< John 2 >

And [on] the third day a wedding happened in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there,
2 Chule hiche kingona'a chun Yeshua leh aseijui ho jong akouvu ahi.
and also Jesus was called, and His disciples, to the wedding;
3 Golvahna aum petnin lengpi twi alhing tahih in, anu chun Yeshua jah'a “Lengpi twi anei tapouve,” ati.
and wine having failed, the mother of Jesus says to Him, “They have no wine”;
4 “Ngailut umtah numei, hichu eiho boipidi ahipoi” tia Yeshuan adonbut ahi. “Keima phat lhing loulai hichu,” ati.
Jesus says to her, “What [is that] to Me and to you, woman? My hour is not yet come.”
5 Ahivangin anu chun lhacha ho jah'a, “Aman najah uva asei ipi hijongleh bol un,” ati.
His mother says to the servants, “Whatever He may say to you—do.”
6 Akom tah uva chun Judate dan dung jui'a kisuhtheng na songbel lentah gup uma ahi. Bel khat chu twi-thei dim som nia pat somthum dol cheh ahi.
And there were six water-jugs of stone there, placed according to the purifying of the Jews, holding each two or three measures.
7 Yeshuan soh ho jah'a “Songbel ho chu twi sung dimun,” ati. Amahon songbel ho chu twi asung dim phatnun,
Jesus says to them, “Fill the water-jugs with water”; and they filled them—to the brim;
8 Aman ajah'uva, “Tun phabep thaldoh unlang golvah vaihompa henga choiyun,” ati. Hiti chun lhacha ho chun athupeh bang chun aboltauve.
and He says to them, “Draw out, now, and carry to the headwaiter”; and they bore.
9 Golvah vaihompa chun, twisih lengpi twi kisosah chu atep khah phatnin, ahung kondohna hechen louvin (Lhacha hon vang aheuve), moulang chu akoutai.
And as the headwaiter tasted the water become wine, and did not know where it is from (but the servants knew, who have drawn the water), the headwaiter calls the bridegroom,
10 Aman ajah'a, “Kinbol'a chun lengpi twi chihpen ahomdoh masa jin, mihon adon khop tengle, adaojep ahomji bouve. Ahin nangman tugeiyin achih pen nahom nalaiye!” ati.
and says to him, “Every man, at first, sets forth the good wine; and when they may have drunk freely, then the inferior; you kept the good wine until now.”
11 Galilee gam'a Cana khoa hiche melchih na kidang abol hi ama loupi kiphon dohna dinga anatoh masapen ahi. Chuin aseijuiten ama atahsan tauve.
This [is the] beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him;
12 Kichena golvah kichai jin, ama le anu toh, asopiho toh, chule aseijui ho toh Capernaum a nikho phabep din ache tauvin ahi.
after this He went down to Capernaum, He, and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not remain there many days.
13 Chuin Judah te kalchuh kut anai phat in, Yeshua Jerusalem'a achetai.
And the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 Houin sunga chun aman kivei mihon kilhaina thilto ding bongho, kelngoiho chule vapal ho ajoh'uva chuleh sum lhengho atouvu amu dohtai.
and He found in the temple those selling oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting,
15 Hichun Yeshuan khao phabep'a jepna ding asem in, amaho jouse chu Houin a konin adeldoh in, chule aman bongho le kelngoi ho anodoh'in, sum lhengho sumnong chu athethang peh'in chule adokhangu alekhup pehtai.
and having made a whip of small cords, He put all forth out of the temple, also the sheep, and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money-changers, and He overthrew the tables,
16 Chuin, vapal joh ho koma achen ajah uva, “Hiche hohi hilai mun'a konin podoh un. Kapa In chu nanghon kailhang mun sosah hih un,” ati.
and He said to those selling the doves, “Take these things from here; do not make the house of My Father a house of merchandise.”
17 Hichun aseijuiten, Pathen lekhabua themgao thusei, “Na-in dinga katompan hin katha jouse eine chaiye,” tichu ahin gel doh tauve.
And His disciples remembered that it is written: “The zeal of Your house ate Me up”;
18 Ahivangin Judah vaipo hon ajah'a “Ipi ham nabol? Hitobang bolna dinga thuneina Pathen in napeh mong ahileh amelchihna kidang khat neimusah un,” atiuve.
the Jews then answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us—that You do these things?”
19 Yeshuan adonbut'in, “Aphai, hiche Houin hi suchim un, chule Keiman nithum in tungdoh inge,” ati.
Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Hichun amaho tijatah'in, “Hiche Houin sah na a kum som li le kum gup jen lut'a, nangin nithum'a iti nasah doh ding ong?” atiuve.
The Jews, therefore, said, “This temple was built [in] forty-six years, and will You raise it up in three days?”
21 Ahivangin, Yeshuan hiche Houin ati chu Ama tahsa aseina ahibouve.
But He spoke concerning the temple of His body;
22 Hiche hi Ama thina a kona kaithouva a um nung chun, aseijuiten ipi aseina ahi ahin geldoh un, Pathen lekhabua thuho leh Yeshua thusei ho atahsan tauve.
when, then, He was raised out of the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this to them, and they believed the Writing, and the word that Jesus said.
23 Kalchuh kut laiya, Jerusalem'a aumpet'a Yeshuan thil kidang melchihna abolho jeh chun mitamtah in ama atahsan tauve.
And as He was in Jerusalem, in the Passover, in the celebration, many believed in His Name, beholding His signs that He was doing;
24 Ahivangin amaho chu Yeshuan atahsan poi, ajehchu mihem hina chu aman ahetsa ahi.
and Jesus Himself was not trusting Himself to them, because of His knowing all [men],
25 Ama dingin mikhat thudol adang khat in ama henga hettohsah angaipoi, ajeh chu mijouse lungsung ahetsa ahi.
and because He had no need that any should testify concerning man, for He Himself was knowing what was in man.
