1 Judah phung sunga chun ainsung dungjui cheh a achandiu chu hitihin akihoppehin ahi. Zin gammanga Edom gamgi lhanglang chu alhangnung penna gamgi chu ahitai.
And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is to the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;
2 Chuleh lhanglang gamgichu lhanglang ngat tuikolla pat Chitwilen lang changei ahi.
and to them the south border is at the extremity of the Salt Sea, from the bay which is looking southward;
3 Hitichun Akrabbim lhanglang ninga achesuh in Zin gam ahopan, Kadesh-barnea lhanglang ning langa akaltouvin, chuleh Hezron ahopan chuleh Adar langa akaltouvin chuleh Karka vel kollang ahopan ahi.
and it has gone out to the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over [to] Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned around to Karkaa,
4 Hichea kon chun Azmon lang ajonnin achainan Egypt vadung langa achepeh in Mediterranean twikhanglen changei alhungin ahi. Hichehi amaho lhanglang gamgi chu ahitai.
and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the Brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is the south border to you.
5 Chutengleh solam gamgichu Chitwilen changei akilhung dohin Jordan kom changeijin achepehin ahi. Sahlang gamkaiya gamgi chu Jordan vadung ola chun akipannin. Chitwilen achun alonglutnin ahi.
And the east border [is] the Salt Sea, to the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter [is] from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;
6 Beth-hoglah-a konin achetouvin Beth-arabah sahlang geijin ache-in Bohan songphung gei achu gamgi kilhungdoh peh in ahi.(Bohan chu Reuben chapa ahi).
and the border has gone up [to] Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border has gone up [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:
7 Hichea patna gamgi chu Achor phaicham Dabir la konna chetoupeh a Gilgal langa chetouva ahi. Hichehi Adummin kaltouna masang ahi. Gamgi chu En-shamesh tuitah geijin achepeh in En-rogel munnah akichaijin ahi.
and the border has gone up toward Debir from the Valley of Achor, and northward looking to Gilgal, which [is] opposite the ascent of Adummim, which [is] on the south of the brook, and the border has passed over to the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been to En-Rogel;
8 Gamgi chun Ben Hinnom phaicham chu apal galkaijin erusalem khopi kitundohna munlang Jebus mite chenna lhangsuh a chun akilhungdoh peh in ahi.
and the border has gone up the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border has gone up to the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the Valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the Valley of the Rephaim northward;
9 Hicheakon chun gamgi molsang chung vumma kon in ahung kijidoh in, Nephtoah tuiputna changeijin achetoupeh in, hichea kon chun Ephron lhang khopiho changeijin akilhunglutnin ahi. Hicheakon chun Baalah (Hichu Kiriath-jearim akiti’e) akiheilut’a ahi.
and the border has been marked out, from the top of the hill-country to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and has gone out to the cities of Mount Ephron, and the border has been marked out [to] Ba‘alah (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);
10 Gamgi chun Baalah lhumlam avellin Seir thinglhang chu ajonlutnin, Jearim molsang sahlama Kesalon khopi sung ahohpan, chuin Beth-shemesh langa akigolsuh in, Timnah lang ajotpaije
and the border has gone around from Ba‘alah westward, to Mount Seir, and passed over to the side of Mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;
11 Hichea konchun gamgi chu Ekron sahlang thinglhang chu ajonlutnin hichea kon chun Shikkeron leh Baalah lhanglang ajonnin ahi. Hichebanna chun Jabneel ahohpan Mediterranean twikhanglennah akichaijin ahi.
and the border has gone out to the side of Ekron northward, and the border has been marked out [to] Shicron, and has passed over to Mount Ba‘alah, and gone out [to] Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.
12 Lhumlam gamgi chu Mediterranean twikhanglenpangjui chu ahipehe. Hichehi Juda phung bahkaiho gamgi chu ahi.
And the west border [is] to the Great Sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah all around for their families.
13 Pakaiyin Judah gambihkhatchu Jephunneh chapa Caleb apehdingin Joshua chu thu apen ahi. Hijeh chun Caleb chu Kiriath-arba (Hebron tina ahi) khopichu apen ahi. Hiche Hebron hi Anak apu apateu minkhatna anakiminvo ahi.
And to Caleb son of Jephunneh he has given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of YHWH to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba, father of Anak—it [is] Hebron.
14 Caleb chun Anak chate Sheshai, Ahiman leh Talmai chilhah hon thum hochu ana no doh in ahi.
And Caleb is dispossessing there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,
15 Hichea kon chun Debir khopi (tumasanga chu Kiriath-sepher kiti ahi) achengte galkisatpi din anakontai.
and he goes up there to the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir [was] formerly Kirjath-Sepher.
16 Caleb min aseijin, “Koi hileh Kiriath-sepher nokhumna galla galjou penchu kachanu Acsah akichen pidinga kapeh ding ahi” ati.
And Caleb says, “He who strikes Kirjath-Sephar, and has captured it—I have given my daughter Achsah to him for a wife.”
17 Caleb sopipa Kenaz chapa Othniel chun aga joutan ahileh Acsah chu Othniel ji ahung hitai.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captures it, and he gives his daughter Achsah to him for a wife.
18 Acsah in Othniel akichenpi chun amanun apa komma loumun khat thumdin ajipa chu angeh in ahi. Amanu asangan chunga konna akum lhahchun Caleb in “Ipi nadeiham?” tin anadonge.
And it comes to pass, in her coming in, that she persuades him to ask [for] a field from her father, and she comes down off the donkey, and Caleb says to her, “What do you [want]?”
19 Amanun aseijin, “Negev ma gamkhat bon neipeh ahitahleh twinah khatjong neipehthan ati.” Hitichun Caleb injong sahlang twinah leh lhanglang twinah khat apen ahi.
And she says, “Give a blessing to me; when you have given me the land of the south, then you have given springs of waters to me”; and he gives the upper springs and the lower springs to her.
20 Hichehi Judah phungin abahkai abahkai dungjuija ainsung chehuva achenna diuva kipe munchu ahi.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.
21 Judah khopihochu Edom gamgi chin anoinung penna umhochu: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are to the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,
and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 Ziph, Telem, Bealoth,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (Hichu Hazor tina ).
and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hezron (it [is] Hazor),
26 Amam, Shema, Moladah,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, Beth-pelet,
and Hazar-Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Palet,
28 Hazar-shual, Beersheba, Biziothiah,
and Hazar-Shual, and Beer-Sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29 Baalah, Iim, Ezem,
Ba‘alah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltolad, Kesil, Hormah,
and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain chuleh Rimmon–agoma khopi somni le ko chule avella khojouse ahi.
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities [are] twenty-nine, and their villages.
33 Lhumlam molbulla um khopi ho chengse jonghi Judah anakipe hochu ahiuve: Eshtaol, Zorah, Ashnah,
In the low country: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanoah, En-gannim, Tappuah, Enam,
and Zanoah, and En-Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, Azekah,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Shaaraim, Adithaim, Gederah chuleh Gederothaim – khopi somleli toh avella khoho jouse ahi.
and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities and their villages.
37 Hiche tilou vinjong, Zenan, Hadashah, Migdal-gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,
38 Dilean, Mizpeh, Joktheel,
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 Lachish, Bozkath, Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Cabbon, Lahmam, Kitlish,
and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Gederoth, Beth-dagon, Naamah chuleh Makkedah – khopiho somlegup avella khojouse jong ahi.
and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities and their villages.
42 Hiche tilouvin jong, Libnah, Ether, Ashan,
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,
and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keilah, Aczib chule Mareshah – khopi ko holeh avella khoho jouse ahiuve.
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages.
45 Judah phung miten atoupha diuva kipe gamho chu Ekron leh avella khoho jong ahopmin ahi.
Ekron and its towns and its villages,
46 Ekron na kon chun lhumlam gamgi chin geijin akijedohin Ashdod komma khogeiho leh khoho jouse jong ahop’in ahi.
from Ekron and westward, all that [are] by the side of Ashdod, and their villages.
47 Ashdod avella khojouse chule Gaza le asunga khohojouse, Egypt vadung leh Mediterranean twikhanglen pang changei ahopmin ahi.
Ashdod, its towns and its villages, Gaza, its towns and its villages, to the Brook of Egypt, and the Great Sea, and [its] border.
48 Judah chanchu noija thinglhang khopiho: Shamir, Jattir, Socoh,
And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 Dannah, Kiriath-sannah (Hichu Debir tina),
and Dannah, and Kirjath-Sannah (it [is] Debir),
50 Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim,
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 Goshen, Holon chuleh Giloh – khopi somlekhat toh avella khoho ahiuve.
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages.
52 Chukitleh Arab khopi ho jong ahop in ahi: Dumah, Eshan,
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Janim, Beth-tappuah, Aphekah,
and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humtah, Kiriath-arba (hichu Hebron tina), chuleh Zior – khopi koleh avella khoho ahiuve.
and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba (it [is] Hebron), and Zior; nine cities and their villages.
55 Hichetilou jongchun, Maon, Carmel, Ziph, Juttah,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kain, Gibeah chuleh Timnah – khopi som leh vella khoho ahiuve
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages.
58 Hiche banna jong chun Halhul, Beth-zur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarath, Beth-anoth chuleh Eltekon – khopi gup leh vella khoho ahiuve.
and Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages.
60 Kiriath-baal (Hichu Kiriath-jearim tina ahi) chuleh Rabbah – khopi ni leh avella khoho ahiuve.
Kirjath-Ba‘al (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities and their villages.
61 Gamthip gamma khopiho chun Beth-arabah, Middin, Secacah,
In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibshan, Chi khopi len chule En-gedi – khopi gup leh vella khoho ahiuve.
and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.
63 Ahin Judah phungin Jerusalem ma cheng Jebu mite ana nodoh joupouvin, hijeh chun tuni chan geijin Jebu mitehi Judah te toh acheng khom jengun ahi.
As for the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwells with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem to this day.
