< John 9 >

1 Chuin Yeshua chu avahlen ahileh, apen'a mitcho'a peng mikhat amun ahi.
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 Hichun aseijuiten ajah'a, “Houhil, hichepa hi ipi jeh'a apen'a mitcho'a peng ham? Ama chonse ham? Oleh anu leh apa chonse a ham?” atiuve.
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Yeshuan adonbut'in, “Hiche hi ama chonset jeh jong ahipon, chuleh anuleh apa chonset jeh jong ahipoi; hiche a hi Pathen thahatna ama chunga akiphon na dinga ahibouve.
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 Hijeh chun eihon kinloi tah'a eisol pauvin einganse nau hi itoh dingu ahitai.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 Ahivangin keima hiche vannoiya kaum laisea hi vannoi vah kahi,” ati.
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 Chuin aman tol'ah achil aset in, achil a chun bonlhoh asemin chuleh hiche bonlhoh chu mitchopa mit'a aloiyin ahi.
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 Hichun aman ajah'a, “Chen Siloam (sol tina ahi) twikul'a nangma tah in gaki phetlhah in,” ati. Hijeh chun mipa chu achen agakiphet lhahtai, chuleh kho amun ahung kiletan ahi.
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, ( which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8 Chuin aheng akom achenkhompi ho chuleh masanga amapa khutdo ji musa ho chu akidong touvin, “Toumun'a khutdo jipa chu hichepa hi hilou ham?” atiuvin ahi.
The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9 Mi phabep chun “Amapa chu ahi” atiuvin, chuleh adang phabep chun, “Amapa chu ahipoi akilopi joh ahibouve,” atiuvin ahi; hichun amapa chun, “Henge ama chu kahinai,” ati jengtan ahi.
Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
10 Chuin amahon adong'un, “koiham kho namu sah? ipi iti dan ham?” atiuvin ahi.
Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
11 Hichun amapan ajah'uva, “Yeshua atipau chun bonlhon asem in, hichu kamit'a eiloi peh in chuin kajah'a ‘chen Siloam twikul'a nangma tah'in gaki phetlhah tan eiti,’ hijeh chun keima kachen kaga phetlhah leh kho kahin mu ahitai,” ati.
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
12 Chuin amahon adongun, “Amapa chu tua hoiya um tam?” atiuvin ahi, aman adonbut in, “Kahepoi,” ati.
Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
13 Chuin amahon masanga mitchopa chu Pharisee ho henga ahinpui tauvin ahi.
They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
14 Ajeh chu Yeshuan bonlhoh asem'a amapa asuhdam nikho chu Cholngah ni ahi.
And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15 Chuin Pharisee hon amapa chu amit khomu dol abonchan adongun ahi, hijeh chun aman ajah'uva, “Aman bonlhoh chu kamit'a aloiyin, chuin keiman kaga phetlhah leh kho kamu jeng ahitai,” ati.
Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
16 Chuin Pharisee ho phabep chun, “Hiche mipa Yeshua hi Pathen a kon ahipoi, ajeh chu aman Cholngah nikho apalkeh e atiuvin ahi.” Ahivangin adang phabep chun, “Iti michonse khat in hitobang melchihna kidang hohi abolthei ding ham?” atiuvin, amaho lah'a chun kibung khenna lentah a umdohtan ahi.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
17 Chuin Pharisee hon, mitcho kho mupa chu adong kit'un, “Namit kho namu sahpa chu nangman koi ahi natim?” atiuvin, aman adonbut'in, “Themgao khat hiteiyinte,” ati.
They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
18 Hiche jeng jong chun, Judah vaipo hon hiche mipa chu, mitcho anahia tua kho amu ahitai, tichu atahsan pouve, hijeh chun amahon anu leh apa akimu piuvin ahi.
But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
19 Chuleh amahon anu leh apa chu adong'un, “Hichepa hi apen'a mitcho'a peng'a hinam? Ahileh tua iti kho amuthei ham?” atiuve.
And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
20 Hichun anu leh apan adonbut'in, “Ama hi apen'a mitcho'a peng kachapa lhon ahi, kahe lhon e,” ati.
His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
21 “Ahivangin aman iti kho amu ham, koiyin amit adamsah ham, kahe lhonpoi; ama dong'un, amatah achungthu kiseitheiya upa ahitai,” atilhon e.
But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
22 Hichu anuleh apan Judah vaipo ho kichat na jeh'a achuti seilhon ahi, ajeh chu amahon, “Koi hileh Yeshua chu Messiah ahi tia sei aum leh kikhop na in'a kon'a nomang ding tia ana phon dohsau ahitai.”
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
23 Hiche jeh'a chu amanin ajah'uva, “Ama kidoh un amatah chu athu kiseithei ja len ahitai,” atilhon ahi.
Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
24 Chuin amahon anivei nan mitcho khomupa chu akouvun, ajah'a, “Hiche thua hi Pathen bou loupi sah in, ajeh chu Yeshua kitipa chu michonse ahi, keihon kaheuve,” atiuvin ahi.
Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
25 Hichun aman adonbut'in, “Ama michonse ahi ahilou kahepoi, ahivangin kahet chu hiche ahi, ‘keima mitcho kana hin tunvang kho kamutai,’” ati.
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
26 Chuin amahon adongkit tei teiyun, “Ama chun ipi abol'a iti namit chu asuhdam ham?” atiuve.
Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
27 Aman ajah'uva, “Veuvin khatvei kaseisa ahitai, nanghon nangai pouve, ibol'a avel'a najah nom kit'u ham? Nangho jong ama seijui nahi nom'u ham?” ati.
He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
28 Chuin amahon mipa chu agaosap'un, ajah'a, “Nangbou ama seijui nahin, keiho vang Mose seijui kahiuve.
Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.
29 Pathen in Mose heng'a thu asei chu kaheuve, ahinlah hichepa hi hoiya hungkon koi ahi kahepouve,” atiuvin ahi.
We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
30 Chuin amapan adonbut'in, “Hichu datmo umtah ahi, aman kamit kho musahta'a ahivanga nanghon ama hungkon na nahetlou'u chu;
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
31 Pathen in michonse ho thu angaipoi, ahivangin ama guttah a houva alunglam bolho thubou angaiye, ti iheuve.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
32 Chuleh vannoi leiset umtil apat koiham khat'in, apen'a mitcho'a peng kho amusah lam akija khapoi. (aiōn g165)
Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. (aiōn g165)
33 Hichepa hi Pathen'a kon ahilou leh aman hitobang hi abolthei lou hel ding ahi,” ati.
If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
34 Hichun amahon adonbut'un, “Nang napum'a chonse sa-a peng'a nangin keiho neihil got'u ham?” atiuvin, kikhopna in'a kon chun anodoh tauvin ahi.
They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
35 Yeshuan thilsoh umchan chu ajan, chuin mipa chu amun, ajah'a, “Nangman Mihem Chapa chu natahsan em?” ati.
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 Amapan adonbut'in, “Pu, ama chu koi ham? Keiman katahsan ding nati chu,” ati.
He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 Chuin Yeshuan adonbut'in ajah'a, “Nangman ama chu namutai, chuleh nahenga thuseiya hi ama chu ahi,” ati.
And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 Hiche pettah chun mipa chun, ajah'a, “Henge Pakai katahsan e,” atin, Yeshua chu chibai abohtai.
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39 Chuin Yeshuan amapa jah'a, “Keima mitcho hon kho amu'uva chuleh khomu'a kigel ahivanga la mitcho, hon akigel doh thei nading'uva thutan dinga vannoiya hung kahi,” ati.
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40 Hichun avel'a um Pharisee hon ajah'a, “Keiho hi mitcho neihi sah'u ham?” atiuve.
And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Mitcho hileu chun chonset na naneilou dingu ahin, tunvang nanghon kho kamui nati jeh'un, nachung'uva chonset um ahitai,” ati.
Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
