 Ammon miten Jordan lhumlam ajong ahung galkaijun Judah, Benjamin chuleh Ephraim hojong ahung bulu jiuvin ahi. Hitichun Israelte hin agentheinao chu ana thohlel lheh jeng tauvin ahi.
And the children of 'Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sorely distressed.
10 Athohlel behseh phat’un Pakai kommah panpi ngaichatna in ana kapjah jengun, “Pakai keihon nangma dounan kana chonse lheh jeng taove, ajeh chu keihon ka Pathennu nangma kana nuse uvin Baal doi semthu milimho kana hou taove” atiuve.
And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, saying, We have sinned against thee, because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Be'alim.
11 Pakaiyin ahin donbutnin, “Keiman nangho hi Egypt mite akon, Amor mite akon, Ammon kitea kon chule Phileistinete tea konna kana huhdoh nahilou uham?
And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Behold [I delivered you] from the Egyptians, and from the Emorites, from the children of 'Ammon, and from the Philistines.
12 Sidon mite Amalek mite leh Maon mitea konna jong kana huhdoh u hilouham? Amahon nabol genthei tenguleh panpi ngehna nahung kajah jeng jiuva keiman kana huhdoh jiu hilouham?
And when the Zidonians, and the 'Amalekites, and the Ma'onites did oppress you, and ye cried to me, I delivered you also out of their hand.
13 Ahiyeng vang'in nanghon Keima ein use jiuva semthu pathen dangho joh nahoujiu hilouham? Hijeh chun Keiman nangho huhdoh taopou vinge,
And yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods; wherefore I will deliver you no more.
14 Cheuvinlang nanghon nadeilhen joh u semthu pathen hojoh kommah gakap munlang nahahsat naova konhin kihuhdoh sahtauvin” atipeh joh tan ahi.
Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let these deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
15 Ahinlah Israelte Pakai komma atao teitei jengun hitin aseijun ahi, “Pakai keiho kachonse taove nangin nadeidan dannin nei engbol tauvin ahinla kagalmiteu vakon in tunin neihuhdoh teitei jun,” atiuve.
And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, We have sinned: do thou unto us entirely as it seemeth good in thy eyes; only deliver us, we pray thee, this time.
16 Hijouchun Israelten gamdang semthu pathenho chu apaimangun Pakai johchu ahoutaove. Hichun Israelte gimna chu avet’a ahileh Pakai jong along ahimolheh jeng tan ahi.
And they put away the strange gods from their midst, and served the Lord; and his soul was grieved for the trouble of Israel.
17 Hichepettah chun Ammon sepaite galsat dingin kikhom uvin, Gilead gamsunga chun panmun akisem un ahi, chuleh Israelte jong kikhomkhom uvin Mizpah munnah chun a panmun diu ana kisem un ahi.
And the children of 'Ammon were called together, and they encamped in Gil'ad. And the children of Israel also assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpah.
18 Gilead lamkaiho chu khatle khat akihou sommun, “Koi hileh Ammon mite satmasa pen penchu Gilead mite chunga vaihommin pang jeng hen” atiuvin ahi.
And the people, the princes of Gil'ad, said one to another, Whatever man it be that will begin to fight against the children of 'Ammon, shall become the head over all the inhabitants of Gil'ad.
